he won't, his only pathetic army just got beaten... also he destroyed all of his cities so no peasants to build a new army.... he can probably build a new city, but the SD core was actually the only core that had undefended cities, Barny's gonna need days to rebuild that i think. you really shouldn't underestimate the people here in latha :o

Umm you realize he was talking about Mr. Evans right? But on that note you were speaking of, I razed one of my own cities (like a shitty 6k I had while in protection) because you had the #1 HoH army on Latha stationed on it for 40 ticks of my protection. I trained like 2500 archers OOP and plunder/razed 40k buildings, so it isn't like I lost anything of value yet. Just because I stopped attacking you for like 20 ticks to move my shitty armies into Rome's core doen't mean I'm dead yet ;)

Well for this time, I really have to agree with Evans. Cause lets think about it now, does Zeta change all the other updates which have wrecked the game this era? no. So why this one. I know evans doesnt "deserve" the era win, but cmmon u change your own update at the last moment ...now think if u were in evans spot...seriously? bad decisions by zeta ...yet again.

It's called closing the loop on game mechanics exploitation. A possible alternative would to be to change Halfers science costs and eliminate xp exploring. But since I'm playing mostly a defensive game this era - can't say that the change bothers me much :p

I dont argue against the change, but the timing of the change. This late in the era to introduce a significant change is just ridiculous.

I liken this era to constant motion or systematic chaos .. kind of fun kind of boring depending on my mood :)

Now I knwo you'll say this is jsut cus I was top, but look at other eras, youve never changed it so late before?
Surely its not my fault that i did was has been done for many eras past now, except this era it just happened to count towards final score?
Finally, why not just change it at the end of the era like you change everything else? |

even though that a few people may have based their gameplans on this formula, beforehand nobody had started long term plans but this time everyone had.... it lowered not jsut myself but at least 20 others i know off the highscores list.... sort of a major change...
Im no getting my hopes up youll change it back but im trying to make sure you realise this before doing it again.....
16 eras never in top 50 finishs, this era im top and formula gets changed... lovely :P |

Sad - I guess the ranking calculation will be similar with what was 2 eras ago.
Let's say an average player from FATE, RVL would have 300k buildings - and for one building let's assume VU admin gives 1 point.
Without armies the player will have 300,000 + 90,000,000,000 =90,000,300,000.;
Some who didn't have access to FANTA need to have 90 billion buildings outside of FANTA to equal this.
Or - the other way one with 1,000,000 buildings outside of FANTA (very few of them) will get a similar score as one with 1,000 buildings in FANTA. I guess - if the experience & vicories is taken out, atleast kills x kills should replace it.

It's easy to see which players deserve some credit for their tactics this era and everyone will have their oppinions.
I can think of atleast 6 players who I will view as the top players this era personally.

Why dont we just boycott the official scores this era and create a thread where the winner is decided by an honest, democratic vote based on peer oppinion?
That might not work...but the awards thread always means more to me than the official scores anyway.

i dont think it would work very well, cause no that i know of except the admin gat full view over the 9 connected worlds.
therefor people will just vote for the person they see doing the most or the person they know the best.
just look at the awards people deal out at the end of eras, and you will probly catch my drift.
dont think it would be any better then the actual era winning system we allready got. but a good suggestion though
