I've only ever been a vice until this Era, on any server. And maybe I am a drama king. I was making a proposal that wpuld remedy the boredom, but a proposal requires agreement before it becomes ennacted. There is nothing wrong with making a proposal. Everyone is bored. And that is a problem every one should work to solve. You propose we do nothing. Any other proposals?
We can wait around living a safe and mundane life until a wizard shows up and takes us on an adventure.
The problem is he only arrives precisely when he means to :(
The original proposal is requiring a new era. Otherwise, every negotiation you have made has caused a stir within your own alliance plus others outside. Make new deals next era Dragon. It is probably the best bet. Let things roll as it is.
(Character is Bigfield, not Dragon ) Hammer and Shield is always open for negotiations and renegotiations. At this juncture we simply would like to reaolve the issue of everyone complaining about boredom. Do you value placing higher on the leaderboard than you do on having meaningful ingame activity? That is the gist of this doscussio. I want to what everypne tangibly values more. We wouldn't end an agreement unless it was mutual. And we wouldnt have proposed any changes had the season of nothingness not set in with Zetas absence. In general, we want to promote fun. We believe seasons ofnothingness are antithetical to this. If no one is at war, we have no customers. We believe role play is fun. We woild rather fulfil a niche merchant role (most of us ) than be warlords. This particular era we receuited many players who joined solely to go to war with The Titans. That was a product of this era more so than a goal of our kingdom. I am not an aggressive leader or player. I wouldn't undo a deal without all parties consenting. I made peace with the understanding that several people were nearing Armageddon. This doesnt yet seem to be the case. There are also membera and other kingdoms chasing down abandoned cities and kdless players. My kingdom matea (most ) are twoddling thumbs. We want the era over. Next era and herin we look to be more in line with our roles.
Here are the values of a "merchant": 1) Starting, in the middle and the end of War is always profitable, at least if you are on the winning side of it. And i must say, you were on the winning side of it. So what i don't get is why make a contract in the middle of a war based on solely of "achieving peace", which i might add, is not typically what a merchant is seeking for. Land is always profitable, especially when ones income increases dramatically making them an effective force to be against. Again, you stopped it by making a contract to cease and desist. Most of the members flipped and now you want to war them again. Essentially your "values" as a merchant is flawed. 2) Once make a contract, generally you honor that contract with your life. First, Ajax and Bigfield made an agreement, in that ending of the contract, you made sure that The Titans be paid in full of compensation by Ajax's and Poly's mistakes and started with warring us. You made a contract with The Titans individually to everyone in The Titans (your contract essentially made for individuals and not as a whole), initially if they dissolve and recreate a new kingdom, they will be free of all war from Hammer and Shield. But once again, you start talking about warring with every kingdom now. That in stead, dishonors entirely upon as a "merchant" incapable of holding ones own contract. 3) Yes, attacks and such goes behind the scenes when making agreements, but if no one knows about it. Unfortunately, this isn't possible for you. Once we know attacks are made, talks are often left the board. 4) Most merchants value quantity of quality than quantity of little. So more land, much more quantity of quality than having peace of having their own quantity of little. Refer to #1. 5) Also, if you're attempting to play a "merchant" role, better make sure you write down your own "rules" as a merchant, because honestly, you might forget your own agreements and have to look back on what it is allowed or not. TBH, i dont really score high in the HoH. As long as the alliance is on the winning side, i am content with what i get. I am a soldier, not a diplomat or a politician. But nonetheless, i don't mind speaking up when i have to.
1) We didn't start any war. Titans and KoH did. We made a peace contract so the era would end asap and people could cast Armageddon. The goal is a new era, casting Arma gets there. Peace gets us to arma. Too much land is pricey to maintain and pricier to specialize and tedious to defend. I don't want to war any kingdom. I want the era to end. If annihilation gets there faster, and all parties agree, then why prolong an unfun era? 2) Contracts typically have a term, be it a day, a week, two weeks, and on few cases, all era. Leaders have the right to put these lengths of time into a contract and there is nothing dishonorable if the leaders agree. We arent declaring war or attacking From the Ashes. We are asking if everyone is bored, and if they want to fight, then we havr the option to pick a time and do it, but again, only if the kingdoms agree. It is all based on agreementa and mutual decisions. 3) See number 2. We arent attacking anyone. We were aaking if other bored playera wanted something to pass the time with. 4) You are a warrior. Not a diplomat, and not an economist. Many players enjoy farming and enjoying playing other roles than destrpyer and conquerer. 5) moving forward HnS wont be making any decisions without at least 24 hours of discussion among our kingdom on any counter offer. This was my biggeat failure.
OMG! | ||||
Pretty sure since I wasnt able to vote again, its going by the old count from the first arma (and I cant change my "No" to a "yes")
looks like the same numbers from the original Arma when it was casted because i didn't get an option to pick the second time it seems.
I did not get option to vote either
No option for me. | ||||
Me either. Countdown then? Scout art contest?
First KD to spell their abbreviated title wins? Haha
This "peace" is as nerve wracking as a full blown war lol.
Just 173 more days... just 173 more days...
172 more days... 172 more days -_____-
Im on vacation but it looks like I missed something. Did the Titans want to finish the Era at war?
Yes, you missed Lovechild's funeral.
Ahhhh, if it wasn't a breaking of am agreement you could gloat....
So as far as i | ||||
I'll speak for myself, not H&S on this act. I'll admit I just got bored, 20 ticks left i figured ah what the heck, I understand it wasn't the proper move. But It's the one I made. And chade im fine with that, win or lose every era at least I'm guaranteed a fight.
cool mate :) no hard feelings, imma give you love even when fighting you ;) I also hate to be bored and prefer action, like you, win or lose. But my sense of honor, it seems is slightly higher than yours.
Well I will legitimately take your advice. You're right, I'll admit I did not take my actions into the consideration of the KD. I do look forward to our future battles.
H&S need to kick this guy otherwise their just as dishonourable for letting him do it.
Nerdmuscle has been demoted and is up for a formal performance review by our Board. Until further notice he is no longer in a position of leadership within our Company. On behalf of H&S, we apologize sincerely, and for the duration of this era we will notlook?poorly?upon any retaliation from koH in reaponse to these aggressions.
