So when we wants to fight, we gotta beat ourselves up cause the rest of them... something is clearly wrong with them.

At its core, the point is to score higher than anyone else.

The puzzle is deciding when to invest in economics, when to invest in defense, when to invest in offense, and when to invest into other kingdoms diplomatically.

You can work completely to raise your score, work completely to lower your opponents' score, or some combination, aiming to end in annihilating the map or in timinf it right woth Armageddon.

You can decrease difficulty via MAPing many rulers( that is to say join the same kingdom) or NAPing many rulers (engaging in diplomacy with people outside your kingdom) or a combination.

You can increse difficulty greatly by MAPing fewer players (having a smaller KD or no KD) or by NAPing many players and warring more.

Players are all competing for the high score. MAPd playera (the same kd) get many benefits that can increase the speed at which they acquire that score and accelerate the speed at which they can lower others' scores.

Diplomacy exists within a kingdom as players overtly or covertly bluff at what their capabilities are so as to be in a better position to take more spoils of war, protect their own assets, or maximize sciencea at the clat of their MAP partner.

At the end of the day, people play differently and at different difficulty levels. I went to a smaller kingdom because I felt confident in my abilities to compete. Not everyone is comfortable woth a higher difficulty and that is OK because games are meant to be fun.

I don't think Collectives gains over Ferox had anything to do with farming. My army was far bigger and better than any of theirs. The real difference came down to Magic. We underestimated Collectives Magic power and they were able to get into a position where we could not remove them from our core. They used some BT's to take out our mage and it was game over.
