Not sure what is the outcome Ice tried to get out of that personal attack? The one thing accomplished is putting the kingdom on target list this era and eras to come. I will make sure to look for Ice and his kingdom in future eras, so if the goal was to make enemies, you have them now. Sable: | ||||||

Revolution: Because this is what people are. There's no mods. They're no repercussions for anything anyone says or does except for how they're viewed by their peers. Most people lack any semblance of conflict resolution or deescalation skills, or, like in Ice's case, self control and at least half a brain to realize that personally attacking someone on a public forum inside a game really doesn't accomplish much other than make you look like a total jack wagon along with anyone who chooses to associate with you. | ||||||
Maybe he was still mad about Jasmina mouthing off about BC just because you and her had a small dkmisagreement about city placement. Which she was correct about. Not correct about mouthing off about the whole kd, but she was right about the disagreement. She's known to generally cause drama anyway, to my knowledge always have been. It's part of her charm 🤣 I just think he took it personally, because he was an OG BC player. I also somewhat take her bad talk about the kd as a whole personally, but I also didn't respond like he did. Forums are also like the faceless phenomena of road rage. People are quicker to take things personally and get extra mad at people when there aren't faves to see. So I don't really blame him, it's quite typical internet behavior. Wish it wasn't. | ||||||
Saying I left BC because I was accused of ruining other people's cities by settling a city (not a game mechanic, cities do not ruin cities around them) is bad mouthing a kingdom? Have I told lies about that situation? By the way, saying I am generally known to cause drama? That is a lie :D I am super nice person who does not cause drama. I only troll people here and there. I troll "the clan" because they are all great people and I joke with them. Even joined The Clan on one world. I troll Spartan about joining a larger kingdom when he said in private to me he wants a smaller one, its an inside joke from Discord. Where have you seen Clan calling me names, or Spartan calling me names? Causing drama would lead to insults and name calling, trolling does not lead to that. Everyone I troll know I troll them, and in this case Spartan did not get offended. | ||||||
This is why Discord exists, people. You can rant all you want there and just mildly comment here. Win-Win for both parties. | ||||||

Agreed Sable, your kingdom did react well and did not support the person that was in the wrong. But we as a community need to make sure people know that name calling and insults will not be tolerated. | ||||||

No that's not bad mouthing a kingdom, but what you said earlier in this thread was, and you did bad mouth the entire kingdom when you left. That is not all that you said. And you did it despite me being kind and saying you were welcome to play with us any time, and supposedly leaving for other reasons. It's all good though. Not all people are compatible with all groups. I've pretty much accepted that. | ||||||

Could you please let me know in what way did I bad mouth, and I am really being curious as I do not know of anything I said or did? I could be wrong. I have been looking for a kingdom in Fantasia for next era and I might have said maybe BC does not like me, and then leadership (not sure who) talked to me and said they have no issues and I said I don't have either. Lose almost all cities, then settle more cities, build them up with low building cost. Have your team return your cities... And now I am way ahead, more than I would have been if I did not lose cities. Its not a bad tactic. Next era enemies take my cities so I can build more. | ||||||
Sir Gimli Planin: You need your enemies to throw like I did. I could have bounced Elisa. Didn't since I had such a high percent I wasn't concerned. Forgot to MW my city, moved my troops into the city to save upkeep giving her the edge. Call it a parting gift. You and I disagreed about mechanics that used to be one way (afaik) but are no longer that way, I was disgruntled, having a bad time and argued the point more than I should have. You then said you were going to take the Era off, joined 7DS and fought us. We (Uther and I) also said you were welcome to rejoin but the primary issue (as it was before) was we use Discord as communication solely. | ||||||
Never said I was kicked out, I even wrote on Discord that I left by myself to not cause any more internal drama in the Kingdom. Wrote on Discord that I use every day, so using Discord is never a problem for me, I am just more active ingame (as I don't have Discord at work). That era I planned to not play but few days later SDS invited me and I joined very late start, but the era lasted for a very long time so I was able to contribute later on. Never said anything bad about the kingdom. I enjoyed my time in BC with the exception of that one incident that I left behind me, figured out pretty quickly you guys were all returning players that did not know about that game mechanic changed, so I have no hard feelings regarding that. Hence me asking to join next era. One bad apple does not make the whole tree bad. BC is a cool group of players. | ||||||
Yes Sable I was so annoyed I lost my main city over night, and I build towers there, but I did not want to get military science before I finish my mining, should have went with some military. When I went to sleep I did not expect to lose the city so quickly, I forgot those dwarf cities require so little time to prep. Need to catch up on my VU knowledge. | ||||||
Sir Gimli Planin: Nah, realistically going military first would have messed up your late game, which is the whole point of an orc core drop anyways, so that still would have been a win for me. I was playing very carefully early on EitSing everything and making calculated moves. Yall almost got me when I moved on Impulse but I was able to merge, force march, and merge again to make it back to Dor Ragul. I just threw at midnight the other night because I was tired and sleepy lol It's been a good fight so far and am excited to continue the era | ||||||

Just testing some game mechanics, wanted to check how 50% works, and some other stuff. Loads of people taking a holiday break so we will probably burn a lot of cities. We will return to full activity after NY when school starts. It will not be just Edi leaving, few more probably, but all will return to kingdom later. | ||||||

Lol dishonorable, your member is "taking a break" so instead of having them demo their stuff they leave and you take their econ to "test a rule". Meanwhile he abuses that 50% rule to run past our forward outpost where he's protected somehow by the 50% rule even though he's attacked me. Does the 50% rule not break for the whole KD when one member is attacked or is this a bug y'all using to your advantage by leaving the KD and "resetting" the 50% rule | ||||||
The Kingdom did not ask for a CF, I am the leader and I never asked for that. Continue the war :). By the way, this is a tactical war game, having someone drop land count and go tagless to be protected could be considered as a tactical move, same as using bonus turns and walking over a city after cw even if you rebuild the walls. Its a part of the game mechanic. Protection is there, and its up to players to determine how to use it. Not saying we are going to use it, but we are also not saying anything about your kingdom usage of bonus turns. | ||||||
One-sidedly quitting an active war and then trying to blame the other party is dishonourable. Why even take you seriously when you could randomly quit for whatever reason and you just publicly shit on others instead of actually communicating with anyone. | ||||||

If anyone has questions on how 50% rule works, just ask the people who have studied this game for years :) we know how almost all this works now. We know the “50% rule limits” follow this structure: * No attacks on armies or city takeover at 2X land * No city attacks or prep at all at 3X land * No magic attacks at all at 4X land As a rule of thumb, no one should be throwing an era for testing, that’s what myself and others do *lwhioe intentionally removed from an era’s play through. It’s grossly unfair to the entire map to feed people in an effort to “test things” while the beneficiaries are actively playing. Please, in the future, ping me for any testing items and leave the era to as clean of gameplay as can be had. I’ve worked through my backlog of test items, so can spawn in to new worlds if need be. | ||||||

Way to blow up sh1it out of proportion guys, I don't know why you're still on this, considering we're not even testing anything any more. We wanted to see if a member leaving will have 50% rule on us as well, which he did. So technically a spy could be in kingdom, decide to build little land, train an army over a long period of time. Leave the kingdom, go from city to city to determine what can be taken, leave army there and send another army elsewhere, you could keep prep and can't be bounced cause of the 50% rule. The ways this can be abused are extreme. If you could kill army prepping it could solve a lot of issues. By the way, the testing is over, and I have asked people to wreck cities taken. | ||||||
The argument is cities should never have been taken, but rather B&D’ed so there was no gain for the attacker. The fact yall didn’t do that is why this is being brought up, and rightfully so. Also, once again, this was all known :) just ask us next time, there was no reason for any of this. This isn’t the 2008 time period when knowledge was hoarded, we’re open to explaining all of it. We just can’t keep typing up 5000+ word essays cause no one reads that lol | ||||||
