Werewolf with Demonsul |
I'm hosting. And I'm gonna make it sci-fi themed for the hell of it. ___
Delta biological research facility, set amidst an asteroid belt, is hiring. Scientists from across the system gather, hoping to be chosen to join the science team. A rival lab, Icon, sends spies to steal cutting edge technology. A rigorous selection process begins to choose a marine to defend the small facility from pirates. The medical officer sets up with the security officer, waiting for the others to arrive.
And a sapient alien parasite and it's minions, genetically altered by the labs, awaits their opportunity. ___
Basically themed werewolf. Don't worry, I'll make it obvious which role is which. Sign up. I think we could survive a smaller game if necessary.

Werewolf and Mafia are practically the same game, I think. That might be where you heard it before.
|
yeah that sounds about right

Never give up! Never surrender!
|
Dammit fellas. If we get 10, I'll just go then. If not, I'm going to start some time tomorrow.
|
Alright, looks like we're stuck with what we got. I'll have to cut out some roles.
PLAYERS: Septim Charley Aureola Erunion Telcontar Ixil Mac Arvious The Inactive Patches Ohoulihan Silence
GOOD ROLES: Scientist (Villager) x2 Marine (Vigilante) Security Officer (Cop) Medical Officer (Doctor) Administrator (Governor - can prevent lynches - can't prevent two lynches for the same person)
EVIL ROLES: Cerebrate (Werewolf with cop immunity while spawns live, can also override other evil nightkill votes) Spawn (Werewolf) x2
---
The five new scientists arrived at the facility to begin their research. They dispersed throughout the facility to set up their stuff, to being research. It seemed that it was going well, when the research station's resident Security Officer set off the alarm. The hostile parasites that the lab was engineering had escaped! Leaving his post to inform the Administrator, the Security Officer failed to see the three parasites ambushing three of the five scientists, transforming them into killing machines - and then hiding it all within the host body. One of the parasites, the Cerebrate, started communicating with it's spawns, and giving them orders. They were to stay hidden until they outnumbered the living. A Marine, arriving at the research station as defensive personnel, noticed the alarms and decided to remain hidden among the scientists to see what they could discover. The Medical and Security officers, along with the Administrator, also decided to blend in with the science staff, at least until the parasites were - if they had found hosts - exterminated.

Send me a confirmation message to receive your role. EVERYONE NEEDS TO SEND ONE TO REMAIN IN THE GAME.
|
Remember, if you don't understand your role completely, just message me again asking what you do. I realize I wasn't really clear on all the role messages I have sent so far.
Still need two confirmations.
|
If Septim is one...he was banned from his computer for a month(Supposedly). :'(
|
So he won't be attending? Oh, it is sad day.
In that case, I've received all the confirmations I'm getting. Time to start this, although without Septim. :<
---
Word had reached everyone that three parasites had found hosts in three of the crew members. Everyone knew they needed to be careful; revealing who you were could lead to the parasites judging you a threat and slaughtering you. After a while, everyone met, seemingly by chance, in the canteen. Everyone, that is, except one of the new arrivals, Septim. Worried for his safety and suspicious of him being a parasite, they set out to find him. They found him in a research lab - or what was left of him. It seemed a fourth parasite, weaker than the others, had tried to infest him, and had died in the attempt. Unfortunately, the large hole in his chest the parasite had left him had killed Septim the Scientist as well. The station drifted on, spinning away from the sun. All of the non-essential systems shut down without solar power, leaving only the auxiliary generator powering life support and dim lights. Night had fallen on the station.

Charley sat in the canteen and thought over the situation. Barely life support...dim lights...crazy parasites wanting to kill everybody. Yeah, it wasn't looking to bright. "Well this sucks!" he grumbled.
|
Erunion sat in front of the bar, tossing back drinks. He wasn't one to drink, normally, but a good friend of his had already died, and it seemed likely that more would follow. Things did not look bright.
|
Aureola saw what had happened to his friend Septim it was a poor tragedy I may add. ''Well, who is puring drink here eh?'' Aureola asked. ''Well guys this seems like we are in a version of Doom The Movie but we dont have the equipment to detect whos who.''
|
Patches wheeled up to the window, looking out towards the asteroids. Something caught his attention....
A space worm? Yes, a space worm, he thought. He didn't know such a thing existed. Such a vast and wonderous place, this, space.
With that, he sneezed on the window, towards where the 'space worm' was. Wiping it off, the space worm disappeared too. "Blast, was just abit of dirt. I guess this place isn't as interesting as one hoped."
With that, he wheeled over to the bar. He looked around, wondering where the hookers were. "Erunion, wheres the women?" Erunion then told Patches about the parasites and what how Septim had died. "Oooooh, this could get interesting."
With that, Patches wheeled down to the medical bay to see if he could see any hawt nurse chicks.
|
*Mac sat in a corner that evening, Septim was gone, who would be next? Scanning from face to face he wondered where it was that he knew some of these people from*
|
"Well well, we're all in quite a pickle aren't we" muttered Silence audibly, but to no one in particular. Feeling nervous, he decided to make himself a drink and to retreat to a table by himself to think things over, and wonder if he'd make it through the night.
|
Arvious, after hearing everything, went back to reading his book. On the outside it read 'Quantum Distortion Entropy Mechanics.' On the inside, it was really a comic book. Oh, and he was drunk and stuff.
|
Upon his visiting the medical bay, no nurses were there.
He noticed one of his dodgeball has rolled down from the nearby gym area. Whos been playing with my dodgeballs? He went back to the bar, and went in. He threw the ball at the people inside, knocking a guy with a drink over and hitting a book out of another guys hands, leaving only a comic book in his hand. "Who has been playing with my dodgeball?" Nobody answered. So Patches thought he was having fun throwing stuff at drunkards. So he kept throwing the dodgeball, picking it up and throwing it again. This reminds me of times past.
|
Erunion, wrapped in his misery, ignored the flying balls. He only acknowledged them enough to pour himself a new drink, his old drink smashed. "Ya know... Maybe, I bet we could figure out who thesshe... Para..Pa-a... Parakites? Theshe parakities were..."
|
"Can't anyone catch a goddamn ball? It's like watching a bunch of retards trying to hump a doorknob in here!"
|
As the night wore on, everyone grew tired of the darkness and alcohol and retired to their quarters. Arvious, stumbling down the corridor, comic in hand, heard someone coming up behind him. He turned, grinning. Before him were two mutilated bodies, claws torn through fingers and faces distorted beyond recognition. They descended upon him, slicing and tearing. He was left, bleeding in the darkness, as the two parasites retreated. Arvious, the Scientist, was dead. Elsewhere, Patches, the Medical Officer, was going to protect someone for the night, when they saw a person ahead. Moving quickly towards them, Patches saw the figure turn towards them and aim an assault rifle. Shots rang out before Patches could protest, and he fell to the floor, dead by the Marine's gun.
-
In the morning, as solar power returned and all systems came back online, the remaining crew met in the canteen, and went to go see the deaths. Without the Medical Officer and the remaining Scientist, there were now as many parasites as humans. People looked to each other, suspicious, and the accusations began. __
Make sure you make a [[Vote: Person]] somewhere in your post. As it is, the parasites should win by standard rules, but as there were so few players, the parasites have to now outnumber the humans to win. Sorry for changing this at this stage, but otherwise it would have ended by now.
DAY ROUND - Start voting.

In his last few moments, Arvious managed to get his last words out.
"Crap, I died again. F*** this."
|
With a close friend of his, Arvious, found in a bloody mess the next morning, Charley was not happy. "First Septim...now Arvious...no...no...no," said Charley as he gritted his teeth. He looked at each person who was left alive: Aureola, Erunion, Ixil, Mac, Silence. He knew Erunion and Mac...but the others were strangers to him. Still, his friends could have been made parasites...maybe without them even knowing. Somehow the thought of dying made him feel almost depressed. He sat down and buried his face in his hands and began to think.
|
Ixil wandered around a bit, then decided to just f**k it all and drink--heavily. He had decided to stay on this godforsaken research station, and now he quite regretted his decision. As it was, though, he simply had to make the best of it. Alcohol was most definitely a key in that.
Either way...there were parasites on the loose. Parasites that now had control of humans who, all things considered, were on equal footing with the actual humans remaining.
We all still own some weapons, though, that should save us for a bit...
When it came down to it though, everyone was in a bit of trouble. That considered, Ixil put forward his best idea.
"I think we should lynch Silence...He's certainly kept to himself and, while I'm not completely sure that he's one of them...I certainly haven't seen anything to convince me otherwise."
|
Wow Arvious dead? I better drink to forget all the mess that happened this night.
Well I better lock myself in my room so parasites wont come in or I would die, so I rather prefer to die than to be a parasite.
|
You need to make [[vote:]]s, and preferably soon. Do I need to remind you that lynching a human would lose you the game? Although, the Administrator CAN block the lynch by messaging me if they want, after a target has been decided.
|
Charley listened to Riashin and sighed heavily. "As much as I hate to sentence someone...Silence is a stranger to me," he murmered. [[Vote: Silence]]
|
So hoy many parasites are? just 3 pfs I guess we can take them.
[[Vote: Silence]]
|
"No alternatives really presented...and not enough people have voted to see if who we're voting for is truly a parasite or not...I guess I'm just going to go ahead with my first instinct."
[[Vote: Silence]]
|
Well, Silence couldn't say he didn't see this coming, knowing none of the others, but it still disappointed him. "Oh well, had to end sooner or later."
[[Vote: Charley]]
|
Gonna have to hurry you, need at least 4 votes to lynch. If no other votes are presented, I'll lynch Silence later.
|
Mac ponders the predicament and then also raises his voice in agreement Vote: Silence
|
Bargh. My bad. Sending a message to the Administrator now...
|
The mob moved forward, and began attacking Silence. He cried out in pain, trying to defend himself, before falling to the ground. The kicking and stomping continued until he was dead. Searching his corpse, they found the ID card of the Security Officer, required for accessing the camera control room.
Mac and Charley looked on in horror. Erunion and Aureola were wearing small smiles. Ixil was actually laughing. Mac turned to him in surprise, and then hurriedly grabbed Charley and turned him as well. Ixil was morphing - spikes extended from his arms, claws from his hands. He seemed to stand a foot taller and his distorted face was no longer recognizable. He still laughed, the sound now completely alien. Mac looked quickly from side to side, and saw that Erunion and Aureola were also transforming. Charley quickly reached to his hip and brought out a side-arm he had managed to conceal for the day. Firing at Ixil, the bullets tore through flesh, but Ixil didn't seem to notice. He raised a talon towards Mac, still laughing. What was left of Erunion started forward and efficiently grabbed him, pulling him over. Mac started screaming in fear until the parasite snapped his neck. Horrified, Charley flinched away as Erunion bit into his flesh - and saw Aureola's horribly disfigured face inches from his own.
The next day, a ship piloted by three 'escapee scientists' flew from the facility. Aboard, the Cerebrate, once more in human form, left his two spawns at the controls and went to observe the stasis-containers they had taken from the facility filled with parasite larvae. They received permission to dock at the first major planet they came across.
------
THE PARASITES HAVE WON
I guess this was so short, as we didn't have enough people and I probably assigned roles badly. Blargh.
