Gildorneth was not always the High and Honorable leader of Mortordom, when he was born in the city of Pehst his family was not highly stationed, his mother was a housewife and his father a soldier in the household guard of the local ruler.

Gildorneth was destined to follow in his father's foot steps and began training in the barracks when he was a small boy.

When he grew to manhood he joined the Royal Guards and quickly rose to the rank of Captain; leading a company in what had become his Father's regiment of the house guard. In service to Pehst he achieved several minor victories over neighboring warlords earning adoration and respect from his company.

On the day the new princess was to be coronated to throne after her father's death however everything changed for Gildorneth and the citizens of Pehst.

A rival warlord had gained many allies and attacked Pehst in the middle of the Coronation overwhelming most of Pehsts defenders and citizens in only an hour and a half of battle.

Gildorneth's father faught a holding action while Gildorneth and the Princess Alonda along with the survivors of the Gildorneth's company and Alondra's court fled the city of Pehst only to learn later of it's destruction by their enemies and the death's of all those who had remained.

Months passed before Gildorneth and Alonda fell in love and wed, leading the belaggered survivors of Pehst to a new founding site where they created the city of Mortordom.

Now the new Rulers proudly cultivate their city and it's people, making allies as they can and fighting off rivals as they must and protecting their two sons and their daughter in spite of all else.
