17:33:48 Aug 20th 13 - Polydeuces (Konig Polydeuces): I've recently started playing AoE 2. I've made a custom scenario, 4 way free for all. The three computers aren't really doing anything. I continuously scout their areas and the most they had built even after a half hour were a few homes and a mill. I've started each player with 6 villagers, a town center and a house. I play it on 4/5 difficulty, and I don't understand why the computers won't really do anything. Is there anyone that knows how I can make them more aggressive?
17:38:04 Aug 20th 13 - Mr. Paperthickk: I do not play AoE 2. However I will assume it is something like Starcraft custom scenarios. After placing their units for them, you have to code each opponent to act.
17:55:06 Aug 20th 13 - Arkantos (Mr. Vivi): google knows everything lol
18:08:37 Aug 20th 13 - Polydeuces (Mr. Soulshaker): I tried using google, could only find shit about that situation for AoE3 and they aren't alike.
18:30:24 Aug 20th 13 - Sir Dark Side Ofthe Moon: Try this out:
18:44:00 Aug 20th 13 - Mr. Bad Bell Mate: what paper said
18:47:18 Aug 20th 13 - Polydeuces (Sir Valkyros XVII): Like using a trigger type deal? I mean, they build and have trained and sent a couple units to scout me but they never really advance throughout the ages or even bother trying to attack...
20:40:05 Aug 20th 13 - Tyr (Mr. Tyrminator): Ahhh good old age of empires 2 :)
23:27:59 Aug 20th 13 - Mr. Freely Bored: You should consider enhancing the difficulty settings and ensuring that the settings placed on your enemies pits them against you militarily instead of economically.
00:18:47 Aug 21st 13 - Polydeuces (Mr. The Real Valhalla): I can increase it by one, but according to that chart it won't change much... I tried giving everyone a barracks as well to start with, and they trained a few but still didn't advance in age and never attacked. I set them to enemy, and I tried to change the personality type to aggressive for each computer player but it just stays at "standard".
00:22:22 Aug 21st 13 - Ms. Alith: That sucks. I don't think I can help you.
01:19:42 Aug 21st 13 - Arkantos (Mr. Vivi): no one can "help" him lol
01:20:44 Aug 21st 13 - Polydeuces (Sir Valkyros XVII): Yeah it's too bad... I even tried making a trigger for them to advance to an age when they had accrued a certain amount of resources but it never worked lol.
02:30:11 Aug 21st 13 - Ms. Alith: I recall having so many issues with their systems.
03:37:50 Aug 21st 13 - Polydeuces (Konig Polydeuces): Haha, maybe... The game seems to play fine, but it's hard as hell lol I was playing on the hardest for a while but I just couldn't even barely defend myself.. so I went to moderate, and was too lax so I got overrun by higher tiered units because I couldn't get to the damn imperial age for some reason lol.
09:54:10 Aug 21st 13 - Mr. Borgius: Even the most difficult AoE2 setting is really easy to beat if you build quickly and attack them first.
10:13:37 Aug 21st 13 - Polydeuces (Mr. Soulshaker): Show off, lol
13:58:24 Aug 21st 13 - Tyr (Mr. Tyrminator): Or you just suck at AoE2 :P Its not that hard imo.
14:08:19 Aug 21st 13 - Binh (Mr. Binh The Watcher): My achievement in aoe II: survive the early period with no military troops. Only militia and towers. Afterward, build a Great wall of china with walls/gates and around 10-15 castles mixed in with hundreds of different towers behind the great wall. Hundreds or even thousands of troops meet their death at the sight of the wall :P Only those long range catapults manage to hurt it a bit. Until I sent out the cavalry :D
