The fact is we failed to be very effective OOP this era but I think any smart man knows that no kingdom is defined by a single era. I have been with Carnage and infact VU for only about 6 eras so by most of your standards I am a Nub, *beep* or whatever derogatory term you choose to use but this era is hardly indicative of what Carnage can do. In my short time we have fought OOP agianst Legacy for 2 weeks before we called a CF so both kingdoms could concentrate on other threats. Legacy are the best, most organised kingdom in VU so spawning next to them is never easy.. :-) I think we held our own rather well and in doing proved we can fight OOP.

If I'm being honest I have to admit that last era and this era were by far the worst eras Carnage has had since I have been playing. WE have a small core of fairly active good players but like most of you kingdoms we also have a fairly large inactive group. Now some of you will say 'get rid of them and recruit others' but the problem is that a lot of us have been in Carnage a lot longer than me and have formed good friendships. So on the chance that these guys will come back an be fully active we keep them around. I'm sure you all do that to a degree. Unfortunately this hamstrings us to a certain extent and just serves as flamebait.

The best analogy I can come up with is a sporting team. A good teams season can be defined by the injuries it sustains during the season. Well we had 4 members that havent even spawned yet. Including 3 of the most important members of our kingdom. As well as over half our guys and gals that log on once a day for a couple of ticks if at all. IN a no wall environment that spells trouble.

I dont want to take anything away from DB because despite the few compulsive flamers that hate us I have found them to be a good bunch of blokes and damn good players of VU. Trio of course had a hand in our demise so well done to them as well and goodluck against Legacy. Between the 2 of you we got our *beep*s well and truly handed to us...lol.

I have no doubt we will bounce back and hopefully give you guys a better fight next time. Good luck to all.

PS.-The size of this post will scare alot of you off but I hope someone reads it and at least can concede some of the points I tried to make.

I didnt see many attacks OOP besides my town sitting pretty much inside the DB core...but luckily I managed to get everyone out and ran like hell for pretty much a RL day.....seems thats been happening a lot.....havnt seen much action since then....sure is wide open and that space really makes money =D

Well obviously not ALL of Carnage are retarted... That was a very well writen post Dalakticon. I enjoyed reading it : )

I think it's pretty good the way Carnage have been so graceful about this, it certainly increases their PR :)

I agree with Clamps, we weren't exactly a sledge hammer to the face, more like an annoying splinter in your finger :)

Still, we did well though and so did all of you.

I think it's good you care about your member more than you care about winning, instead of just booting all the inactive people and replacing them :)

Friendship to me is worth more than any consistent spot on the HoH.

I think you've got faffy mixed up somehow Thunder, last time I checked he was in a different "dark" Kingdom.

As for the war at hand, not much to say really. Carnage failed to repel the initial armies and was set on the defensive right OOP. Fighting in your own core is never easy, especially with semi-active players giving towns away.

Very well written Dalak. =)  As much as I HATE to admit it, we were defeated, hwoever we are springing back and we will bring the fight back once more.

Just to give you a small idea of what played a part in us not being capable of reacting as normal:

Did you guys face 4 kingdoms OOP, who happened to NAP eachother, every era for the last 5 eras with 21 semi active players?
