Your talking about the Barbary Coast? So maybe the "Barbary Wars", to be honest I do not know. I do believe these actions led to the creation of the USMC though, and if that is the case then it was not so much a war, but a protection of U.S.A. assets, as the Marines are supposed to be the Guard Dogs of the U.S.A, and have evolved into the front line force. | ||||||
