Puzzles...
15:23:49 Feb 26th 08 - Mr. Killer:

Right, this is pretty simple. I'll put a puzzle down to start with, someone else comes along and solves it, and then somebody puts down another puzzle, either the person who solved the puzzle, or someone else, if the person who solved doesn't have a puzzle to put down. All puzzles are fine, you have to explain the rules to finish the puzzle though. No questions, riddles are fine. Only one puzzle at a time, and if a puzzle lasts too long, I will ask the person for the answer, and then they'll put down the answer, and then someone puts down another puzzle. The person has to verify the answer, even if it's really obvious.
There MUST be an answer to the puzzle, and preferably, you should know it...

Right, here's my puzzle, I just figured it out last night, it was annoying me a bit yesterday...

There are three cannibals and three missionaries on one side of the river. The aim of this is to get them over to the other side of the river in a boat which takes two. However, if there are more cannibals than missonaries at any stage, the cannibals will eat the missionaries. You have to get all the cannibals and missonaries to the other side of the river, safe and sound...
I'd appreciate if you gave your answer like this...
C = Cannibal, M = Missionary

0                  MMMCCC
0   <-MC     MMCC
MC              MMCC
C   M->       MMCC
C                 MMMCC

etc. etc.

You have to bring them all over to the left(or right if you started them on the left)

15:46:23 Feb 26th 08 - Prince Calus Septim V:

I wouldn't have taken the time to finish that...that would take forever to type...

15:52:14 Feb 26th 08 - Sir Lelouch:

I copy and pasted.

15:58:12 Feb 26th 08 - Mr. Killer:

Correct...

15:58:46 Feb 26th 08 - Prince Calus Septim V:

Smart...

16:04:51 Feb 26th 08 - Sir Lelouch:

Do you want to post another one? I already wasted all those I know on another thread like this.

16:08:17 Feb 26th 08 - Mr. Killer:

Hmmmm... Here's a strange one... I don't actually know many puzzles, I just made this up.

lid + dim = ?

16:09:30 Feb 26th 08 - Mr. Killer:

And sorry about that, it is slightly wrong, but anyway... I reckon someone should easily be able to get it.

17:56:56 Feb 26th 08 - Lord Seloc:

middle?

18:49:29 Feb 26th 08 - Mr. Killer:

Wait, there's nothing wrong with that, I don't think so anyway, sorry... And errr... no, it's not middle...

22:35:06 Feb 26th 08 - Mr. Killer:

Maybe this will help...

LID + DIM = ?

22:52:51 Feb 26th 08 - Sir Erunion Telcontar:

Cannibal-Missionary one.
Grab a rope (or vine, or abnormally long stick), tie it to the canoe, take a missionary and a cannibal across the river at a time, then have the remaining four drag it back.
Repeat process until it's all done.
Failing this, have two people go in the canoe, then have the other four swim along beside with one hand on the canoe, rotating the people who are swimming and who are in the canoe...
:P

22:53:01 Feb 26th 08 - Lord Seloc:

All except for one of the first four words are repeated in this well-known phrase. What is the phrase?
(Hope you don't mind killer but I can't get yours)

22:55:05 Feb 26th 08 - Mr. Killer:

All for one.

Can anyone get

LID + DIM = ?

23:04:11 Feb 26th 08 - Mr. Wizardus:

Shouldn't it be "All for one and one for all"?

23:13:33 Feb 26th 08 - Sir Lelouch:

LIDDIM?

23:15:35 Feb 26th 08 - Mr. Killer:

Errr... no...

23:17:46 Feb 26th 08 - Mr. Wizardus:

DIMLID?

23:20:13 Feb 26th 08 - Mr. Killer:

Nope...

Shouldn't it be "All for one and one for all"?
Actually yes, have you heard this before?

23:27:14 Feb 26th 08 - Mr. Wraith:

MIN? (Don't know.... just a guess....)

or PRQ?

23:35:23 Feb 26th 08 - Mr. Wizardus:

@Seloc, yeah... I was talking to Killer as he just said the first part...

23:36:56 Feb 26th 08 - Mr. Wizardus:

Does it equal "???"? That's what someone said when I asked them...

23:54:16 Feb 26th 08 - Mr. Killer:

Equal "???"   ?
No, not MIN, or PRQ. Ok, I'm going to make it more obvious... sort of... perhaps... Imagine the lines just below and on top of the letters.
____    ___
DIM + LID  = ?

00:50:03 Feb 27th 08 - Mr. Wizardus:

o.0 you switched the words around... so the order doesn't matter?

02:02:29 Feb 27th 08 - Sir Lelouch:

I don't think you are explaining it properly enough and telling us what kind of answer you want. What kind of puzzle is this? Is a a word thing or is it supposed to be in some way mathematical? Pictogram?

17:37:10 Feb 27th 08 - Mr. Killer:

Ok, I'll tell tell you that it is mathematical. That should help you... You can either give your answer in letters or in numbers. If you can't get it now I'll just tell you the answer.

18:28:23 Feb 27th 08 - Sir Kassius The Brownie Bandito:

(m - i - d) + (d - i - l) if its anythin to do with 3 vector coordinates

18:32:23 Feb 27th 08 - Mr. Killer:

No... Just so you know about those liney things above and below the letters, they're just commonly scribbled down on top and below of them, I don't think they're actually supposed to be there... It might only be for the Vs and the Is(*hint* *hint*)

19:01:47 Feb 27th 08 - Mr. Wraith:

Roman Numerals.... but I dont know how to do them properly, I never got past 20....

DIM + LID = DIIM
499 + 449 = 948 ?

19:37:44 Feb 27th 08 - Mr. Killer:

Indeed... That is correct. 948, or LIIM, not DIIM.

21:47:01 Feb 27th 08 - Lord Seloc:

@Seloc, yeah... I was talking to Killer as he just said the first part...
lol Wizardus what a coincidence it was the correct answer to mine.

23:34:01 Feb 27th 08 - Mr. Wizardus:

@Seloc, it wasn't a coincidence as when I read what Killer posted I realized what the full statement that was your answer was, so that's why I posted it... nevermind...

20:36:17 Feb 28th 08 - Sir Kassius The Brownie Bandito:
