It is with joy and good memories that I will be quitting vu for some time now! I wanted to salute all players who have been playing this noble game, players who know me or not, who fought with me or against me. A lot of great memories in real life happened because of this game and community.
Here will share some of my stories, then name some players i happen to remember then give some few game tips. Hope you also share your memories and I encourage others to also post their memories below or on another post.
I had first discovered vu with a random internet search, don't exactly remember how i got on the site. I started playing in the middle of an era era 7 or 9 i think, my name was maximus back then... my earliest memory of the game was someone asking me to open the gates for his army to pass on the other side and that he would not attack me if I opened the gates. I thought it was a trcik and once my gates would be open, he would more easily take over the city, so i refused... Having told him that I would not open the gates, he then proceeded to take over that city which was blocking his path and then my other city nearby which left me dead... I forgot that person's name.. if someone remembers being that person then please identify yourself as memories are fun.
I then understood that a good economy was necessary to be strong... next era I had written a small plan with dwarf... Was doing great untill I left for vacation for two weeks, I then completely forgot about the game and it took another 6 months - 1 1/2 years ? to accidentally rediscover the game. Sometimes after, I played with the Illuminati Empire lead by arzun, a good 6 eras in a row untill it disbanded. The Illuminati Empire was a great experience, had played under the name The Viking, and then later to remain as The Gladiator. Illuminati was a pretty good experience despite facing strong aliances and loosing often. Overall it was a fun experience - and we remained very strong one era when Vendetta kd had cast Armageddon. The last era I felt a little frustrated though, as one member of the kd
was getting his cities stolen from an allied/napped kingdom and even
though I had an ingenious plan to put chaos and crush that kingdom
within a short ammount of time, arzun would not let me act, next era
arzun quit Iluminati Empire to join another one called Dark Blood - I
left to start my own kd known as The Dacians or just Dacii(in romanian)
- Illuminati was appointed new leaders but quickly died and disbanded
So I created my kingdom - no matter how hard, I told myself that I would not depend on others again. The first era was a pretty successfull one I'd say, although with a handfull of members, the dacians along with another new kd called cow milk and another minor one(forgot name) had successfully overthrown a well established one - called "hell on earth". On a matter of fact, I have often chosen to oppose "devil", ''force of evil'' and such kds. Leader of Cow Milk and myself were friends for some time and allies, later becoming enemies for good. Leader of Cow milk was pretty good player though - and forgot his name... if it's you then please identify yourself here ... memories are good
Another Era I remember was when Dacii was at it's peak in terms of members... we had 22 members on a lower world, a good part were active, though 3-4-5 members were trully helping. I remember this era as a painfull one, Dacians were the most populated kd and I aimed to controll the whole map since the opposition was somewhat small at start. This turned to be a bad era, perhaps the most painfull one for the kingdom, we had a slow death, before being completely took over by that swarm kd and it's allies. Thanks to all who fought along in this, and I blame myself only for the loss. Thanks also to a guy named Metal or Magnesium dont remember who despite being free to choose his side to fight on and being the strongest stayed till the end with the Dacians. A good player aswell with a good spirit and values. After that loss, The Dacians had lost some of the members who left. Should I note that despite the painfull slow death, the era was a very good lesson for me, and I would not be as good as I have been if not for that era.
Next era in Mantrax.. Dacians had around 10 members... Landed near a kd called Agent Smith, which was a heavy favorite to win. That era was my only era with Elf I think. Agents Smiths had 20+ members or so I think, almost all of them active. Some of those 10 members we had were new to the game, some were not against Agent Smith which I believe were mostly experienced players. A plan was put up though to beat them, we had defeated the merge coming towards us and counter attacked. That era, we came very close to an invasion and upset.
Some other memories; Dacians against LDK in Fantasia, LDK was a strong kingdom with 32 members or so I think, while Dacians with 2 members(me and another guy, forgot name) and landed in the middle of LDK Core. LDK had offered a merge into them but we refused. So I drew a plan with my other member and we lasted a good 7-10 days. My member had then been took over and died. 1-2 days later I died aswell. However victory and further resistance was not that far from us at some point.
Other memories; In mantrax, Dacians started out as 3-man kd. One went inactive around mid era. We started out strong though, Within a week took over kd named "Heaven" led by Argyle. Argyle has a good spirit and values should I mention though, later becoming friends with Heaven. After that, we came out to attack Roc kd was it, or Hard Rock, or guitar something helped by Predators. Dacians had 2 members by then, me and guy(forgot name - though he was renmaed as mr.OMA One man army later) and did great winning even more battles. That era we had the most battles won per member ratio, best win/loss ratio of kds all over vu. We also found out that one kd had breached the nap terms by spying on our armies with eits and closing gates to protect kds in a war with us, but we punished them aswell. This era was a huge success for the kd as we finished second I believe while being only 2 players, and would prove that numbers was not required to do well - but strategy and good plans determined fate. Would like to say thanks to that member but also the other who was inactive halway through
Other things to remember; Dacians against that Kd led by Pirate Lewatha which was a favorite to win the era on mantrax despite other good kds playing in mantrax like predators, elements and trio... After sending a message to the leader of that kd led by Pirate Lewatha (Forgot name of kd), there was no response. Within 12 hours she would be dead - a good blow, and within 24 hours the kd was crumbling and most people were dead. Meanwhile I had took over another small 3 people kd on another direction. Nobody could believe that Lewatha's kingdom was defeated, while a lot of people had not even started playing! Members of The Dacians later came at ROC kd with great force. Some people however would not believe what the Dacians just did, some even thought that I had several multiple accounts!!! That era I had also set a personal record for myself, with as many as 8 armies on the hoh in same time - Including the top 6 spots or more I think. Those armies were over cities, so I could either have the top 8 most powerfull cities or top8 armies.
Other eras to remember; The one where The Dacian's flag was replaced by that of the US, and Instead of Dacii nickname for kd was Bush! - I've put it as a commemoration to George W Bush. That era I was alone in my kingdom, but also mannaged to conquer a pretty big one by myself. Within a week, I had more than 32 cities or so, all protected by 6 blockers. I had a real core. Foundation kd was right north of me, and urged for a nap. I then proceeded to get more naps as I got busier with real life, and finally give away my cities for good as the game of vu would start to hurt me in real life, and I needed to get rid of it.
Ive played the game with the premise that the sky is the limit. If one large kingdom can win the whole map as territory then why wouldnt the same large kingdom owned by one instead of many not be able to do the same? Now the admin has took some measures against that premise, which I find somewhat unjust. Though I salute the admin for making the game and the great memories

Pirate Lewatha and friends - Haha thanks for not replying to that first message I sent you! But trully you are a good female leader which is rather rare and very well. Also I will never forget when you told me I was the best player you had ever seen and ever was (even if its not true, good to hear). Sometimes I still think about that before going to sleep!
Arch Shade - A very good leader, nice having talked to you a hwile ago, impress me aswell how fast you learn
Bling Bob - Nice having talked to you, a well principled person, and keep the money rolling! I hope to see you again
Duke Argyle - A very nice person. Hope to have played more with you but seems like time decided otherwise. If one wants to join a kd, I suggest you join his.
TBL - The born Looser/Superman? - Don't know exactly when you started playing or if it was against or with Dacians, but you say you have learned a lot from me and I can confirm you are a good player.
Magnesium or Metal - You have been a loyal player and very ood member of dacians, thanks.
CrissxCross - a very good player. Without you, there is no chance we would have beaten Dark Blood. You didint believe at first though that we'd be able to beat the previous era winner, and yet you did the most effort to achieve this. Also salute to the king of ldk whom i forgot his name.
Hanky Panky - you beat us once, and you had a good kd. Thanks for the memories
Revenge or Vengence or Random? - How are you doing? Although you betrayed dacians when in it, I had forgotten this episode. Furthermore you seem to be a well principled person and not easily fooled by the mainstream media... Hope all is well
Dakarius, Ms.Noidea, Soccer and friends ; was fun being in your kd even though chaotic!
Forgot some people; I have a bad memory, and when people keep changing names, it dosent help at all. Listed some people who their name came to my mind, and must have forgotten 3-4 times more names than those listed, if you have some memories with or against the dacians or me then please share them and we will remember.
-------------- Some people and KD leaders have asked me on multiple occasions to join them and teach their players how to play. I think it's up to each one to become better, but here are some tips you might want to consider;
- Don't share your best strategies with others, keep them to yourself or you will regret it later on - If there is a new guide posted somewhere then chances are that it is known by too many, and following that guide won't give you much of an advantage. The best guides are the guides that haven't been posted yet. -Don't depend on others to get what you want - go for it yourself - If you die, at least die in honor and don't restart - When you loose, try to think about what your opponent did to beat you and how you could improve for next time. Learning from mistakes is one of the best ways to improve. Real life tip - Also don't entirely depend on this game to have fun in life, Don't let your future depend on school, your teachers/grades or your parents but rather go for your own voice... Or you will end up as a 9 to 5 every day normal guy

Stirlin - I know it's long and you might not know me aswell as many others, but
for those who did, it's fun to leave something that people can
remember. So I thought Id write this not to forget it myself or
others... If you quit one day it might be a good thing to write down
your memories or what you did, so you can come back and read it after
some time, because time is a thief and memories are priceless
William And his Pink rhino - Nope, you played with a different name, however will try to think back and remind myself of vices... thanks for speaking out and nice to know some people enjoyed being in such an unsteady kd that dacii was!

i remember when you landed in LDK core. i was on LDK then. i was very angry on you when you posted our core map on VU forum :D. You was dying but you was still fighting day after day. gladiator name fit for you :D
