As revenge was still stuck in the hole he ran his around the walls , they however had not been consumed by the eary gel substance, they where in fact made of some sort of metal
" Whats happening " cried revenge " A black goo has engulfed the walls and our feet" " I was told about this trap, by elders in a town on the way here" " The only way to actually escape it is to try andslow your heart rate" " The goo will loosen "
"Then you must act fast before it re-engulfs your feet , try standing on something already engulfed "

[ Yes, I know we are away from the naval point, that is why I want to finish this chapter, but I have difficulties with all the small posts and elaborate improvisations,... the next post will be a long one, so it will take some time. It will be ready by 30 mins, so post only if it is very important,...]
[ And for heavans sake, all new people, just check the first posts for the rules, is it that hard to think up of? And if anybody wants to join, please send me a PM so we can get him in the story smoothly. ]

22:19:03 Nov 23rd 07 - Lord Ragnarr The Wolf:
(I don't usually do this, but some of the previous posts might be ignored. Sorry, lads.)
Ragnarr ignored the quarrels amongst his warrior commrades. He raised his sword and smashed the hilt part in the mechanism Seloc touched a while ago, after which he kicked open the large gates. They heavily swung and bashed into the walls at the sides, revealling some chambers that looked like Freyja's owns. In the middle, between a colonade of huge red marble lay a golden circle on the ground, with richly decorated chairs on its circonfirance. At the middle stood a low pedestall, with a closed book standing on it. Was it just him or did it have an aura? But that did not catch his eye for long, as a tall figure stood behind it. "I thought you would never manage to come." it spoke. Ragnarr paced forward, closely followed by the rest. Lord Seloc had his sword in defensive position, Septim had raised it, ready to attack anything. Lord Bacardi had his blade in his sheath still, yet safely holding its hilt. Erunion was staring ahead, focusing, obviously some elven sourcery. Verll and Might protected the rear, wondering if they should go back and help Revenge or follow the rest. There were about five more warriors, all on guard. Kormac took an arrow out and placed it on his bow of Elven Cherrywood. "I suggest you lower your weapons." the figure spoke. A slight rattle of chainmail and steel sounded around. Ragnarr looked up - the wall had small windows, between arches and columns around its length, placed higher that they were. There were quarbs there, with spears, bows, blades and knives, all with the black robes. It was obvious that this was a trap in the begining, yet Ragnarr just wanted to end all this. The figure came out of the shade to reveal an impressive, large black robed warrior, with rich armor and a rough, swarthy face. "Before we just wanted the ransom, for you lot would cost a lot of topazes and gold,... until you killed Mahmoud ibn-al-Abbas, my own blood brother." Ragnarr kept silent, looking at the man with icey eyes and a stone face. "This is a matter of honour. The one who killed him shall fight with me. If no one confesses, then a volley of a thousand arrows will send you straight to the seventh hell." "I killed him." said Ragnarr, although he knew it was a lie. The tall man kept silent for a fraction of a second. "Leave us." A tide of guards leapt out of the doors and pushed the rest back, out of the hall, too fast to give them time to respond. The gates shut in front of them, leaving them face to face with the black robes. The guards stood still. They had no intention to fight, unless if attacked. Inside the hall, the sounds of combat came.
[ I'll continue shortly. You can post now, just please don't do something absoulutely out of the current theme,... ]

22:52:57 Nov 23rd 07 - Lord Ragnarr The Wolf:
The curved blade of the quarb swung quickly, cutting the air deadly, leaving Ragnarr a fraction of a second to dodge it. The northman ducked and jumped in a spin to strike the side of the black robed figure, but it was too fast. He parried the sudden strike of the yatagan (the curved eastern sword) and pushed the man away, leaving him fall on the floor. Ragnarr raised his greatsword high and cut deeply down, but the quarb rolled away quickly, jumped to his feet and by the time Ragnarr had his sword out of the marble floor, cut a deep gash in the northman's righr arm. Ragnarr spun away and hacked at the quarb, but the hit was all power, no accuracy. The man jumped away and ran forward, slashing sideways with the yatagan. Ragnarr blocked the first strike, and the second, the third one slipped passed his sword, onto the hilt and on his chest, nearly piercing it through, if he had not kicked the man away with a mighty kick. "Gah!..." the quarb grunted as he stood up again. The northman waited him to stand up and made an accurate, clear cut directed for the neck, but the other elegantly blocked and swiftly turned round, making a low slash, which Ragnarr blocked in the last instant, leaving himself exposed for a moment. The quarb used it and made a high kick at his face. Ragnarr fell to the ground, on his back. The quarb stabbed to the ground. The northman rolled away, but too slowly. The yatagan pierced his belly painfully through the chainmail. Ragnarr stood up slowly, leaning on the small pedistall with the book on it. The quarb hardly did any moves, as his victory was ceratin. The northman chocked and spat blood. "This ends now." The quarb raised the curved blade high and struck where Ragnarr was a moment ago, before he dodged out of the slash. The sword had hacked in two the book with the aura instead. A terrifying look flashed in the man's eyes. "God almighty,..." he whispered. Ragnarr used the moemt to spin around, come to the side of the quarb, who delayed his second slash to much, and had his head. A moment rest. The northman chocked more blood out. It was finished. He paced slowly towards the door. The book behind started to glow brighter and brighter. Some magic was ruined, a sudden unbalance caused by the shattereing of the spells in the tome. The pages caught fire, but the light grew brighter. By the time the northman was half way to the door, an imense explosion of blue and violet flames arouse, send a wave of flames and released magic power swept through the room. The gates burst open, and Ragnarr's last thought before becoming unconsious was Arnora. The guild of the black robes was on fire.

23:00:46 Nov 23rd 07 - Mr. Erunion Telcontar:
Erunion was watching, in his head, the proceedings of the battle, waiting with baited breath for the conclusion. Then he saw what was coming, the book was about to be destroyed. A look of horror passed across his face as he leapt to the door, throwing it open. A fantastic burst of blue flame came out, a wedge of safety appearing in it. If Ragnarr had been a few seconds slower... Thankfully the group was sheltered by this. "We must get out of here! Kormac, Might, grab Ragnarr, then we run! That shield will fail any second now, and I don't know how long this fire will last! Hurry! Run back to the harbor! NOW! I will hold it off as long as I can!"

09:44:03 Nov 24th 07 - Mr. Revenge:
As the elf held back the door, Revenge was able to escape the trap by craking an old wall and passed into another room from where he found stairs,
Revenge ran around the complex , until he felt a large energy force , he ran towards the.locationer and came to see the elf holding back an incredible power , Revenge ran down the corridor , even increasing in heat as he got closer to the force
As he got there he saw the elven man losing grip on the force , slowly slipping away. Slowly dying. Revenge only had one idea, it risked his life and the elves life , he placed his arm upon the elf and transfered his own aura , his own strength . His own soul.... . The elven man stood strong, his eyes turned black , his arms bulged , his legs thickened , his aura doubled , tripled , Revenge was thrown to the floor by the meer power the elf was admitting. The power that was being admitted by the room was pushed back, Revenge managed to get to his feet and pulled the door shut , weak he may have been, as the door rolled shut the elven man collapased to the floor, the weak Revenge lifted his new friends body onto his shoulder, and stumbled out of the cave , the cave itself began to crumble
He managed to pull them both out of the cave and into the opening , his eyes nearly burned by the light given out in the cave, and his body drained ,Revenge collapsed to the ground, with him came Erunion...
[ was that ok ?]

"Ready the ship lads! Ragnarr is down!", roared Septim.

11:57:21 Nov 24th 07 - Sir Verll:

"I think maybe we should hurry a bit!" he screamed to the crew on the ship, and then he helped making the ship ready for departing.

12:39:57 Nov 24th 07 - Lord Jonny Bacardi The Ruined Son:
*Jonny ran onto the ship. And immediately started getting the arms ready. The huge amount of arrows had been delivered and paid for, thankfully. Jonny laid down as many of the axes and bows as he thought might be needed, then he started helping the rest of the crew with readying the ship for sailing.*

12:47:46 Nov 24th 07 - Mr. Revenge:
|
17:34:04 Nov 24th 07 - Lord Seloc:
[Revenge stop posting crap, pm Ragnarr if you need to. You guys have been bussy, and you left Erunion and Revenge behind...o well.]
Seloc boarded the 'Blue Ray', threw his swords to the nearest sailors, and gave him orders to clean them and put them on his hammock. He then gave his head a good scratch whilst trying to work out what had just happened.
Seloc: "Kon, get Doc and head to the 'Stormborn' it seems Ragnarr has been injured again." Kon: "Aye sir, what sort of injury?" Seloc: "I painful one I suspect....O and tell Might he's under orders to guard Ragnarr till he's better, Ragnarr won't like it but well...."
Seloc trailed off, leaving Kon staring at him. He eventually left once he'll realised the convesation was over. Moving over to the Rail, Seloc stared at the 'Stormborn', watching and as an organised havoc was under way, everyone trying to assist their captain. Gathering clean bandages, or fetching drink, some would even be offering obscene cures, to take away the pain. Remembering his previous gut injury, one man had suggesting hanging him upside down on the mast, whilst slapping his body with wet fish.....He had been left behind for disobeying orders shortly after. This chain of though quickly lead Seloc the realise the elf was absent, not that it mattered, once less elf in the world made Seloc's job easier.
Thor: "Sir, we setting off?" Seloc: "What?...o umm no, not until we get the orders too." Thor: "That makes a change sir." Seloc: "What do you mean?" Thor: "Well you didn't return, at the head of a huge column insitant that we leave at once."

17:52:40 Nov 24th 07 - Lord Ragnarr The Wolf:
XI. The Mist, Sent by the Old Gods
Kormac and Eyjolf were running down the docks. On each of them a figure was leaning, limping, looking dead. "The elf and other mage are here,..." yelled Eyjolf. "Now let's get the hell out of here,.." Soon all were on the longships, ready to do exactly what Kormac said. They had hardly noticed the change in nature around them. Not often does this happen in these parts - a sea fog had arrived at Quar-Ashel with the retreat of the night's darkness to the spears of light. "It's aid from the Old Gods,." was the whispering among the men, who were greatful for the mist. A silent setting sail was what they needed now - no persuers, for they were sure the whole city was fed up with the northerners. Septim, as second in command on the Stormborn was on the commander's deck, overlooking the hastey work. The longships departed from the docks in the early morning and sailed slowly towards the opening of the port, towards the Sea of Sorrow, leaving Quar-Ashel behind...

23:01:53 Nov 24th 07 - Lord Jonny Bacardi The Ruined Son:
[OOC:I thought Septim got Erunion and revenge out? Or did I read that incorrectly?]
As Jonny started yelling at the men to get organized, the fog started creeping closer. When he got a second to catch his breath, he turned to Verll, who had taked a small break to clean off the mystical dagger he still had.
"Thank god for that fog. We're going to get away from here, and live to tell about it. I bet they have almost half the city looking for us. I feel bad for all the merchants that we bought from though, they will probably be interrogated, and then disposed of. Sad way of life, this city has."
|
02:18:44 Nov 25th 07 - Mr. Erunion Telcontar:
{He did, But that was a little behind Seloc, because of the delays. Revenge, the post where you helped me, that was a good one! Try not to godmod on the others, nobody acts as someone else except Ragnarr.}
Erunion was out. Completely unconscious, and not in good shape. Thankfully, Toreanan was not. When he felt his lord fall, He started running towards him, like an arrow to the target. He was able to assist the fast tiring Septim in getting this strange new fellow and his lord back to the boats. Once he got back, he found organized chaos, all centering around Ragnarr. Running forward, he yelled; "DO Any of you half-witted louts know how to pour a potion down a throat!?!?!? Since you are all, So intelligent and wise, I'll heal the Captain, but it won't be easy, and it won't be complete. These wounds have had to long t fester, and with the overload of magic in that place, it will be even harder. One more thing, the Duke collapsed from magical strain, which will make it hard for him to get out of bed for a couple of days, and when he does, his magic will not be at full power for a week or so. Thank you for doing nothing, you blasted fools!"
|
05:03:32 Nov 25th 07 - Mr. Might:
*Might sees this Toreanan yelling at everyone about how stupid they were and grins at how all the "nobility" seem to think they know everything. Even the servants.* "Excuse me but I have been taking care of Lord Ragnarr and all the "magical" help needed is with the deeper wounds. Everything else will be fine with a day or two of rest." [Im starting not to like elves...]
|
12:32:14 Nov 25th 07 - Mr. Revenge:
After a while Revenge awoke , not knowing what had happend and grabbed one of the crew and put a knife to his throat
" Where am I " Revenge exclaimed " Your aboard the Stormborn " the young man replied
Revenge let go of the boy and said sorry Revenge was not quite with it yet and was still very drained It was then that he wondered what had happened to the elf he saved He asked the young boy where the elf was
" Hes is resting I believe " replied the shaken boy " Thankyou my son "
As Revenge rushed into the room where the elven man was ,there was Toreanan beside his lord waiting for his eyes to re-open. Revenge passed him a hip-flask of liquid he had and told the elf to pour it into the elven mans mouth and incourage him to swallow
" That should get him going a little faster , nothing a few herbs cant do " with a smile on his face Revenge returned to his own bed still very tired and a bit bemussed about his surroundings and the dense fog they had come aross
[ Was that ok?]
|
13:44:18 Nov 25th 07 - Lord Jonny Bacardi The Ruined Son:
[OOC could you use names. Saying the elf is kind of, well, you lose attention there. It was nice, I liked it anyways.]
Jonny was still getting the ship in order. He was trying to get the ship into peak sailing condition. As they sailed through the fog, it was very evident that all the ships that would try to pursue them from Qual-Ashel would more likely then not find them. They where having trouble seeing the Blue Ray which wasn't even very far away from them.
|
15:28:44 Nov 25th 07 - Mr. Erunion Telcontar:
{Good job Revenge. That was very good. Might, I think you misunderstood Toreanan. He's calling you all stupid fools because he's extremely worried for his lord's health, but because you guys did very little to help, he would have to deal with healing the captain, instead of concentrating solely on Erunion. Ragnarr will also now take even longer to heal then he would have if he'd just been given a potion a long time back...}

16:53:27 Nov 25th 07 - Mr. Revenge:
The fog had thinned up a bit after a few days, people had been healed , erunion had been able to get to his feet and we where just able to see the blueray to the right of us, we hadnt been able for days. Yet still the days and nights passed and not a sign of life until the blueray spotted an opening in the fog they signaled to us and we steered the boat into the opening
We managed to settle in the clearing , a bit fresher feeling among the men. Revenge did not feel right though, he told a few people about this but they just replied
" A bit sick sick lad "
Why wouldnt it be ? he thought to himself as he never had been at sea for this long
[ i decided not to write alot , leave it to people who have done it a long time, i tried writing alot and it just didnt seem right , a bit more time then maybe ]
