Ufo and Aliens
00:54:46 Jun 5th 09 - Mr. Koss:

i have a hard time beliving in a super advanced alien race they could be an infant species like humans or hell the could even be microscopic orginisms does it really matter? the fact of the matter is thet our galaaxy is trillions of miles and trillions more kilometers in size and the erath is not even a spec on the map so the odds of us EVER being contacted are redicoulosly slim

04:04:20 Jun 16th 09 - Mr. Gawaine:

Not in this generation maybe Koss. But I'm almost certain there's at least ONE alien species out there, whether it be small or big. Smart or dumb. I mean, there are plenty of other planets out there that can support life and probably do, we just can't go that far (yet). I wish I could live when space travel is ordinary...

07:36:54 Jun 18th 09 - Sir Santa:

Many people say or think that when we come in contact with Alian species, they have to be very advanced and all simply because they managed to reach and find us. But it wont be much longer, maybe 100-200 years orso, until we can travel with a speed high enough to reach other solar systems. Then wé are the "advanced" species and, like Koss said, the alians are then the infant species.
We shouldn't forget, btw, that if we find one species, we will likely find a ton of species. If not, what would they feed on..? ;)

12:17:16 Jun 18th 09 - Mr. Grounded For Life:

they'd feed on us?

12:20:43 Jun 18th 09 - Duke Pikachu:

I got abducted by aliens once.

02:19:29 Jun 19th 09 - Mr. Gawaine:

They would feed on the plants? xD Herbivores much? =P

Pikachu, sorry about that, I forgot to switch yours and my drinks.

12:07:54 Jun 26th 09 - Mr. Koss:

lol gawiane and its understandable that in a few centuries well be the advanced species but whose to say that these ather species we find wont be an ameoba or an ant it probobly wont even be a species capable of studying life or itsself nontheless be anything capabe of flight

12:14:34 Jun 26th 09 - Sir Extraodrinary:

:O you guys even consider the option?? =)
It's just too stupid..

I mean.. even if there are living beings in the universum.
1) why would they come to earth in their flying ships and abduct humans :p
2) does it matter?? whether they exist or not??
3) too hillarious :p

06:47:56 Jun 27th 09 - Mr. Gawaine:

1) To study our innards and workings
2) Yes, who wouldn't want some freaking aliens to come and show us cool stuff?
3) xD

09:46:32 Jun 27th 09 - Sir Extraodrinary:

1) that must be really interesting.. apart from discovering that all our innards are the same and perhaps the functions of them.. they won't find something.. so why would they want that kind of information??? are they all doctors?? :p
2) My life is fine :D I wouldn't care if they came or didn't came.... n'either would I care if they dropped a nuclear bomb.. you either die.. or you live... nothing else to do about it
3) I know.. it's very exiting :p

21:56:55 Jul 7th 09 - Mr. Koss:

y is that people like you always drop into a forum topic and try to drain the life out of it with a pathetic argument like "why does it matter" well dude just keep that ngative crap to yourslef alright cause noone wants to hear it

22:01:18 Jul 7th 09 - Mr. Fordius:

1. our inners prolly wont be the same.
cause even on this earth there are differences in species or you believe the nonsense that only our world or our world look a like have living beings?
I think we arent to far in those studies just to proclaim that living beings need water ( we reflect them to ourselfs to much )
2. You take your time with stuff that maybe is in no interesse to us yet we dont judge you do we :) some believe in gods others in aliens and others in me :)
3. if you arent interested dont respond or your short on attention ?

10:44:42 Jul 11th 09 - Mr. Koss:

well put fordius and good point who ia to say other living beings need water to survive i hadnt thought of that

09:54:07 Jul 14th 09 - Mr. Koss:

that is odd it should have identification maybe it wasnt painted on yet?

12:51:22 Aug 26th 09 - Mr. Palpatine:

lol lol lol

now although there are possible earthlike planets out there and there is a possibility that they contain life and that life is civilised and has superior technology to enable it to visit us and then have the motivation to do so secretly or as part of some conspiracy...

frankly religion is actually more plausable than that. so the real question then why are ppl more prepared to believe in aliens than god(s)/angels/demons etc....they are essentially both based on faith. it kin of proves the point we have to believe in something naturally and the "if God didnt exist we would invent him anyway" debate can extend to ET.

what is a bit more disturbing is the orginal author of these post, posting links to all kinds of evidence cant manage simple geography and therefore seems fairly ignorant on the subject.

area 51 is in the Nevada desert(not texas)

the supposed "alien crash landing" was at Roswell New Mexico , not texas, not area 51.

watch a few conspiracy doco's and everyone becomes an expert.

13:45:16 Aug 26th 09 - Mr. William The North:

reading stuff like this i allways think one thing:
Why do poeple allways think ancients where so dumb they couldn't do the things they did?
nazca lines? they aren't even perfect alligned if you look them up from the sky, there are a few test ones aswell that just look horrible.
then why are the Pyramids, why can't they be built by normal poeple? we got the drive to build monuments to outclass each-other (sky-scrapers for example) and we aren't any diffrent then our ancestors. so for me its quite easy:
is there alien life? probably. do/did they visit us and built our great monuments? i strongly doubt it:p don't forget that most planets are about the same age, evolution has about the same rate everywhere so they can't be a lot further then us. give or take a few million years:p

15:35:55 Aug 26th 09 - Prince Gaius Septimus Cidellus:

I think that there could be intelligent life out there, and there's a possibility, a good possibility, that somewhere out there, there are aliens much more advanced than we are. However, I don't think they're watching our every movement and crashlanding in New Mexico.

18:35:32 Aug 26th 09 - Mr. Skiepe:

if it gets to a war with aliens the aliens might forget 1 crucial thing: We live in a world were there is VU. You and me all VU players will be locked down in basements 20km under the ground with big computers and we'll be paid to play VU.... But real life style that is...And will be called Experts on Strategy and tactical war

19:50:08 Aug 26th 09 - Mr. Dargoth:

Have you read Ender's Game?

23:34:00 Aug 26th 09 - Mr. Arthur Dent:

"most planets are about the same age"

No. Possibly in perspective of the beginning of the Universe, if the big bang did exist. Think, humans have only been around for a few thousand years, and life-forms for a few hundred million years. If there was a species on another planet that was just like earth, with the same evolution rate, and the same geography, but was made just a few million years before, wouldn't that mean that the humans were around for a few million years more than us? Look at how far we have gotten in just a few thousand years, if nothing had happened to the other planet, then we would be able to assume that they have a far better technology than us, being a few million years ahead of us.

Besides, although I believe that there is most likely other planets out in the universe that hold life-forms with a similar/greater intelligence than us (actually probably thousands), the possiblity of discovering another civilization is extremely small. Unless we find a way to live for more than a few thousand years and develop a vehicle that can travel as fast as or almost as fast as light, we will only be able to travel to a few solar systems besides our own, which means there is only a small chance of discovering life.
