Ms. Catherine
Lived in Era 13, got 0 heir(s) and was a member of The Law of Equivilant Exchange
When or where Catherine Lobar came from is a fact known by few. The first official records of her life come from 1274 AE when an elven woman, leading a small group of elven archers, entered the north-eastern borders of Salisa seeking refuge. Shortly after the customs records reached the capitol, reports came in that a village in the north had been destroyed in a blinding flash of light, and that there were no survivors. There are no records of the mysterious elven woman after that until 1322 AE, when a woman using the name entered the capitol alone with nothing but a ragged dress and a crude knife. She stayed for five years, during which time she made a small fortune in the underworld. Some members of the guard believe she is connected with the assassin Ladyclaw, but not enough evidence was gained for an arrest. Several priests at the temple of Diya, a minor goddess from the older eras, also reported a woman close to the description of Catherine frequenting the temple and leaving generous donations. On the night that Catherine Lobar left the city, however, the dagger Kathka, one of six relic weapons from the time of Erio, disappeared from the royal vaults. Nothing has been heard of Catherine in Salisa since then, and the dagger is still missing.
Upon reaching the world of Mantrax, Catherine established the city of Vallost and sent messengers to each of the nearby rulers. Viceroy Tidus of the Metal kingdom responded to her greetings and a new friendship was formed. Word soon reached Vallost that a powerful archmage in a nearby world was summoning the power to unmake the worlds, but Catherine resolved to prosper and go down with the world in strength rather than cowardice. As the end of the era approached, a murderous horde of orcs appeared in the south and stormed the citadels of Tidus. Catherine ordered the troops into action to defend Vallost, but the orcs sensed power awakening and left to find easier prey. The final days of Vallost were spent in peace, but as the winds of armageddon swept the lands, Catherine herself left the world of Mantrax again with a group of hand-picked archers to wander again to other worlds unknown.
