Somehow i fail to see where you replied to a rather simple question. Not that i expected you to, god forbid, but why do you even bother posting when we all know that you have nothing left to say. | ||||
We talked about it last night, all of us online last night, and others who came on later agreed with everything Deno said in this thread. Maybe it isn't whats best for FEAR in the extreme short term, but in the long term, at least our morals are intact. | ||||

In that game the city elves are more like slaves, but the elves you meet in game, where there's werewolves.... forget the actual name of them, no where near slaves.... don't know what Code Geass is, though... | ||||
Better to be a slave than to be Quiet One, the female version of Sauron, who tries so hard, yet fails so epically. Even Golum, blessed his precious miserable, pathetic loser of a soul, was able to bring down a being supposedly as mighty as Sauron. Now the female version will meet her demise at the hands the very slaves she claims to have mastery over. :P | ||||
Doomhammer you said where in any game were they EVER slaves of man and well they are in that instance so I WIN! >=) Code Geass is a japanese anime :P You'll find the japanese use elves as slaves more often then not in their writing. | ||||
Fine, you were right, there's one half example where you are correct. However, in the 99.9% of other examples, I'm right..... guess I just worded things wrong... :P | ||||
The city elves are not exactly slaves, more like 2nd rate citizens with very limited rights:P And the wild elves are the Dalish. | ||||

Here is Fant from a GOTF player who doesn't get in many flame wars. We started up in the top Corner. I was screwed Early on with having a mission trip like right OOP, so I was 4 days behind everyone else. As I returned, I saw that everyone was warring MAD. I had lost my only mine Being an Elf, it was hard placed to find a spot that wasn't penalized for not being troll like everyone else. There was no space in Fant to grow, so our peeps went south into ROC land. We did NAP ROC after a brief conflict over borders. At the time, it appeared ROC and MAD were going to be squashed by the advances of FEAR and FATE towards us. As stated, we had no space, so we moved south, as far as we could so that everyone could get a mine or two. This left us too spread out with no room or sustainable income, except for a few players. A Trip to our production page would show some lackluster incomes. Early Era cooperation was in Shambles, and it seemed that there was no organization. I sense we will be cutting about a third of the players. I can't speak on behalf of the leaders, but I would cut about 1/3 of the KD next Era. Some people worked really hard. What sucked for me is as an Elf, I was used to getting up to at least 9, usually 10 Magic, but now its impossible to do if involved in a war, especially with negatively affected income. I went probably 300 ticks before I gave up trying to reach level 9 magic and caved into military and subsequently mining. At this time, Fear was at our gates. We fought(as in about 10 of us) to defend, but eventually Fear broke though. We fell back, and fought for a few more days, but again fear has broken through. We are basically trapped between the North Border, West Border, and Fate, with Fear at our south. I will not say that I am satisfied with GOTF this Era. A bigger map would have deffinately helped. A longer Era would have too, and so would alot of other things, but from what we had to work with, I suppose we managed ok. To be Frank, we weren't set up near well enough to deal with fear. That may be from too many players that we didn't need, MAD and ROC being nearbye, or simply bad management. Whatever it is, most of us were handicapped one way or another. I dont know much about what is going on with Hema or anyone else. It would have been cool for a coalition to attack Fear, sort of like all the weaklings uniting to face the strong, but that wont happen. Props to Fear for playing the game better, be it through 'diplomacy' or management. Alot of factors were against me personally, but I've nothing against fear. As for Fate, Can't really complain, they haven't bowled over us, thats for sure. I dont know who they are warring, but it isn't us, so I am satisfied to that extent. Basically that is an unbaised report from a GOTF player. Take it as you will. | ||||

That is a accurate summary I would say, I was one of the few who got a 1 mill + income in the whole kd, and that was because I got lucky with only trolls next to my cities, even if I had to go about 20 ticks from my spawn point to find a spot for my first city. The corner was way to crowded for a 30 player kd. | ||||

No I'm not Nova. Mad is nearly out and so is RoC. GotF are in trouble against FEAR - even though it looks like GotF have no other enemies (your kingdom doesn't attack them, so you probably have a deal). Besides FEAR is only going to be stronger and stronger now after taking their share of RoC. It can't be long before FATE and FEAR only have History and HM to deal with..... But ok, considering the traveltime for your armies, then I'll raise the 3 days to 5. Giving you only 12 days for farming. This still make me sad :( | ||||
Nice summary Theo. And yes some of us did get squished be fear early on hehe. Though ery n jd lived up to and went beyond everyones expectations. | ||||
What went on the other side of Fant? We aren't squished yet, and they've got several million troops to go through before we are out, so I think we can last the Era | ||||
