01:52:52 Sep 16th 07 - Mr. Leafblighter: I've been seeing a lot of people that are using the Wheel Of Time names for their names and armies and was just curious as to how many people were interested in this series. Guess this would do better as a discussion, so how many people that are following the series think he can wrap it up in one more book?
02:15:49 Sep 16th 07 - Mr. Dakarius: funny, my first conversation with osi was over the wheel of time.
02:53:40 Sep 16th 07 - Lord Epyon: thats the one by Robert Jordan, right?
02:59:55 Sep 16th 07 - Mr. Erunion Telcontar: Yes it is, and I believe that it can be done. With a great deal of talent... And a lot of pages...
05:06:35 Sep 16th 07 - Lord Epyon: I remember hearing that Robert Jordan was really sick and has been in the hospital a lot and is trying to get the last book done. Please correct me if thats wrong, but I hope he can finish ^^
05:51:38 Sep 16th 07 - Mr. Xiax: I also heard he is battling some sort of disease, but I am not sure if he can fini*beep* in one more book unless it's a really long book.
09:11:35 Sep 16th 07 - Mr. Spoon: Ejaculation!
09:30:16 Sep 16th 07 - Lord Yerean: read every book till 11th.. waiting for last...
09:37:04 Sep 16th 07 - Mr. Seloc: what are the books about?
10:26:09 Sep 16th 07 - Mr. Leafblighter:
12:03:23 Sep 16th 07 - Mr. Seloc: Don't think I want to read about a world controled by women...
12:11:45 Sep 16th 07 - Sir Ragnarr Stormguard: You lads have to read the series "A Song of Ice and Fire" by Goerge R. R. Martin.
16:19:58 Sep 16th 07 - Mr. Erunion Telcontar: Hmmm, I'll think on it Ragnarr. And yes, Jordan has cancer.
17:09:48 Sep 16th 07 - Mr. Seloc: "The Curse of Chalion" is a great book by Lois McMaster Bujold, its a fantasy and may even be better than ragnarr's.
18:08:33 Sep 16th 07 - Mr. Soccermage: Wheel of time cant be topped! robert jordan needs to get better! we all should send him get well cards!
18:58:02 Sep 16th 07 - Mr. Seloc: The wheel of time got topped by my book!
19:16:07 Sep 16th 07 - Mr. Xiax: Yes! A Song of Ice and Fire is awesome! Though I believe Martin actually got better as the story went on, the plot was very engaging in A Feast for Crows. Though I hate how he's leaving us hanging to complete the story for the other characters.
20:31:00 Sep 16th 07 - Sir Fizban: Wheel of Time, as a series, lost me around Book 7-8 when the publisher wanted Jordan to lengthen the series. In the end what we got were several poorly written books. Also, has anyone noticed that Goodkind (from the Sword of Truth series) makes longer books than him in a matter of months and yet the story's alot better. Ah well, if it wasn't for Mat I wouldn't be reading Wheel of Time at all.
22:10:25 Sep 16th 07 - Mr. Xiax: Yeah, Mat's story is quite interesting. Goodkind is also getting sort of downhill but the story is still somewhat good, at least the characters stick together so you don't have to wait forever to get back to that character who was left in a tense situation.
22:21:14 Sep 16th 07 - Sir Ragnarr Stormguard:
Xiax, I totaly agree with you. Glad to know there are fans of Ice and Fire in VU.
22:53:16 Sep 16th 07 - Mr. Xiax: I'm surprised I found a fan of Ice and Fire, Martin doesn't seem to have gained much popularity.
23:54:27 Sep 16th 07 - Mr. Dakarius: If you liked the wheel of Time, you might also enjoy The Sword of Truth by Terry Goodkind. First book is Wizzards First Rule. I think I actualy prefer it to the wheel of time.
00:01:19 Sep 17th 07 - Duke Gaius Septim II: *Septim walks in with a SPAM cannon in one hand and a SPAM sword in the other. "Well now! LOOK WHO WASN'T INVITED!" *Septim shoots a random person
08:45:35 Sep 17th 07 - Mr. Seloc: *Seloc wasn't that random person.*
13:53:12 Sep 17th 07 - Mr. Rock Hard Reginald: Robert Jordan just died.
14:06:06 Sep 17th 07 - Mr. Leafblighter: Thought maybe you were just joking or spamming, but guess not. Here's an article from his blog, but it seems like there was high traffic, the site took a while to load.
15:24:46 Sep 17th 07 - Mr. Xiax: Wow... Reginald actually was the first to know here?
17:09:52 Sep 17th 07 - Mr. Seloc: Wow...unlucky guys I guess that book will never be finished now.
21:06:03 Sep 17th 07 - Mr. Lassie: *beep*, I used to read fantasy and this is the only serie I still want to finish, really sad.
03:18:20 Sep 18th 07 - Mr. Soccermage: agrees with lassie. the only book i still want to read.............. d@mn!
03:36:06 Sep 18th 07 - Mr. Erunion Telcontar: He had the plot and a basic script written out. It seems that he got a team of writers to fini*beep* for him before he died.
03:57:25 Sep 18th 07 - Mr. Leafblighter: Just from reading different sites about him it appears that the book will be finished. From the sounds of it he's told several of his friends and family how it was going to end. His wife was his editor, so I'm sure she knows how it's supposed to end also. It might not be written in exactly the same style as Jordan would have used, and might take a bit longer now, but I'm confident that they'll finish the series and will still be worth reading.
08:57:58 Sep 21st 07 - Mr. Seloc: lol I just noticed you know on books there are sometimes commented, well the book I was on about only has one and I thought it weird as it was such a good book. But I've just noticed the comment was Robert Jordans which would explain some things..... O yeh the comment was "Superb".
19:46:32 Sep 21st 07 - Lord Yerean: Anyone else loved how in the first few books Mat, Perrin and Rand
all thought of each other as good with women and they themselves
weren't? I thought that was hilarious.
22:07:22 Sep 21st 07 - Mr. Dunkadunk: Bah, Bernard Cornwell's Warlord cronicles and Grail quest series are the best series of books ever made,
