Instead we were naive and focused on the overall victory and not the individual win. In my opinion, our fault for not letting one player take every one of the FF cities and letting DB steal the win by giving Gumpyoldbastard the PKS cities.
00:12:33 Feb 3rd 08 - Mr. Legend: First, I am not lenard. I have actually only played 4 eras of VU now. Last era I was #1 troll. Second, I will explain my situation. Alright let me clear things up....I was in the lead the whole time with more armies than any single person 95% of the time. By the end i had more than 25% armies than any1. I noticed grumpy took 5th, then second, then passed me, which seemed unbelievable because i knew my income was higher than any person and that i had been straight training for hundreds of ticks. I knew he had been fed. Grumpy and I were switching on and off for first for a few days until he stayed there even after a ghost warrior had been cast for me. Now, at this time I knew for certain he had been fed. On the last day condinho gave his cities to me. He is tired of this game and really doesn't care. Finwe had nothing to do with this it was merely an agreement between condinho and I not wanting to see an undeserved win. So, If you want the person who got fed the most, Grumpy is definitely the winner there. If you want the person who clearly had the most armies and used them the entire time and still had the most points, I am the winner there. Its that simple. Third, When it comes down to it...how many armies did grumpy have ever on the hoh? I had the number one army the entire time, it just may not have been combined but it was on the hoh. At the end I had 3 hoh armies and grumpy had how many? ever? No big deal he had twice as much land as me and clearly planned his farming/feeding era win. Fourth-No1 can say i farmed too much, which seems to be a good thing to most people. Fifth-There's always next era, good luck to all and please try to stay honorable. Dwarves and their cavers are always going to be at the top. Blame the system: not those that know how to use it. DB did not do anything illegal. Next era come for us with guns blazing, and use every legal tool in the game to beat us. We are looking forward to the fight, and hope to both learn form the experience and earn your respect. :p

You assumed you had the highest income, you Assumed you had the most armies and you were convinced that you are dominating in your (now blatantly obvious) streak of arrogance. Now i will correct you. First of all, i can imagine you having a boatload of troops on the field, very nice for you, i had several boatloads of troops in our blockers, i was just not as flamboyant about it as you were. We were trading places on the HoH but we traded it due to me losing beeploads of troops on a neverending quest to bruteforce a cursed wall (grrrrr, Jonathan how much i cursed you and our mages!) and not paying attention to my HoH spot (buying up all resources from KD mates i could see to channel some of my income into their hands as some were away over holidays etc). And if Osi wouldn't display such annoyingly LGCish attitude in taking colonies that weren't yours to take i would keep not paying attention as frankly, i really didn't care about your craving to "dominate". That changed there and then. And voila, me being an old experienced hoe i did all that was needed to overtake you for good, i had the network to do it and trust me, my income matched the network (your assumption about being biggest and baddest was only that - an assumption). Now, i know you guys need something to cling on to and you are gonna cry about feeding till the end of existence, and i'm probably expected to care about it but to answer Lewatha at this point: Yes girl, i'm well aware of what i did, and if i didn't have then Legend would have only missed the HoH spot by a million. Would that make you any happier? I sincerely doubt so. So go on with your whining and crying, all you do with it is make yourself look silly :) Legend you obviously can't accept being beaten at your own game, but you still get gratz from me, as you did good. My armies were out of blockers more than anyone else in the kingdom, due to the fact that it was possible for me with my income. Like Sloth said, we could hae easily fed any single person to the hoh spot by simply letting them overtake FF. Congrats you took over PKS after the entire era. I'm glad u were also leading merges with scouts while I was leading merges with hundreds of thousands of axes, good job. That is a huge accomplishment lol....

We don't let our enemies farm all era then take their mines in the last week. Admittedly, it worked very well for DB, using Legacy and Carnage as shields while their personal mining factory (PKS) built lots of nice 90ks for them. Maybe we should take note for next era?

I would just like to say first of all Osi and Sloth for you two whining on about us fighting pks i remember you not so long ago spending most of the era fighting them as well so you're hardly in a position to flame PKS. They did a great job and we did struggle the first half of the era with half the kingdom being inactive and the entire era without our mages. We lost several people this era and I did wait until the last few days to kick them, but that was well after Raist was trading top spot with Legend all on his own, I know he's been out of the game a while but his whoring capabilities are well....wtf...it's Raist :P iconic is the word maybe? hehe If you want to call that feeding that is well within your right to do so but we have never kicked anyone out of the kingdom just to secure a score and I didnt start now- the people we removed were already gone. Did raist get most of those towns yes, probably so, did it secure his win? I dont think so but I am also aware you did have ppl feeding legend their towns so that's hardly something to flame us for Anyway our activity and warring did pick up the final part of the era and we had just started to tangle a bit with Phi, Zeon and Bow when the era was ending- I am not going to make any excuses for that tho this was a holiday era but if you want to flame us that is fine we know we fought hard this era and that is enough for us. I congratulate everyone on the top 10 and all the kds that lasted on fantasia the list seems to get smaller every era..... And to Abydos it's fine if you want to war us I expected you to regardless of the era outcome and we'll see you next era...

10:32:22 Feb 3rd 08 - Mr. Gothrim: It is very clear to me that in future HoH top-player "victories" in Fantasia will be all about massive team-effort farmathons complete with town-feeding, era-long farming, pre-game decisions about who each kingdom's "candidate" will be, and so on. Legend did everything right as an exceptional player who was also an active war-fighter and merge leader and who also gained a noted boost from the early conquest of some good Music mines, but otherwise Abydos made no special arrangements for him until the last two days when it was already too late. He carried on leading huge merges against Legacy till just a few days before the end--the troop maintenance costs must have been fantastic since even mine exceeded 10 million/tick. He deserved the era victory, but being deserving of it is clearly not enough. Warriors no longer win. Next era Music will be on Mantrax and will be gaining at least 1 player from Legacy and 1 from Abydos. The player from Abydos will be me. Bye for now. :)
