I have some sad news to announce.
While Beothuk may have won the battles, Legacy has ultimately won the war.
The Beothuk leadership, led by Jill, Paramount Leader, have decided to disband Beothuk at the end of this era.
There were numerous reasons for the decision, Key among them were: i) Too many of the core team wanting to take a break for a couple of eras, ii) Beothuk has amply succeeded in the time it was on Fantasia and there are no goals or prizes left to achieve, iii) the game has gotten boring as hell for a lot of us.
This was a difficult decision to make. There were still about 10 or so players who wanted to continue playing in Fantasia. Unfortunately, to most of the current leadership, and especially Paramount Leader Jill, who IS Beothuk, this game has become more or a burden to play then a joy. As such, this decision to shelve Beothuk was the right thing to do.
Hopefully, after taking some time off, the spark and allure of this game will return to some (hopefully, most) of us. And when it does, if the timing is right, and if the core team is still up for it, Beothuk will return, and Jill will rule as Paramount Leader of Fantasia once again.
On my part, it was awesome to be able to play back with several old friends, and to make some new friends over my 3 eras (and 1 era break) in Beothuk. I was able to fulfill a wish to play with some players whom I never got the opportunity to be on the same team with but always wish I could (e.g. Crissxcross), I was able to play back with the first Fantasia level team that took me under their wing (Elements crew - Augh, Heroix, Mcikan, etc.), and I was able to beg, plead, coerce, blackmail or drag some of my old Buffet crew back into the game together (Dalak, Aussie, Tyler, Pope, Stormy, etc.). At the end of the day, once one has achieved everything there is to achieve in the game, when there is no more motivation or prize left to go for, when there are no new changes or surprises to look forward to, it is only the old friendships that continue to bind one on to the game.
Thanks Beothuk, for giving me a great time. Whatever the detractors and haters say, we fought well :)
P.S. With Beothuk's leaving, some kingdoms have no excuse... NO EXCUSE whatsoever to not be able to win Fantasia once again. You guys know who you are.... :P

traps! This game needs more than the run of the mill, train/attack/blah blah ...while farmers finish the era and act like the did soooo much to achieve it. the game need other elements introduced to keep up with things.... no updates anymore because it's been ABANDONED....

Hmmmm...... so with Beothuk gone next era, and some of the game's best players taking a break from Fantasia, who will dominate the next few eras of Fantasia gameplay?
Will Legacy return to its multiple era winning ways now that it has been able to outlast its strongest nemesis of the modern times in terms of staying power in the game?
Will Misfits take up Beothuk's mantle instead and become the new Dark Blood-after-break-with-Legacy? Will Fordius be the new Raistlin, stealing era wins from under Legacy's nose in dubious ways yet unknown? Will Swifty be the new Quiet One, engineering forum (and in game) disputes high and nigh with the mighty players of Legacy sitting in their ivory tower?
Will it be a 3 horse show next era onwards? Legacy vs Misfits vs rest of VU?
Or will the worst type of gameplay occur now that the Godzilla that is Beothuk is no longer here to put a stop to it? Will Legacy and Misfits team up to clear all Fantasia VU in 21 days, cast Arma, and then rinse and repeat for the next 10 eras? Thus driving out the rest of the playerbase out of competitive VU gameplay?
And will Binh finally come to the sense that, with him in Legacy, it is way too overpowered, has too high a concentration of top, active players, and he's actually one of the causes for the ongoing deterioration of the the game? Will he then split off from Legacy and form a kingdom of his own to take on the veterans? Another HIV (with the V meaning something else, not veterans :P)?
Stay tuned for developments after the end of this era folks. With the closing of the Beothuk chapter (for now?), a brand new era of Fantasia politics and gameplay dawns upon the rest of the world. I can't wait to log into Fantasia again in 2 months to see how things have gone :)

If LGC and misfits are united in some kind of world domination conspiracy why would they war oop this era and hand you the victory? They could have easily declared a CF and spanked you. Another question, beo could've changed their leadership, the majority of the players are not going inactive. So why make the decision to disband completly?

1. Congratulations Beothuk, for your 4th straight victory in a row, a feat only pulled off before by one other kingdom in the whole history of Fantasia.
2. Congratulations to Crissxcross, disbander of Dark Blood 1.0, from TBL, disbander of Legacy 1.0. First on HoH, first on Most Fearsome, first in the hearts of your comrades, and first to cause terror in the souls of your enemies.
3. Congratulations to all players from positions #2 to #23. You guys survived the era. Oh, you guys are all Beothuk / former Beothuk too. Awesome job chaps. Unprecedented achievement too.... don't see any other kingdom that pulled this off before.
4. Congrats to our enemies, especially Legacy, for giving us a tough fight in an era of no NAPs. Beothuk could never have won an era of completely zero NAPs without you guys playing a part (especially Legacy).
5. Special shout out to Warlock of Legacy, who, through throwing Beothuk the no NAP challenge, brought out the best in Beothuk. May he perform better next era without Beothuk around.

Don't be afraid of a Misfits/LGC conglomerate, since Ford has announced Misfits to be a No-NAP kingdom (quite a number of times actually)

Congrats to Crissxcross, you were the first to complete your 90k city! Therefore you get the award 'Most successful farmer' this era.
Congratulations BEO, you didn't want a challenge and got bored playing like a bunch of farming chickens.. as a result you all have to take a break cause you can't stand a 'no competition farm fest'' any more.
Congratulations to TBL for writing over 10.000 words that were totally meaningless. That is quite an achievement.

We got bored winning 4 times in a row. I mean, who cares what trash heads in the game want Beothuk to do? If we want to take our break, we're dang well going to take it regardless of what idiots say :D
And writing 10,000 words was easy. I mean, the subject matters were very easy - flaming Legacy and Wilberforce (and to a lesser extent, other less important kingdoms and players in the game). The words from my keyboard could flow like a waterfall when it came to tickling my favourite ribbing subjects :D
Enjoy your Legacy vs Misfits vs rest of VU situation next era *thumbs up*. Beothuk will be back.... some day... I guess.....
