Not if the Protoss establish a strong arial presence. Then they could just end up slipping a bunch of Templar into your area and causing area of effect damage that just turns your troops into pools of blood.

But since I have the donation abilities, my Overlords are automatically made Overseers, and with a high Mining sciences my Lurkers will make quick work of those chewy Templars!

Any skilled Protoss player would have observers and the Templars would have a more balanced fight against the lurkers. Losses would be heavy on both sides, but the high and cheap magic science that the Protoss have would make the fight slowly one-sided due to their long range abilities.

I remember the races here, and can pretty much perform well with any of them, just need to find out the adjustments, as I should be here for the next era!

Actually as Arthur Dent said, every race can be the best if you know how to use it... for example Dwards can be best if Gokken or Sloth use em, or Orcs can still be the best when Fire Lord Nova uses them... The main problem with Halflings and Dwarfs is the army upkeep :)
