Why did he get banned?

A good spammer is smart enough not to get himself banned. Just like a good criminal is one smart enough not to get himself arrested. :-P

yeah i feel that too, sometimes the mods do misuse their powers...

 hehe, yeah, Osi is bad about deleting posts, is he the one that mods the suggestions forum also?

meh, maybe mods should be voted on?  seems like several have long-term hatreds with some players, and are unfairly harsh to them :(

I cannot think of the "several" that have long term hatreds that would ban someone because of that.  For all you know it could have been Zeta himself...

Technically that is true. But if that certain Mod annoys the hell out of Zeta by whinning and complaining that if he doesnt ban this person blah blah blah Zeta will just give in to shut that mod up. I remember a mod like a few eras ago that b1tched and complained and Zeta finally banned that player the mod hated so much. hmm what was his name!?!?! its on the tip of my tongue...

Wilberforce now informs me that he was banned also...

frankie clearly has no clue about anything it seems. Zeta bans who he wants when he wants. if a mod posts a valid reason for a ban zeta considers it then might act and might not. there are many more people on this forum who should be serving bans.

erebus. Zeta is the only mod for the suggestions section. no other mod touches it

Correct me if I'm wrong but I think he made a post calling VU hopeless and a lost cause. I thought he was being sarcastic, but that post was deleted and he got banned right after that.

Thats what I think the final straw was, not sure tho.

Admin, I think it's time to unban soccer.  We all know he's a bit slow but this punishment is really hard on him.  I don't think he'll ever recover fully from the trauma.  Please?

NOW...I love it when peeps chat about someone that cant defend themselves so here I go off the rocker again

Firstly, ZETA and NONE of of the mods made NO written, verbal, smoke cloud, telex, fax or hand signing gesture to ANY warning. GET THE FACTS STRAIGHT.

Secondly - Advertising - WTF - Do i look like im advertising something ...did i call myself google pimp.

Criticism of a mod is based on their bias. You want to be a mod....moderate ALL...not just the bits you want.

Stay on topic - The discussion had a VERY VALID question...who was a certain member of my KD. The KD made an effort to use themes for players names. I made REFERENCE to the players names by quoting links to THE WIKIPEDIA...not ebay fool. Had they asked what color is the sky - and i answered "Blue - Like this T Shirt available now on ebay for a credit crunch special offer price of 1-99...available in red yellow and green....get it now while stocks last"....then yes....sue me for advertising. But the WIKI....an Open Source Educational Reference Guide...WTF...get real....

I recall one mod questioning an army of mine...it was Named Scipio Africanus....the mod felt the name was offensive....when in fact it was named after one of the great Roman generals credited for bringing down Hannibal.

Maybe they need some time to read some of the wiki....obviously school was a non-hit for them.

So...I assume that straying off topic includes drawings of stickmen, referencing different cheese types and 90% of the other nub answers that get posted.  Being a mod requires you to use the same brush to tar all...don't understand that phrase...go look it up.
