My reply was basically a retort directly back at Random, and to a certain extent, Deno. I just couldn't believe that they were willing to air such laundry in public. It seriously disappointed me because I put my damn neck on the line for Fate all the time with my kingdomates and co-leaders. If Fate has ill intentions towards us, my credibility and trust is questioned. I don't like it questioned especially when it concerns folks I consider my friends.

Dude, imagine yourself in my shoes. Then imagine seeing the first words Deno says to Wilberforce in your Skype NAP negotiations chat when he (Wilberforce) joins the chat: "Josh, let's fuck Fear up together". (yes, like Deno has transcripts of the Fear kingdom Skype chat, I have access to certain information myself.... though not from the sources one would expect).

You may claim that Deno has no leadership role in Fate, but if he can open his damn mouth in a negotiation of such importance, that means he is being allowed to speak for the kingdom.

I would have understood if Fate / DOA had entered into a NAP due to the circumstances of your landings.  I know that sometimes, circumstances out of our control leaves us no choices to make.

I however, seriously do not appreciate the further motives behind the NAP negotiations, and especially the way Deno was painting the whole arrangement. That was malicious intent at its clearest.

And if you do not want me to take cheap shots, muzzle your players first. Law of physics state: Every action has an equal and opposite reaction.

Don't take my words literally. I was very upset when I was reading Random's post.... especially the part where he said Fate was being used as Fear's meatshield.... I mean, wtf.... that was taking a piss at all the hours, days and energy I put into organizing my comrades to the front ASAP to help / support Fate. Taking a shot like that against Fear is equivalent to taking a shot at me. And you know me.... as far as I can, I do EVERYTHING I can to help an ally. That shot hurt from Random hurt, so some of the stuff I wrote down were made in the heat of the moment.

There are people who actually give a damn about helping out their allies. It is painful to see such intentions being questioned, or worst, being painted in a malicious manner....

For what its worth, Glads had my utmost respect and I thought of them as pound for pound one of the best kingdoms around. That was until they CFed there only war and joined the gangbang. Sorry guys but that was just bullshit.

I found that's more appropriate to answer to you, Tasty, here.

If I were to use your logic, I'd have lost my respect for your KD long time ago (after a series of NAPs, gross farming and so). However, I don't, because I know Fate is a conservative KD built of quality players, mostly.

I feel the need, though to post a short story so outsiders such yourself, Random would understand better Glads' affairs, before criticising our actions, just because they weren't favorable to their KD's policies.

First of all Glads played this era for Glads, and not for any big power out of the three (DOA, Feat or Fate).

We started some tough OOP against 2 KDs (40 members) - we wont but with medium casualties (armies lost and farming time lost).

By the end of the second week (when we were almost ended our OOP wars), you guys were almost 75% of our power (28 against 20) and Fear was still farming - DOA was lightly in front of Fear but still weak as they had 44 members against 32-33 of Fear's.

At that time - I though DOA will be dead by the half of the era if they are not helped, once Fear decides to attack. With DOA dead and us involved in another tough war (against RR and LUZL), it would have been just a matter of time until we would have been eaten by Fear - shall we fight RR and LUZL.

So our options were either fight LUZL and RR and die no matter what the outcome of the fight is (on Fear's hand) or fight Fear and thus you and try to balance the game.

To our surprise DOA refused our help and LUZL and RR started the war against MAP our NAP partner. So, even though we thought we enter the wrong war, we didnt want to let MAD die and entered the war against LUZL and RR.

They came after 1-2 weeks of farming and push our 3 advanced stronger players back until we lost all our gains against GOTF. Then we pushed them back to half way. Heavy loses on both sides - and power of our KD going down as a result.

In the mean time Fear crushing DOA, Fate gaining power. Should we have continued the war against RR and LUZL, Fear would have crushed the winner of our war. And of course, Fate would have taken the second position.

So we decided its best for all of us to stop the fight. As Luzl and RR were allied with DOA - they would have added their armies on the fronts against you quick enough and re-balance the fight.

We were too away from your battlefields we werent sure - if we will enter the war against you and Fear (but it was very likely). However, should DOA managed to push you and Fear back, we were prepared to attack DOA or you all.

It took enormous time to setup our attack due to distance, the fact that our armies were defensive (low lvl units - kept in core), our leaders (including myself become inactive due to RL issues) and because the peace with LUZL and RR didn't start that well (so we have to keep a reasonable high defense - for just in case).

However, the time was passing quick and when we were ready to attack, DOA was almost gone - so we entered against you and Fear (and later attacked DOA, too).

I doubt many would call this a 'gangbang'.

Hence we fight both DOA and you/Fear you can call us neutrals.

actually,  I think it was accidental we attacked fear.  We we debating what to do and someone clicked on a scout and attacked without permission.  the thing escalated and later the same happened with fate.  We ended the war with lulz / rr and kind of slipped into one with fear and fate.

as a member of fear i have had some fun this era but mostly i have taken alot of pleasure watching music and mad have their war that was interesting on times and a well fought war on both sides and they have not whined or bitched about each other(not that i have seen), that's were my respects have gone this era to warring members, and they also done this war as 2 KD's and not as many this is how wars should be fought done in the spirit of fun and not to win no matter what winning should be gained from fair play and who ever won the war with them (music/mad) took all the credit and not shared with 2-3 or more KD's

One stays away from the forums for an era and all hell breaks loose...

Era as seen from my perspective:

- land,see BF within our core boundaries and FATE right next to us, with FEAR behind them;

- NAP talks start with FATE as everyone i know were always gagging for a 1 on 1 with FEAR;

- Some people get emotional, ignore other people's better judgement and demand to war FATE regardless of the situation/opportunity;

- Things go pew-pew;

- Things go even further pew-pew;

- Fear (as usually) naps any real threat to secure farming time (can't really say i blame them, OOP warring is idiotic with the way things work in VU);

- Fate manage to live long enough for Fear to come riding in and take over the battlefield, things start getting interresting (at this point a shoutout to Rox, that ownage was seriously a sweet move, the highlight of the era for me <3);

- We go back and forth and yadda yadda altho it gets pretty clear that with the insanely low level of activity in DoA things are gonna go very wrong very soon;

- Things actually go wrong;

- Core breached, door to door fighting starts, at this point one of our newbs makes a very bad mistake at a very very bad moment, resulting in the dwarven core being breached and its basically GG after that;

- I throw a hissy fit and go on a razing inactives spree, do some KD hopping to see what the fck everyone else is doing and the result of that is a real eye opener;

- Arma (allegedly);

- The end;

A weird era with the dynamics in the political sphere of VU being seriously upsie-downsie with a few pearls, Fear as usually takes advantage of their allies, DoAs "allies" as usually take advantage of DoA, everyone but Fate and Doa are VERY busy farming while going at great lengths to appear as if fighting. *yawn*

And then people had the gall to call me a farming, cheating, good-for-nothing scumbag. My my, at least when i go doing something, i do it right.

I have only one regret really, wish the era lasted for another week so Fear had time to reach Lulz and snack them up like the tasty dish they are.

I must also say, hats off to Dalak, Deno and Venomz. If you guys weren't there, maybe we could of had your whole core quickly and maybe we could of been more prepared for FEAR.
