We have no leverage over Russia(remember guys this isn't what really happened they were more polite). But honestly Georgia kinda deserved it for bombing civilians and killing 1000+ pezzies. Heck the South Ossetians were cheering on the Russians. But really it seems to perfect for the Russians... | ||||

Take into consideration that russia is like the 2nd/3rd powerfulest world power, can be very hot-headed, wants back its former-soviet owned countries and owns giant armies and nukes. Now russia has killed georgian troops, bombed its airbase IN its capital and is preparing for an invasion. They go through with it and the USA will be forced into the war due to the alliance which will then request help from either the U.K or the entire EU which will then cause russia to call on help from its fellow comunists in china which will cause japan to go on georgias side. India could go either but personly i think would most likely go on georgies side due to all the trade from the western world. Canada, Australia, South Africa and New Zealand would either stay out of the war or join on georgias side. Indonesia + Iran would potentially decide to join in on russias side, and in my oppinion it would be pretty much set for world war. IF this were to all happen then thered be a 50/50 chance of a nuke being launched with retaliation effects. The Georgia side of things would most likely start running short of furniture, plates, electronics and many other things due to not being on chinas side, russias side would start running short of silk and wine due to not being on indias + frenches side, and the war would eventually end cuz either everyone dies or runs out of furniture, silk, wine and the many other luxuries so therefore sign a peace treaty. | ||||

Georgia launched an offensive late Thursday to regain control over the separatist Georgian province, which has close ties to Russia. America still has the largest GDP, and buying power. Every economy goes through economic troubles or a recession every once in a while. I mean look at the 70's people could only buy gas on certain days, and that was when the cold war was in its peak. Anyways the only people to blame for the recession are the people. The people bought houses which they thought they could afford, I mean a lot of people did, and then the news started reporting gloom, and doom because of all the foreclosures. You can't blame a slowing economy on the president because the president may have a lot of power, but he doesn't control the market. Only about 230,000 troops are located in Iraq, and Pakistan. There are about 2,700,000 U.S. troops in the entire army not even 10% of troops are located in Iraq or Pakistan. One last thing the housing market is only bad in certain areas of the country, some places are actually doing much better.

| 21:21:25 Aug 12th 08 - Mr. Bloodlust: its true theres nearly always war at least somewhere but the problem in modern times is that the world as become so open and easy to access. It doesnt take much for one country to invade another which cud be on the other side of the world. And because of the open-ness, global trade and much more international involvment with eachother there are many many more STRONGER alliances, so if one country just happens to attack the other country which has alliance then more countries get involved calling on more alliances. So if it were to develope geogia would become geogia AND the USA, russia could become russia and china or russia, USA will call on the EU, iran will join russia etc. And eventually half the planet could be involved. And coz all the nuke on both sides the war would either have to end with a peace treaty or someone getting blown to bits calling for retaliation. | ||||
