yay 200th post and Once the era end no one will win | ||||
dis thread r funny o.O | ||||
first, jester does not riverjump. we have a rep to uphold (at least, we pretend we do ;) second, we are not allied to anyone.peace is not an alliance. we are fighting falcons, carnage, and mirror in the north. we are just glad zeon and aby got involved. i have not even messaged aby to send armies. i just recently talked to zeon about it. third, we have phi in the far south. just thought that should prove we are not allied. aby and zeon have NAPs with phi, if we were in that alliance we would have that too. yet, we fight instead. now, lets see how it turns out. who can withstand the pressure all around? | ||||

Uhmmm....ok.....but how did barny, a jester player, wind up with a wall in our southern area behind our closed blockers earlier this week? Just curious.....^^ | ||||
Eleutherios, yes we were aware that it was possible to attack over the river, even if those armies prepping on it where a whole tick away and on the other side of river, which from a visual aspect seems impossible to me, obviously there is something *beep*ed up in that area with that now, no existant city.
yes we had troops stationed there to defend against those small threats while we waited for someone to come and raze that city for us. as such when that army got close our troops evacuated the city. sadly the person who was going to raze it for us went offline. and with no defence in said city, and over 4,000 nazguls prepping on it, it was obvious you was going to get in.
to be honest i enjoyed it once you did brake in, by attacking over the river, it gave us something exciting to do. spiced it up a bit. and i thank you for that, even if it has disrupted our plans. thats what the game is about though, dealing with situations that crop up.
anyway we have ample forces to wipe out those precious nazguls, i just hope we can get our troops merged and ready to take them down, before you riverjump back to the safety of your own side of the river, which from the looks of things is what you guys are planning.

Sort of...you were obviously going to attack us and we did have to prepare defenses in the area....obviously it wasn't good enough as some of the blockers were really far from our main area....but, we still did send troops ;) | ||||
OMG 10 hours old?! How pathetic Jester trying to use that war as an excuse. Also about your reputation......can you explain to me how only two, yes TWO, Carnage players have wrecked complete Havoc against Jesters? I won't go into complete details (don't want to embarrase Jester too much). | ||||
No idea what that has to do with our reputation....I think we're quite honorable..?? And, if you read the post, the Phi thing is not an excuse for us for whatever you think we're trying to excuse....Soccer's just saying that to point out we're not allied with anyone. And yea, we did get owned by you two XD | ||||

Party pooper, he's a party pooper, fine, I'll put something! Carnage attacked my kd in the beginning of the Era, we had the misfortune of being next-door to their core, they wiped us out as soon as we were OOP, so I think Jester should win because of that, but Carnage members have great senses of humors (Unlike Razios, the party pooper) and that it was strictly business, we were next door, so they took us out. So personally I really don't care who wins or loses, I'm far away now... | ||||

phi is not an excuse. i have not come here to complain in any sense. i stated facts, and that's that. carnage has done well, a few players slipped armies in, and burned some cities. we still have to work out our defense for sure. although the phi war has taken a good amount away from carnage. the past 3-4 days have been spent building up for it. it was inevitable, our talks were not going anywhere. now, we have 3 kingdoms to fight in the northwest, and one in the southeast. that is what is going on. no complaints, its just the way the cookie crumbles. its part placement, part diplomacy, part lousy defense, and prolly other things mixed up as well :) we will fight them all, and we may die. its just what happens. anyway, jester is used to losing to phi, why change our habits ;) | ||||

And Echion, though not at Jester, and it's hardly pwning. 2 of 3 of these players mentioned above riverjumped. Sad thing is, they have real armies approaching normal blocker cities. But there's nothing like jumping the gun, eh? | ||||

lol alot of talks for nothing..from what i remember city attacking from the other river-side was mentioned in the guide by zeta as a warning and that was not considdered a bug.. army merging on the other hand it's arguable and widly considdered a bug(see bug list made by zeta) and Persephone..when did u saw last time Abydos riverjumping?I remember when u were with us and we did tried it then to see how it works(after all u have to know what the enemy can and canot do in order to be prepared:D)but i dont remember using it to move troops behind the front line and to get the advantage needed to win a war.. And i dont agre with Osi's statement that cose of Carnage riverjumping we'll use every trick to win..We'll wont use any trick and we dont need to use any cose we can handle a war without tricks! Let's meet on the battlefield and lets end this endless pointless flame..There's no unballanced side..Jesters wont count in the war with Carnage cose they have their own with Red Hand,Mirror and now PHI it seems and our Ally Zeon will be kept away bu PKS and the Carnage armies that are in the east..so It's gonna be Abydos vs Carnage+mirror it seems and after all Carnage is the biggest kd in the realm:P For some time we didnt had a World War like this:)) And who mentioned PHI in this thread?I see they just waited that to have a reason to flame..they were missing the attention lately:))...so now this thread is doomed!...not that it wasnt before:P | ||||

<Acheron and Enyalius, it seems.> Damn, faulty info again. The two carnage players referenced to are actually enyalius and myself. And we currently have troops in the far south of the map. And i personally have not used any riverjumping to get there either....
@Dark Orion: Well, I seriously doubt the war will be as clearly defined as you make it out to be. Maybe for your side, but just because we are fighting you doesnt mean everyone else will leave us alone, even though that would be nice. And you can honestly say, 100% assurance, that Abydos, in its history, has never used any form of river jumping or attacking cities on the other side of a river (which we did)? If so then i am impressed, but imo seriously doubt. As i mentioned previously, I have witnessed most kingdoms on Fant using these tactics at one point or another in many eras past, regardless of whether it was a case of "they did it to us first"....and my memories back then dont quite match yours because i remember differently but will not continue this debate because it will only result in denials or further flames so who cares? Its just a game people.....

I have been in abydos for 3 era's now. And I can honestly say that no-one has ever abused a bug, without getting kicked. | ||||
ummm Finwe, just to point something out, river jumping is bad but attacking from the other side of it isn't. its in the question and answer forums-->FAQ Q: When you build a city beside a river, when the city expands can you make it so that the city is on both side of the river? this was posted by VU Admin. i just wanted to clarify that | ||||

Good job on not using riverjumping, and I can respect you as a player better than I can the kd of Carnage as a whole. Zeta has that in the FAQ, I'm guessing, because he doesn't know how to stop riverjumping himself. Can you explain the logical real-world rational behind leaping across a river to attack a city? Or using scouts to shuttle troops over a river? | ||||
