Haha that Harry potter thign in Jesus camp was great "A warlock can never be a hero!!!"

13:52:32 Jan 26th 07 - Mr. Leo:

Mr. Surgeon General,

They ran into carbon dating problems, so it was not quite so straightforward.   in north america we had all these claims of natives on the continent 18000 years ago.   Some wondered how that could be esp if the dinosaurs were only pushing 6600 years.   Well turned out some things affected carbon dating, like the content of carbon in the air, just one example, look up all the reasons yourselfs.  The rings and ice cores have allowed them to establish a baseline with the existing atmospheric conditions at the time, greatly enhancing the accuracy.:)

18:20:12 Jan 26th 07 - Lord Erunion Telcontar:

Ok.... Interesting to see what I said twisted way out of context... Since when have I said that Global Warming was ok???

Harry Potter is a completely fictional character, in a fictionalized universe, and should be taken as so. Do you believe that he exists and that Wizards and Witches have managed to hide their existance from the rest of humanity? I didn't think so....

Surgeon, still, a 3000 year old Lemming??? If people don't know what the accurate carbon in the air is, how can they accuratly date something???

"Speaking through Jim and Tammy Faye Baker  God asked the good citizens of the world(those lucky enough to have satellite dishes at the time) if they would be kind enough to build a train around Jim and Tammy's church. To be one of the chosen one's and to show youre undying love for our lord all you need to do was send some money.  See you nonbelievers, he is soooo easy to please.

Right up with that are the dudes who cut off their units and killed themselves to hop a ride on comet hale-bopp."

Ok..... None of this is said in the Bible. Ever heard of Scams and Cults???

God required the Ancient Israelites to give tithes, not the Modern Christians.

On 12000 year old trees, and 5000 year old pines I found this.

" On a wild Tasmanian mountain there is a magnificent, recently discovered stand of Huon pine trees that has been called the world's 'oldest known living organism'. Newspaper reports have claimed that what looks like hundreds of trees densely covering one hectare (2.5 acres), is all part of the one tree, since all these 'trees' appear to have identical DNA. Over the years, it is believed, 'snow has forced its branches to the ground, where they have taken root'. (The Sydney Morning Herald, January 28, 1995, page 1.)

It is hard to see how a tree could be older than the time since the biblical Flood, so if its published age of 'more than 10,500 years old' were correct, then this would present a serious challenge to Old Testament chronology. In fact, some media reports claim the tree 'could be 30,000 or 40,000 years old'.

The media reported that scientists had definitly found the world's 'oldest living organism' in these Tasmanian Huon pines. A scientist working on the project said, 'we have made no such claim'.

So have these dates been obtained from drill-core sampling of the growth rings in the main trunk? Not surprisingly, the answer is 'no'. The source of the reported 'age' may be a 'guesstimate' based on core sampling a lake below the mountain which contains Huon pine pollen. This is clearly based on far more assumptions and uncertainties than tree-ring dating. Even the apparent absence of DNA differences is not 100 per cent certain, it seems, though probable.

It appears that traditional tree-ring dating on any timber found growing at the site so far gives an age of no more than 4,000 years. This is well within the ages of the oldest living bristlecone pines, which have around 4,600 tree-rings and are still the world's oldest living organisms. (Bristlecone pines are native to the Rocky Mountains of the United States.)

One of the scientists working on the project has issued a statement on electronic mail saying that they had only said it was plausible that these trees might turn out to be part of a much older tree that was now underground, but that this was definitely not a foregone conclusion. He said the media 'decided to run with the story that scientists working in Tasmania have definitely found the oldest living organism in the world. We have made no such claim'.

If there was a global Flood around 5,000 years ago, no living thing should be older than that. There are still some uncertainties with tree-ring dating, which is by no means absolute (for example, trees can form more than one ring per year). Nevertheless, it is worth noting that the maximum tree-ring ages for living trees fall just within this range. Apart from the biblical Flood, there seems no reason why, if certain trees are capable of living for 4,000 years, some should not have lasted much longer. "

On Carbon dating, please see here, it is far too large to copy and paste unfortunatly.... : http://www.answersingenesis.org/docs2002/carbon_dating.asp

Ghouma. 8000 year old egyptian farming? You know this? How? Been taught it in textbooks maybe? Written by evolutionists? Or from another source...

No, Darwin did NOT create racism. He merely enhanced it, giving more "reason" for it inadvertantly... Racism was there before, because of people being both blind and foolish.

20:27:01 Jan 26th 07 - Mr. Leo:

The bristlecone pines are a small group of pine trees (Family Pinaceae, genus Pinus, subsection Balfourianae) that can reach an age far greater than that of any other single living organism known, up to nearly 5,000 years.

The have a slice of one in the southwest US at a bar if you actually need to go "lay Hands" upon it to believe.

Just as much evidence backing up Mr Potter as ol hesus and the big guy.

and by that ofc i mean none.

20:33:52 Jan 26th 07 - Lord Erunion Telcontar:

Which is more than the amount of evidence for Evolution, considering the evidence against it.

It is possible that HP is real... Maybe after beating Voldemort he started an electronics company???.....

20:33:55 Jan 26th 07 - Mr. Leo:

Sorry I also give up, the world is flat, the sun revolves around the earth, you lose your sole through blood transfusions, everyone who does not believe as you is evil and will rot in hell for eternity.

20:38:04 Jan 26th 07 - Lord Erunion Telcontar:

Ok.... Here I was thinking that the world was spherical and that the earth resolves around the sun (both of which were discovered by Christian scientists), and that blood transfusions are an excellent way to save lives, without touching your soul... But I geuss I must be wrong, and I bow to your vast intelligence and wisdom...................

20:38:08 Jan 26th 07 - Mr. Arzun:

There is actually a group of people who believe that the earth is flat.

20:48:30 Jan 26th 07 - Lord Erunion Telcontar:

Aren't they called the Flat Earth Society? I think I've heard of them... I geuss they think the pictures from space are optical illusions, and that the government is trying to trick us into believing what they want us to believe?

22:05:21 Jan 26th 07 - Mr. Neratu:

So, where do aliens come into all this?

22:54:11 Jan 26th 07 - Lord Erunion Telcontar:

Aliens!?!??!?!!? Ermm... Where did that come from?

23:05:41 Jan 26th 07 - Mr. Neratu:

Arthur C. Clark's third law

"Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic."

23:08:55 Jan 26th 07 - Sir Senturu:

really? sweet.

*grabs his pen and runs out into the street saying that he is a wizard*

23:09:08 Jan 26th 07 - Lord Erunion Telcontar:

To one who has no knowledge of technology, yes, it appears to be magic. However, Where did all this come from??? What exactly are you talking about? What are you getting at?

23:22:56 Jan 26th 07 - Mr. Neratu:

God could be an alien of course!

23:26:31 Jan 26th 07 - Lord Erunion Telcontar:

Ok.... Or you could be, you certainly have an alien way of thinking...

23:31:04 Jan 26th 07 - Mr. Neratu:

Well, can you prove to me that the theory of god is a race of aliens isn't true?

23:40:14 Jan 26th 07 - Lord Erunion Telcontar:

God is the beggining and the end, the alpha and the omega. Other than the fact that he is immortal, cannot sin, that he is unique and that he has the ability to do anything, anywhere, any time. He is also Omnicient and Omnipotent. He even has the ability to be everywhere at once. Of course, this is only from a group of books which he, in effect, wrote. Other than all of these things it is possible that he is an alien, but unless one of these items about him is untrue, (his inability to sin, and therefore inability to lie) he is not an alien. Or he would have said so when Moses asked him who he was. And in a dozen other places in the bible.

00:27:24 Jan 27th 07 - Mr. Neratu:

"God is the beggining and the end, the alpha and the omega."

If something begins it will end. Therefor, not immortal.

"Than the fact that he is immortal, cannot sin, that he is unique and that he has the ability to do anything, anywhere, any time."

If he can do anything he can sin.

"He is also Omnicient and Omnipotent."

Im assuming you meant Omniscience reffering to "All Knowing" & "All Powerful"  brings up the old issue of, can god make a rock that god can't lift.

"He even has the ability to be everywhere at once."

Omnipresence. Quantum Mechanics?

"Of course, this is only from a group of books which he, in effect, wrote."

I thought other people wrote the books and god just told them what to write, but I don't realy know a great deal about it.

"Other than all of these things it is possible that he is an alien, but unless one of these items about him is untrue, (his inability to sin, and therefore inability to lie) he is not an alien."

Well like I said if he can do anything he can lie.

"Or he would have said so when Moses asked him who he was. And in a dozen other places in the bible."

Well like I said if he can do anything he can lie.

Eh I'm no scholar though.

03:15:17 Jan 27th 07 - Mr. Surgeon General:

Mr. Leo

1/26/2007 1:52:32 PMMr. Surgeon General,

Mr. Leo,
never in my post that i said that carbon dating was accurate.  I merely stated the fact how carbon dating is done. Of course its affected by many things, like a very cold temperature which the earth used to have until Al Gore invented Global Warming. :P

Surgeon, still, a 3000 year old Lemming??? If people don't know what the accurate carbon in the air is, how can they accuratly date something???

As i've said, I never claimed that carbon dating is accurate.  I merely stated the fact on how carbon dating works

Ok..... None of this is said in the Bible. Ever heard of Scams and Cults???

w
why would you use the bible in this arguments when it is clearly written by christians?  If Christian church has scam and cults, science also has.  One Fake Study earned a Nobel Prize.  The point is always check your source, if its reliable enough, believe it.

Ghouma. 8000 year old egyptian farming? You know this? How? Been taught it in textbooks maybe? Written by evolutionists? Or from another source...

You mock textbooks, why not mock the Bible which is written by christians.  2 pages on a history book has more evidenced than the entire Bible.
do you believe in adam and eve?
Do you beleive that Moses really got that  10 commandments from God and that he divided the Red Sea?
do you believe Noah existed?
Do you believe that guy (forgot his name) really rode a chariot of fire to heaven?
Do you beleive Mary went to heaven body and soul and that he was conceived by God?
Do you beleive Jesus Christ really turned water into stone?

03:19:59 Jan 27th 07 - Mr. Surgeon General:

Ok. Let's use the bible as tool.
The bible said that god was just and fair.
A baby born with a massive heart defect.  The baby died 1 hour after birth.  Where is Justice and Fairness in that?  Dont give me that "God gave us free will" thing, coz obviously that baby has no free will. coz if he does, then he would have chose life.

And according also to christian teachings, a baby that is not baptized will not go to heaven.  so what did the baby did to not deserve heaven?

03:23:15 Jan 27th 07 - Mr. Arzun:

Just to clear something up, Alien means diffrent, unknown, so God is indeed Alien, so would advance sciences that we have not seen.

03:27:34 Jan 27th 07 - Mr. Arzun:

SG I am not a religous expert or anything but I am pretty sure that that was Adame and Eves fault.

03:30:28 Jan 27th 07 - Sir Senturu:

yea........

as for the bible. it has been rewritten so many times. its gonna be extreemly hard to come up with hard evadence on the part of god being real.

then it also says that adam and eve. were in paradice right? well the snake got eve to eat the apple. and eve got adam to eat it. wouldnt you say that means women are the reason we were kicked out of paradice? sexest? i think so. blame women for things. yea.

well now what to say.....oh yea if god made us after his own immage wouldnt that mean that he has a body? so he cannot be everywhere at once? if he could how? there has to be some kind of reason.

is it possable that space "Aliens" are the basis of god? yes its possable that they came to earth during our stone age. blessed us with the willingness to learn. and from there we progressed.

if there are any other theories i missed please let me know

04:48:09 Jan 27th 07 - Mr. Killer King:

i am a strong Christian and have to put out my opinion

now from the beggining i jsut want to say this i have not read all the psots so i may be repeating stuff

Anyway, I believe that God created the earth and everything. i also believe God is omnicient omnipresent and he is 3 in 1 as in teh Father (God) the Son (Jesus) and the Holy spirit (Holy Spirit) and no God cannot create a rock that he cannot lift because it is not logical. He also cannot sin.

Moving on to the Bible. The bible was written once. It is made up of a bunch of different books (66 i think) the Old testiment (the first section of 2 of teh Bible) is considered the msot historicly accurate book in the world. In fact it is so accurate that when people test history books t osee how acurate they are, it is tested against what the Bible says. God told people what to write in the books so yes ultimatly the Bible was written by God.

do you believe in adam and eve?  Yes
Do you beleive that Moses really got that  10 commandments from God Yes and that he divided the Red Sea? no God did it trhough Moses
do you believe Noah existed? Yes
Do you believe that guy (forgot his name) really rode a chariot of fire to heaven? Yes and his name was Elijah as i remember.
Do you beleive Mary went to heaven body and soul and that he was conceived by God? No, Mary was going to marry Joseph. One day she found out she was pregnant. An angel (Gabriel I think) came to her and said soemthing along the lines of that the baby that grows inside of you was concieved from the Holy Spirit. She later gave birth to Jesus.
Do you beleive Jesus Christ really turned water into stone? Actually as i recal it (if we are thinking of tehs ame thing) he turned water into wine and i do believe that.

As for the question about teh baby dieing young. I believe (this isnt what every Christian beleives) but i believe that a baby taht has no chance of being saved (the only way you can be saved is by believething that Christ is your savior and died on teh cross. Unless [in my opinion] you have not sinned) For sin is the only thing that seperates us from God up in hevean. So a baby that dies as a baby (in my opinion) goes to hevean unless they know the difference between right and wrong and choose to do wrong anyway.

Those are jsut my thoughts and opinions about religion.

06:13:19 Jan 27th 07 - Mr. Neratu:

Can a being with no limit catch itself in a paradox?

Actually a being with infinite power, knowledge, and is everywhere at once sounds powerless in a sense. What would be the point of doing something when you know what will happen?

What is the bible historically accurate about?

As to the baby dieing when born thing, I think according to the bible if your not baptized you go to hell, but I could be mistaken however I know that all humans are born with sin and must be baptized to clear it and mark them as followers.

heaven

(n.)

The sky or universe as seen from the earth; the firmament. Often used in the plural.

heaven (n.) The abode of God, the angels, and the souls of those who are granted salvation.
heaven (n.) Any of the places in or beyond the sky conceived of as domains of divine beings in various religions.

So is it possible that heaven litteraly means the sky, and so angels descending from heaven could be aliens.

also what the hell is the holy spirit?

06:17:27 Jan 27th 07 - Sir Senturu:

its the mole people who live underground

09:05:30 Jan 27th 07 - Mr. Deathace:

I've got some questions:
How come there's so many different Christian churches if what you believe is the ultimate truth? (catholics, orthodox, evangelists etc etc)
Also, how can muslims go to heaven if they don't believe in your theories? Or how can any other religious people go to Heaven at all? Maybe their Heaven is your Hell and vice versa? That would make sense in a way. Of course, either side would say they're good and other side is the evil one.

Just trying to imagine the day when you die and your soul goes to heaven. They take a look at you, sorry, you were evangelist, the catholics were right, you've wasted your life believeing in the wrong thing so you go to hell, bye bye.
That would suck, wouldn't it?

09:10:34 Jan 27th 07 - Mr. I Love Dragon:

shut up deathace

09:45:10 Jan 27th 07 - Mr. Surgeon General:

"do you believe in adam and eve?  Yes"

Mr. Killer King, Of Adam and Eve were through then we all came from a single couple who mated.  Then why are there Black, White, Yellow, Brown Races.  Coz, if you believe that we came from a single parent, we basically have a similar genetic make up.  If that would be the case, then there will only be one race.

On the lighter side:
Adam and Eve bore 3 children all males, Cain, Abel and Seth.  This sound stupid but, who the hell fa(u)cked who?

10:04:16 Jan 27th 07 - Mr. Neratu:

"On the lighter side:

Neratu: Even incest wouldn't explain where did children come from if there was only Adam and Eve and 3 men that Eve gave birth to.

I Love Dragon: Why? Those questions are not allowed by the Church?

14:57:21 Jan 27th 07 - Mr. Leo:

Mr. Surgeon General,

I was saying that carbon dating was inaccurate but over time with many things to cross reference it to became very accurate.

silly me forgot to take into account that god installed so much misleading evidence into everything.

we should all take a nice Trip down to the southeaster US, go to the museum and see the display clearly showing Dinosaurs and humans walking around together.

Turns out the Flintstones was more then a cartoon.

15:45:38 Jan 27th 07 - Mr. Leo:

Do you think the big guy could take a few minutes and tell the pope its ok to tell his priests that raping small buys and telling em they will rot in hell for eternity if they say anything is a bad thing?

15:55:26 Jan 27th 07 - Mr. Ghouma:

Erunion, you disagree with proven facts. Would you agree that the term religous fundamentalist is fitting for you? Caus that is what I call you.

16:33:28 Jan 27th 07 - Lord Erunion Telcontar:

Neratu, the Alpha and the Omega, the beggining and the end, is a way of saying that he always is, and always will be. It is a term used to symbolize immortality, for he is there in the beggning of anything and is there in the end of anything. He can sin, but can you bring yourself to torture little babys than barbeque them and eat them with lettuse and tomato??? I certainly can't. I would die rather... Same with lying.

"Which he, in effect, wrote." I said that because he dictated those books.

With the rock that he can't lift, he'll put the rock on teh earth, than send the Son to lift it. When he fails, God the father will lift it. So in a sense, God can make a boulder he cannot lift. Sorta.

Mr. Leo, Absolutly not. So far I have seen NO misleading evidence. I am unsure, but my research has led me to believe that god, being just, does allow for those who are not yet mentally developed enough to go to heaven if they cannot understand teh bible. 3 men are directly mentioned, for tehy are important to to bible. Later in Genesis when it is giving a family tree it shows that Adam and Eve had other children.

Mr. Killer King, Of Adam and Eve were through then we all came from a single couple who mated.  Then why are there Black, White, Yellow, Brown Races.  Coz, if you believe that we came from a single parent, we basically have a similar genetic make up.  If that would be the case, then there will only be one race.

Interesting. Anyone who has done a study or even half a study on the human body, knows that the difference between races is, if I remember correctly, approx 0.00000001% of the total DNA. This is a minor difference, with most differences being from two things. Possible mutations* causing improvements and different climates causing gradually darker skin etc.

Deathace, it's not like that. If you believe on Jesus, and ask him for forgiveness from your sins, with all your heart and with all your soul, you will go to heaven (Baptism is merely to symbolize faith, an act of faith in effect. It does nothing other than tell others you are a christian. You can go to heaven without baptism.). Other than that, denomonations will make no difference whether you go to heaven or hell. It's what you believe in fundamentally that matters. Unfortunatly some denominations lead to mis-interprating the Bible. (by giving things in-correct meanings, instead of looking up the greek, which was a far more varied type of language.)

Didn't you see my earlier paragraph on the Dead Sea Scrolls? These scrolls were sealed up in ceramic jars and have been reliably dated (by both christian and secular scientists) to be from approx 50 BC. These scrolls contained the entire Old Testament. When compared to the modern version, the differences were mostly minor grammatical variances. No major meaning improvements there. The same people who translated the Old Testament with such precision and accuracy have translated the New Testament, fairly reliable no?

God does what he knows will happen because he gives us a choice.

For example, wellcare centers know that out of the money they give out, 90% will go to drugs/alchohol, yet they still give it out, for it is an act of grace and mercy, to give that person a chance, even if you know they will throw it in your face.

God made us in his own image. This means that he gave us intelligence, and the ability to be just, fair, right etc. He also gave us a body (what your living in now), a soul (which will go to eternity, whether in heaven or hell), and a spirit (Believed to be used in prayer and god, but have to look that one up.). God is trinite, with The Son (the body), The Father (the soul), and the Holy Spirit (pretty self-evident).

*It is a known fact that mutations occur. However, all these mutations are LOSSES of genes. These are fairly common and ususally destructive/dehabilitating. Some of these have been noted to be handed down from parent to child. No mutations cause the gain of genes (to the best of the knowledge in a the scientific field), Nothing has gained genes.

16:33:42 Jan 27th 07 - Lord Erunion Telcontar:

Did I miss anything?

17:19:12 Jan 27th 07 - Lord Erunion Telcontar:

Ghouma. I have ignored no facts, it is you who have ignored facts.
I have yet to see a proven fact that I have disagreed with.

(Edited by Lord Erunion Telcontar 1/27/2007 5:19:49 PM)

18:02:24 Jan 27th 07 - Mr. Ghouma:

Im sorry, I commented on taht you didnt belive there was organized farming in egypt 8000 years ago wich is proven (look it up on wiki or something). Are you saying thats not ignoring a fact? Your confusing me.

18:19:28 Jan 27th 07 - Lord Erunion Telcontar:

How was it proven? I would like to know. In fact, I will look it up on wiki.

18:24:04 Jan 27th 07 - Lord Erunion Telcontar:

I just did look it up. I could not find it anywhere on Wiki, having used a variety of words. If you can find a website that does directly talk about it, I would like to see this.

20:34:44 Jan 27th 07 - Mr. Neratu:

Can a being of infinite power create a paradox for itself?

Also if you know everything, then there can't be free will.

So we have 2 humans in 5007 years (that could be wrong) populating the world with roughly 6,572,537,941 people. This isnt even including all the people dieing through many ways. Also humans arnt sexually mature enough to breed till around 12-14 if im not mistaken.

So we went from the brink of extinction, very litteraly, to being a dominant life form.

"All things being equal, the simplest solution tends to be the best one." -Occam's razor

also he may have been referring to this

"The Nile Valley has been a site of continuous human habitation since at least the Paleolithic era. Traces of these early peoples appear in the form of artifacts and rock carvings along the terraces of the Nile and in the desert oases. In the 10th millennium BC, a grain-grinding culture using the earliest type of sickle blades had been replaced by another culture of hunter-gatherers and fishers using stone tools. Climate improvements and/or overgrazing around 8000 BC began to desiccate the pastoral lands of Egypt, eventually forming the Sahara. Early tribal peoples migrated to the Nile River where they developed a settled agricultural economy and more centralized society.[4]"

21:09:23 Jan 27th 07 - Mr. Libertine:

Three classes of people who talk to imaginary friends.

1. Children, they grow out of it
2. Those with mental difficulties. We feel sad for them and hope they get better.
3. The religious. At least they're in good company.

The rest of us abhor this supernatural nonsense.

21:24:57 Jan 27th 07 - Mr. Deathace:

"Possible mutations* causing improvements and different climates causing gradually darker skin etc."

Isn't that what the evolutionism is all about? Adapting to environment and stuff like that?

"
It's what you believe in fundamentally that matters. Unfortunatly some denominations lead to mis-interprating the Bible. (by giving things in-correct meanings, instead of looking up the greek, which was a far more varied type of language.)"

Some religions don't even use Bible as their holy book. They're entirely wrong and won't get to heaven?

"These scrolls were sealed up in ceramic jars and have been reliably dated (by both christian and secular scientists) to be from approx 50 BC."

Dated how? Because carbon dating is so innaccurate. I believe they must have used some other way to do it because you wouldn't obviously trust that result if it was achieved by carbon dating. What was that method?

And how about that free will. If a woman gets raped or a person gets shot on the streets for no reason whatsoever, that's their free will? Or is it punishment for something? Or I mean, if God is all that powerful and everywhere at the same time, couldn't he just stop people/living beings from suffering because of other people's stupid decisions?

Some religions don't even use Bible as their holy book. They're entirely wrong and won't get to heaven?

Yes, they will not go to heaven.

There have been mutations seen. However, all these mutations are degradations, the loss of genes. Nothing is gained. You may say, That snake had an extra head! Well, it has been studied and as is known to both secular and Christian scientists is that the gene that is supposed to shut off the production of heads after one is made, failed to properly shut off. This caused the head to grow during embryo developement. Similar things have been sighted on different animals, but they are almost always harmful, and every one is known to be because of loss of genes/damage to genes.

On ancient egypt, you merely state that someone said that this happened. It does not state how they know. Interesting how you question what I say yet blindly believe what you are told?????

Look up the dead sea scrolls to find out. I will if you're too lazy but I don't have time tonight.

Sin. When sin entered the world through adam and eve it caused a degradation of people. That woman getting raped is because of the person who raped her, not because of God. God is giving us a choice, for he is a just God. If God just stopped all crime and proclaimed himself, everyone would believe (or be insane). So God gives everyone the chance to believe, they have to make a choice, that choice cannot be forced on them. If god made that choice for you there would be no faith, there would be no believing. You would just see it. Therefore God allows crime, not stopping it for he does not intend to take a more direct approach until he has given us time to be forgiven of sins, by believing on Jesus. (No, believing on Jesus is not an excuse to commit crimes.) He will stop people from suffering, but after giving them a chance to redeem themselves. He will then judge the world, and you get the picture.

There were 8 people on the ark. Noah, his wife, his three sons, and their wives.    100 years ago, there wasn't even 2 billion people if I remember correctly from my school days. That has increased by 3 times (approx) since then. Now, if we have 8 people and times it by six, after 10 times (out of a total 50, 5000 divided by 100...) this equals 967458816. That would be after 1000 years. Now, count in horrible living conditions, murder, poor medical sciences and you still get millions of people i*beep*C. Not many eh?

Errmmm, God knows who you are, so well that he can predict what you will do when faced with different situations. He even knows your DNA well enough to know what your children will be like, what they will do, etc. He also knows the world this well, in fact, all of creation this well. He knows what you will do when faced with certain situations, but he still gives you the right to make those choices. If you think someone intends to murder you, should you kill them instead? You try to deal with them in other, less drastic ways.

05:42:55 Jan 28th 07 - Mr. Neratu:

so... why does god give us the chance to believe if he knows some of us wont and will suffer for it?

second, why does god need us to beleive?

so wait the flood was 5k years ago?

and i know theres a math function for this but it would be insanely long probably and im lazy...

However I still doubt whether or not 2 people could have ressurected the race. Seeing as if it happened to a species now it would generaly be considered extinct.

and what about shelters and food sources... did they just know how to farm then? how to hunt? alot of learning what to eat is trial and error, where error is poisoning.

also did you say all mutation is degredation? because thats realy not right... I forget some of it but... white skin produces some vitamin more efficiently where as dark skin produces it more innefficiently however it was an adaption to the radiation from the sun, it still works just as fine in the area where it evolved, however switch the places and both people will have problems, in areas of low light dark skin is bad for your health while in areas of high amounts of light, light skin is bad for your health.

another thing of adaption is cows milk, humans naturally dont drink milk after being an infant and so, they lose the enzymes that allow for it to be digested. However when milk became more common people begain to retain that enzyme so as to digest it properly.

"Errmmm, God knows who you are, so well that he can predict what you will do when faced with different situations."

So God knows that this guy is going to rape that innocent nun who believes in God and has believed in him for her whole life and does everything the Bible tells her to and just lets it happen? How righteous is that...
And I mean, where's the free will if he knows what people are already going to do? If the DNA dictates how a person is going to act in certain situations and God made people and their DNA, wouldn't that mean there is NO free will at all and God has programmed us all in a way that some do good and some do evil? And if that's so, how can God judge those people who do bad and make them go to hell if it was him that gave them the DNA that would make them do that evil?

And also, you didn't answer how those sea scrolls were dated to 50 BC.

"
Did they just know how to farm then? how to hunt?"

Actually, since they only took 2 of each kind with them (animals and I'm not sure but that should have been plants too) how could they even have hunted/farmed at all without making some species extinct? I mean, if you have two elephants, they're not going to procreate that fast really and you know, just having two of each species is running kinda risky...I mean, even nowadays with 100's of animals from same species they may get extinct.

Also, about the flood. Did God put the water on the Earth and then removed it? And was it salt water or sweet water? I mean, did he took all the salt out of the oceans before he flooded the world or...? Because as far as I know, salt in the soil isn't very good for plant growth.
