Each mine produces around 3 gold per day and 49 stone every 50th day.

every 50th day? And also this city is gaining about 1 peasant a day. what gives?

Yeah look in bugs and errors, alot of people have had this problem, but it will change when you build more buildings

it means that one out of the 50 days a stone will not be produced for each peasant.
