Music Taste
06:01:05 Mar 15th 23 - Revolution (Lord Uther Pendragon):

So how has everyone's music taste changed over the years?

I still listen to grunge and metal. Picked up playing the piano, went on to writing better music but ultimately dropped that dream.

I would up liking jazz music quite a bit when I picked up swing dancing, but still prefer groups like Alter Bridge and breaking it up with classical and jazz.

What's your favorite band/artist of all time?

I would say that mine is still Soundgarden. Never gets old.

I've started allowing electronic and techno to my playlists these days in comparison to them being pure with only rock and related music before.

Never gets old:

13:59:12 Mar 15th 23 - Sable (Marquess Sable The Returned):

I picked up Pop Punk around 2017 and it's been a game changer. Whiny voiced singers doing harmonic melodies over trashy guitars. It's beautiful.

14:22:29 Mar 15th 23 - HorusPanic (Mr. Zig):

mostly emo, post hardcore but still melodic stuff

sometimes i'm in the mood for folksy punk or indie rock too

16:54:05 Mar 15th 23 - Revolution (Lord Uther Pendragon):

So Horus, based off of that I would assume that you listen to He Is Legend?
They are great.

19:10:28 Mar 15th 23 - Lord Jellybean (Mr. Karmatic):

any of you like Midwest Emo??

American Football, Mineral, Brave Little Abacus etc

selective taste I think because the vocals are kinda rough

...

other I really enjoy electronic artists like Jamie XX, Caribou, Four Tet, Aphex Twin etc etc

I like Midwest emo. It crosses over with .y pop punk Playlist every now and then.

Lately I've been on a big Hot Mulligan kick but they're probably not technically midwest emo

19:54:16 Mar 15th 23 - HorusPanic (Sir Horus al):

I like the midwest emo from older Get Up Kids

19:54:19 Mar 15th 23 - Mr. Evilbreak:

AC-DC

WHITESNAKE
GUNS N ROSES
AEROSMITH
IMAGINE DRAGONS
KISS
METALICA
OASIS
OCEAN COLOR SCENE
PAUL WELLER
BLUR
PULP
ROLLING STONES
QUEEN

Non of the list above gets old - no real Artists nowadays electro music can be ok if remixed properly ,dislike rap music and we just went through a decade of where i didnt like chart music.

20:03:40 Mar 15th 23 - Ms. Jasmine:

Its pretty difficult to explain what I listen to.

I listen to almost eveything.

Dance, RnB, Rap, Rock
I just do not listen to electro, opera and country music

I do not even listen to country music from my country which is most popular here.

When it comes to rock
I only like ballads.
Like Nothing Else Matters or Unforgiven are two masterpieces
But another hit from Metallica for example Whiskey in Jar I can't listen to.
I love Under The Bridge from RHCP but harder songs I can't listen to.

When it comes to rap I like oldies, I do not like the new stuff
Other than NF nothing out of "newer" rap I like.
I can always listen stuff from Tupac.

When it comes to Pop and RnB my favorite would be Sia, Beyonce, Rihanna
I have yet to find song by Sia that I do not like. I also like Billie Eilish
I love Alex Benjmanin, Edd Sheeran, Adele, way too many to list all.

21:14:27 Mar 15th 23 - Sable (Marquess Sable The Returned):

Yo shoutout to NF and Ed Sheeran +1

21:28:59 Mar 15th 23 - Mr. Mullet Also:

i think i have like a whole shitty thread that sums up my shitty taste in music fairly succinctly

04:54:59 Mar 16th 23 - Lord Jellybean (Mr. Karmatic):

Horus I listened to Four Minute Mile from them based on your suggestion, I really dig it thanks for recommendation :)

07:24:53 Mar 16th 23 - Mr. Koool:

all styles though not after say 2005 or so... todays music aint got the same soul.. i like that old time rock n roll..!!!!

14:19:21 Mar 17th 23 - HorusPanic (Mr. Huge):

Something to Write Home About

is equally good to Four minute mile

15:04:57 Mar 17th 23 - Revolution (Lord Uther Pendragon):

Have to agree with you Koool, it's rare that something just doesn't feel contrived in a boardroom somewhere.

The weird genre for me, the thing that stands out in everything I listen to, would have to be swing-dance era music. Other than that, it's Jazz, Metal, and Rock.

I have been listening to a band called Inglorious a lot, it really itches the 80s metalhead in me quite a bit. Haven't listened to their newest album though. I'd suggest starting with the self titled album and going forward from there for best experience.
