Fate didn't NAP Fear until DoA had already settled a mass amount of armouries behind MAD blockers, whilst MAD and Holy (who gave us a spanking OOP) were also quite happily building next to each other with no hostilities.

Not interested in the little flame war this era, but what I've said above is fact, nothing official was signed before we confirmed what was going on with those 3 KDs North of us.

I lol'd. Funny, from what I see/saw. Your core is as close/closer to FEARs core than ours is to MADs. We extended east and fought and killed ROC + poff and settled to fight against FEAR long before we settled armouries inside MADs core. We set up there after we realised you two were NAP'd (suprise suprise).
Come back with a better argument, wank stain.

Kobuskan, you keep referring to the fact you guys made no NAPs until  your core was lost.  I really don't understand your point to be quite honest. The same can be said for Fear.  The fact that you turned down naps wouldn't have helped you to survive either.   The only kingdom nearby to the conflict was black flag and they appeared to want your blood EVEN AFTER I suggested to them that they work together with music.  Black Flag said they would rather kill music and then fight us alone afterwards.  I give them credit for that, but its obvious you couldn't have worked with them anyway.

One of the music guys put down an armory in our core at the start of the round and that pretty much dictated how our round would go from a Fear perspective.  First, we war music.  Simultaneously, we then assign a team to build blockers and defend the west/south against fate, ravage regime, havok and AoA until we finish the music war.  After finishing the war against music, we figured our options were open.  One of our guys built outside our blocker against the fate area and I gave them one heck of an earful because we might war fate.  A second person then also built outside the blocker and I was about to flip out.  Going to war with fate was a serious possibly we had to consider.  We intentionally did not attack Ravage Regime because we didn't want to force a showdown with fate (who were entering that area) until we had a clearer picture of how the round would unfold.  The only plan we really had was wanting to war black flag because we didn't want them grabbing the loot from the rear of music while we did the heavy lifting against the armories in front.  Everything else, was wide open (and it turns out warring BF was also negotiable).

As we were fighting music however, we couldn't help but notice poff getting rolled by what seemed to be GOTF and DOA working together.  A DOA player even confirmed as much in this forum, I'm not sure if he was joking or not.  Whether they were warring or not is really of no consequence.  The fact is, we didn't see them fighting each other, and even if we did, relations can change quickly.   After we finished music, we could only spare 8 players to hold the line against DOA and GOTF.  The rest were going against other kingdoms.  AoA had put a couple blockers up a couple ticks away from our mines.  Havok was to the south and had open access to our mines.  Black Flag also was taking the attention of many players.  At the same time we weren't certain what fate might have in mind.  So we had people defending that side of the core as a delaying tactic in case a fight broke out.

I know for a fact that Hanky has no problem piling on in gangbangs in previous eras.  My ex-HIV kingdommates who are in DOA now can remember that BS in era 43.  Personally, I have no intention of repeating that experience.  I also knew that GOTF historically has often made peace with their enemies before a conclusion to the war is made, twice in era 44 alone (I am not criticizing them for this, I'm just saying they tend to be very open to the idea).  So looking at the real possibility of facing 50-55 players from doa/gotf with only 8 on defense, yeah...we started some diplomatic discussions.  Unknown at this time was that doa would allow music to rebuild (although we had a suspicion) and what relentless would do.  For all we knew, they would come to join black flag in fighting us.  We also didn't know that DOA would come after Fate simultaneously as against us, weakening the blow we would receive.

Many options were weighed.  We decided upon some relations that would offer us plenty of challenge (much more than we wished).  Even after establishing some relations, we have still been outnumbered against DOA every step of the way (at some times worse than others).  Its been a tough and stressful fight from our perspective.  As of right now, only 1 city has changed hands between DOA and Fear.  So as you can see our dealings were to create balance so that we could have a fair fight against DOA.  It doesn't get much more balanced than this.  It's certainly better than what Hanky deserves.

People are going to complain no matter what happens unless our kingdom dies.  In which case the crying will instantly turn into jeering.

Please tell me DOA really did cast the Dragon :P

 I can see you guys have one goal. Save DOA by holding the front gotf failed too witch I must say you have done a very nice job filling them blockers up:)
