It has been stated that that sarcasm is the lowest form of wit. It is a really sad level of intellect when a person resorts to insulting the memory of the recently departed to make themselves feel big and strong.

The banter throughout the game is brilliant and one of the main attractions for many. however, for a few who's character, comprehension, disposition and  intelligence quotient are that of a Heterotrophs, they intend spoilling it.

So when some insignificant nobody hiding behind the oversized posterior of a near nobody feels it gives them the right to mock the memory of someone dear, who succumbed to cancer, it is then time for admin to make it exceptionally clear that it is not in the spirit of the game, and players who feel this sense of humour appropriate should be removed. And that includes racists, biggots and homophobiacs that litter this game, and make players not want to even log on anymore out of distaste for their antics.

To the members of the two allied camps...you have shamed and disgraced the names of your fellow members. I hope your leaders, vices, the forum moderators and the game admin take a stand against this distasteful interaction.

I prefer not to accuse the whole KD's as I know some of the members to be of a civilised nature, as I have played with them in the past. However, it seems to be players within Dark and Mystical who feel freedom of speech means you can stoop that low.

How was (s?)he to know that she'd passed away? (S)He wasn't. Childish jokes like that come through the forums all day long. I don't agree with mother jokes at all, but as you said banter is brilliant, (s)he just went about it wrong.

You have said many sexist remarks to me and insulted me before...does that fall into those categories?

Holly...I did backlash at Arch, and also had it referenced to a private email sent to admin. And millions referencing it makes it right? And this has zero to do with what is happening on the map. It was aimed primarily at the Ryan the quiet character as he is the one pm'ing the insult, though i doubt he has the mental or physical capacity to have come up with it alone or defend the insult. Yet you feel justified in wanting to even "defend" your joke as adding insult to injury. Grow up a bit and use that grey matter, because one day, someone will take it further than just a game and a joke.

if you dont want people to flame you for personal stuff, then dont post it dont tell people about it and dont get mad when people do flame for it. this is a game its not real life and people have the right to act like *beep*s and *beep*s all they want to. if people insulted you or whoever lost someone/anyone then they should take it like a man or woman and hold it together...

What you said was in game chat. It was the one time I've talked to you in there. Darque Shade was in there also. Unfortunately I don't log what is said when I'm in the game chat.

im Water / Penguin.... Thats an insult for me, we were occupied by Russia for 40+ years and by saying that we suck Russians / Putins penis is a huge insult.

I just wish Pimp would have told me last era :-(  When I made a reference to his mom, which was MUCH worse than the comment posted this era.  I feel bad.  He should have just told me then and this would never have happened.

  Mr.Pimp, I'm sure we're all sorry for your loss, but what great satisfaction is bringing e-justice to some 12 year old with your momma jokes going to bring you? Can your mothers spirit not rest until every *beep* with a keyboard has been brought into the light and scrutinized? Most people have something that they are very offended by, but it is not the responsibility of fellow-gamers to know what they are, and it is not the responsibility of the game to shield you from them.
     If we knew each other in real life, you would know that I take alcohol/drug addiction very seriously, because it ruined many members of my family, including my father. And you would know that I get offended when someone claims that addicts are wimps for not being able to quit, or in other ways look down upon them. But we don't know each other in real life, and there is only a certain degree of accountability you can hold to someone you've never met. So if you would like to take this time to state that you no longer want people making momma jokes at you, fine, but you're responsible for the things you're offended by, no one else, and I doubt if the flow of momma jokes will completely stop altogether.

Maybe you've just insulted too many people to remember them all? I clearly remember what you said to me. It's what made me dislike you in the first place.

It didn't insult me, but I am sure it could have deeply insulted a lot of players.

The thing is. I wasn't really doing anything. I didn't say much in the chat. You just told me to "go back to the kitchen" and to "let the men do the talking". I have no desire to have it removed. Whats said is said. I dont want it hidden away as a taboo. In fact i would be insulting her memory further by ignoring it. And I urge admin to bring this to the forefront by enacting consequences to people who feel they are justified in making these kinds of remarks, as they have done admirably in the past when we have flushed racist elements out into the open.
Things dont get changed for the better by ignoring the problem.

I spent 2 years in the Gulf, 4 years in they pub trade in the toughest area's of London and Manchester, and know the big difference between banter and crossing the line. Os, if you think insulting a players mother is a joke, your role as a mod needs to be seriously looked at.

Now Fitesalot...slavery, biggotry, racism and homophobia were once socially accepted. The reason society shunned them is because enough people stood up to end those actions. To find a "flawed" element of a persons life (re: drugs and its affect on the family life) is not a reason to mock or use leverage over. It should be openly discussed, and people should change others points of view on it through a common sense approach. We are all different, yet have the same thing in common...biological/paternal parents and just the fact someone took the effort to bring you into this world is enough to warrant the respect and humility to your own mothers, and to any mother.

    You're asking for everyone world-over to stop telling "your momma" jokes because of your personal experience? sure it would be nice (honestly I'm tired of momma jokes, they've gotten old)  but guess what ? Freedom of speech is a b!tch, and you can't make anyone do anything. You need to find a way of coping with your own problems, others will not always cater to you.  ok, so now you're saying that vu should block the word mother? You can't stop people from saying your momma jokes, you can state that it offends you and you would prefer them not, but that's about it.

About these ,"offending obscenities", well sounds like you've been very hypocritical on that subject, I suggest you stop this thread immediately , or  josef will tear you apart.
