peasants revolting
13:06:55 Sep 29th 12 - Mr. Karta Killa:

I took a city and the morale was like 48%, I moved my army out and 2 ticks later they revolted. I though the morale had to be low for them to revolt?

13:13:43 Sep 29th 12 - Mr. Zombie:

48% is low...
Considering 100% is normal
I am pretty sure they could revolt at 70%...

I am dealing with the same thing
similar thread like this, really no need to make two threads about the same thing...

11:04:41 Sep 29th 12 - Mr. Zombie:

So I took a city from a Dwarf, 90k city, fully built

Probably last city because morale was around 30%
Still is, day after...

Casting happiness costed our mage mages and towers and got me only 3% up
Destroying buildings would not get me anywhere because its built within a mountain so I would not be able to build anything else... Or would I considering I am Dwarf too? Would the town keep its original 90k size if I destroy something? I was told if city is taken it looses the ability to expand, but I might test that to see if I can build any taverns.

Question is does a sole presence of an army increase the morale? What should I do? Please advise.

14:06:48 Sep 29th 12 - Mr. Karta Killa:

I was under the impression that they only revolted when they were angry and refused to pay taxes, which is about 17% and below. :P

To answer your question, no. Morale increases slowley on it's own, faster with taverns. An army doesn't increase morale. I'm not sure about the dwarf taking a dwarf city and still being able to build, you'll just have to test it. Although I think it would, or should work. Theoretically.

15:01:27 Sep 29th 12 - Pure (Mr. Axwell):

A city can revolt at 99%, its just the chances are extremely low

15:24:36 Sep 29th 12 - SFD (Duke Some Fcked Dude):

did it used to be like, if you took your pes out of the city it wouldnt re4volt?
i cant remember realy could be my imagination

15:26:58 Sep 29th 12 - Mr. Zombie:

If the morale is low, you are not able to remove peasants from city
The is a message "peasants refuse to move"
That is when you can expect a revolt :)

15:59:51 Sep 29th 12 - Mr. Gohan:

Train all the peasants in the city as level 1s if you want to keep it from revolting at low%... Enemy peasants revolt, yours won't so if you train all the peasants after taking the city and more come in you're fine with those ones.

16:41:23 Sep 29th 12 - Mr. Farm Over Here Come Feed:

Revolts only happen when the original peasants are still in the city. When you get a message saying that: All the peasants have escaped with the resources (or something to that effect), the city will never revolt.

Regarding revolt proper, I have experienced peasants revolting at 90% morale.

If you have an excellent supporting mage, he or she can help happy your city (cast a happiness on your city several times to push morale to 100%). Alternatively, detach a small portion of your army and put it into another army inside the city (not into the city itself). Once your morale reaches 100%, you can either put the troops into the city proper to save on upkeep or move them out as you see fit.

Check within the forums here as well for a formula stating the number of troops you require in the army to the number of peasants in the city. If you have too little troops in the army parked at the city, it will revolt anyway.

number of troops has to match number of pes for the city not to revolt if i'm correct i could very well just be blowing smoke but i'm almost positive that you just have to match the number of pes in the city

00:05:19 Oct 1st 12 - Mr. Dracula:

No that is not correct, I was told that 20 soldiers can control 100 peasants
I think it was something like that, was written by admin somewhere
So the ratio is 1-5...

00:47:17 Oct 1st 12 - Zond (Mr. Bohning):

just make the pez troops, or cast happiness. nuff said.
