theres no website... we would agree to go somewhere or use a program (most likely) to all play together on specific days. Although we could attempt to use a forum, though im not as fond of that idea.

So what only 1 person wants to play?

Back in high school, I used to play D&D 2nd edition. Back when we had things like, "Armor Class" and THAC0 and Saving Throws. Then when 3rd edition came out, I had already graduated and stopped playing. Now I just read novels based in the worlds.

Though when I did DM, I was voted 'Most Sadistic DM' in school. I guess when my players were trained to search for traps in every room and ask if there's a cliff or pool of acid in the next random direction they're fixing to travel in I earned that title. ;-)

Well, if we were to do this, I'd want people that have the 2nd edition rules (I've got 3rd Ed books, but I've not seen a game of it run, so I'd rather stick with what I'm comfortable with.). I also want some 'serious' RP-er's on this. Anything that runs along the lines of Septim's Bar and Grill will face major sadism or a Torrasque. Depending on what mood I'm in. ;-)

Oh damn,...always wanted to play the real boardgame,...never got even near to seeing it or to getting enough money,...

Alright... what times are people free to play first?   If no agreeable time can be made then probably use forums. Though honestly ive never done forums before so not sure how it would work. Im guessing it would go...

I would prefer to play using Fantasy Grounds. If needed I have most of the AD&D 2nd edition books in pdf format.  I can put the common ones on my site for download if people need them.

Fizban, do you use standard or skills and powers option for character generation?  Also what campaign setting would you be using?  If DL, I want to be a kender!

What part of the 4th age are you thinking of using?  Before the War of the Lance, during or after?

Anyway I'm uploading the PHB, DMG, a few monster manuals, and a book on DL campaign setting to my site. I didn't read what era but it'll help people who are interested in learning something about the setting.

I'll post a link to the download later once it's finished uploading.

id play, but i have no idea how to play real D&D. ive played baldurs gate and neverwinter nights so i know how the system works and stuff, but never played tabletop style

Imagine those games but 1000 times better, well if you can get past not having graphics and having to imagine everything going on.  The ability do use abilities in a creative way, talk your way out of trouble etc is great. 

It is really easy to learn the game too, though the game itself takes awhile when playing online. Basically all you need to know to play the game is in the PHB (Players Hand Book) which is included in the zip file I added above.  Don't worry you don't need to read the entire book to play just follow the instructions for creating a character and read a little on the combat section, and if you're playing a mage or cleric you'll need to go through the spells you can learn.  I don't recommend anyone makes a cleric though until we find out what part of the 4th age Fizban plans on using, as pre-War of the Lance there were no real clerics, and probably won't be allowed if he's using that.
