Mr. Gilthas

Lived in Era 27, got 1 heir(s) (Gilthas) and was a member of Music

-Chronicle of the Ildarions-

This is the story of a honourable family living in eras that have long been forgotten. A story about a family of beings that were accepted by all races, Orcs or Halflings, Trolls and Dwarves, even by Humans and Elves. Though they themselves were more fond of forests and the races living there, being Trolls and to a lesser extend Elves. A story about the Ildarions.

Being accepted by all the races known on Earth in those eras, the Ildarions were in an ideal position to claim an important position in most diplomatical and political institutions used.

Gilthas Ildarion was a member of this family. Descending from a long line of Troll Warchiefs and Diplomats, he was sent to help a dwarf tribe settle themselves in the dangerous regions of Fantasia. As stated earlier, Dwarves weren't the favourite race of the Ildarions, but their superb building skills made would be an advantage to settle a new colony, but shortlegged races weren't fit for battle like longlegged races were. That is why the Dwarves asked for the help of the Ildarions. This may seem strange as the Dwarves mostly are to proud to ask for help, especcialy from a being not from their race. Atleast the Ildarions weren't Elves, that would have been a disgrace for all the Dwarves that ever roamed the mountains.

Mr. Swofty

Lived in Era 27, got 1 heir(s) (Swofty) and was a member of Music

-Chronicles of the Ildarions-

After Swofty's grandfather retreated from the harsh world of Fantasia. Gilthas jr. was trying to restore the influence of the Ildarions. To do so, he intended to create his own empire on one of the less hostile worlds. Though, being a lousy navigator Gilthas jr. never succeeded in leaving Fantasia. His son Swofty, however succesfully teleported with the help of some Musical friends to the lands of Zetamania. It was a world very similar to Fantasia, though the hopes were high it wasn't as hostile. To accompany Swofty on his trip, he selected soldiers from the most warlike of all races, the feared Orcs. Swofty never claimed he wouldn't be hostile to other rulers in the area, though when treated with respect, Swofty would prove to be a thrustworhty ally.

After settling a small city well imbedded between mountains and forrests, Swofty send out the troops he gathered for his journey, to scout the surrounding area. It was immediately clear that there was life in these lands. Lots of other cities were discovered and mapped. It was important to know the terrain and surrounding rulers in case disputes would ever have to be cleared with the sword instead of with the tongue.

After making sure he would be able to get a good view of the area, Swofty made some plans to develop a strong economy. He would need lots of gold, that's for sure. Though wood and stone would be very necessary to build structures in the cities he was planning to settle. The last thing he would need was food. Every living being needs food. Maybe it was possible to acquire this good by trading with other empires.

Mr. Swofty

Lived in Era 27, got 1 heir(s) (Gilth) and was a member of Music

-Chronicles of the Ildarions-

Swoftys father failed to build an empire with a strong economy and together with the Kingdom he was part of, he was forced to leave the lands of Zetamania. After a few years at sea and the death of his father, Swofty Jr. arrived on the huge isle of Starta. Though a storm caused him to be separated from his friends by mountains, forests and rivers, a small army was able to settle a good base. Immideately after the construction of the necessary buildings, scouts were send to find the shortest way to Swoftys compagnions. These scouts arrived after 2 days of travelling without any sleep. They could only hope that their ruler wasn't defeated by native inhabitants.
In the main base, Swofty Ildarion was informed about a tribe of trolls living closeby in 1 of the forests. Swofty was delighted, Trolls were considered to be the strongest race by his family. He immediately left to the troll camp to see if he could arrange a deal. The typical Ildarion strenght with words helped Swofty acquire a good pact. Swofty would gain control over the tribes and in return, he would help them to become one of the greatest powers on the isle. Swofty assured them that with a few of the trolls strongest warriors and help of is compagnions, he would be able to achieve that goal. The trolls left their camp and traveled to Swoftys main base. They immediately started helping the engineers to construct huge lumbermills. Now Swofty was sure he could achieve anything, with the help of the most great race that ever lived on these earthly worlds.
4 days after the first scouts left, he received a mesage. They found the others. Swofty himself would travel back together with the troll leaders. guided by the messenger, they arrived in the newly found area of the Kingdom of Music. Swofty ordered to build 3 more cities. The most important one would be a small but heavily fortified castle defending the only known passage of the western river. In the mean while, his wealth grew. he would soon be able to draft powerful armies. He send the 4 best troll warriors to a city and ordered them to train the draftees in that ways they were once trained. The Berserker way of fighting was a very powerfull one. And because 1 soldier trained as a berserker was able to oppose many enemies, Swoftys armies wouldn't be great in numbers, but their strenght would be incredible.

Mr. Gilth

Lived in Era 28, got 1 heir(s) (Gilth) and was a member of Music

-Chronicles of the Ildarions-
A NEW ERA, A NEW START.

Back to the roots. Even though Swofty Ildarion was able to become one of the most powerful rulers, this was only on one of the lesser worlds. Swofty's son was baptized as Swofty Jr., but because he wanted to achieve greater things, he decided to reclaim the name his ancestors once carried. Gilthas. Gilthas would later be known as Gilth because all his Allies called him that way.

The start of the new Era was a very good one for The Kingdom of Music. Together with some of his Kingdom mates, Gilth defeated the only Kingdom north of them. The Honourable Freedom Fighter(s) were taken out after a nice tactical move by Viceroy Kobuskan, placing a blocker armoury on the bridge linking the 2 river banks. Freedom Fighter(s) fought hard, but while they were without allies, Music could count on The Brotherhood of the Wolf to make sure their core wouldn't get attacked from the other side. And although Freedom Fighter(s) were defeated in that war, they were able to regroup and rebuild their Kingdom to face Music once again later in the Era.

After securing the Northern part of their core, the Musicians rallied their armies to fight against a new enemy. The Freelance Alliance was the new target. The war was short but fierce. Freedom Alliance never had a chance. They were attacked simultaneously by Music, Brotherhood of the Wolf and ZEON.
The war was over, but most of the troops were not satisfied by the loot they got, so a new enemy was needed. That new enemy was found under the name of Guardians of Destiny. This time, Music opened the offensive. Kobuskan and Gilth, both viceroys, immediately pushed through the opened blockers to enter GoD territory. After taking some small mines, they started to prepare an assault on the biggest mine they had seen until now. The siege lasted for days. New armies with fresh reinforcements were send to help. In the mean while, Brotherhood of the Wolf also started their offensive moves, totally crushing the Guardians of Destiny who were focusing on defending their huge mine. Both Music and GoD lost thousands of troops during the siege, though the Nazguls trained by Viceroy Kobuskan were so frightening, the city fell in the end. The war was over.

The biggest challenge. Armies of Music pushed further south, taking cities from both the Guardians of Destiny and Kingdom Hearts until they were halted by a fierce group of warchiefs. The group was called Carnage. The armies of Music were more powerful 1 on 1, but the generals of the Carnagian armies were hardened in battle and trained by their ancestors. By the use of better tactics and merging of their armies, the Carnagian warchiefs were able to push us Musicians back to a city called Heart Breakers. There we would prepare for a final battle. Kobuskan had studied the tactics of the enemy and convinced our warcouncil to fight fire with fire. We would merge our forces together and fight as one great force. The merge was a success. A huge army was formed and we defeated several smaller Carnage armies, though the real challenge was delayed. Lord Yerean, the Warchief controlling the biggest Carnage Force decided not to haunt us down, but to stay hidden in one of the cities they captured from our glorious Kingdom. And so time past, neither Music nor Carnage moved their main force, though they both kept reinforcing their positions.
After a few months, Lord Yerean made the first move. He ordered his army to prepare an assault on Heart Breakers. Scouts of both Gilth and Kobuskan reported that the army consisted of millions of troops. This wasn't just an army; this was a country attacking us. It was clear that the Carnagian Warchiefs had send army after army to reinforce their major offensive force. The Musician defenses were outnumbered, but they used the startegical positions to their advantage. They were able to prevent the loss of Heart Breakers, but they couldn't stop Carnage from sieging the city.
In the mean while, a famous Elf Warlord known as Tak Daken had breached the defenses of our wallcities. His armies were small and apparently not very strong. But he used all his magical might as an elf to slow our armies while his would still move, making it very difficult for us to destroy them. Music was successful in repelling this first small wave; Tak Daken was driven back behind blockers. Those blockers were still controlled by Carnage though. And while Music was planning an invasion, Carnage sent new armies to distract the generals of Music's armies. One of them was a powerful army filled with the most feared soldiers that roamed Fantasia: Nazguls. Commander Architect controlled this army and it was only thanks to the help of a Dwarven Master Smith called Penguin that Music was able to defeat this incredibly powerful force.
This was the last time the Leaders of Music got a positive message from the front. Only a few days later, when the skies turned red and every soldier taking up his arms was enraged by a mysterious force, Heart Breakers fell. The Carnagian Warlords created an army powerful enough to break every defense currently known to the people inhabiting Fantasia. At the same time, another powerful army controlled by Carnage took over a fortress a few days to the east. The Fortress, known as Carb had been under control of The Brotherhood of the Wolf and protected the passage. Now that Carnage defeated both Music’s and The Brotherhoods strongest force at the front, they were free to march through our lands, either destroying or claiming the cities they passed. The only possibility left for the Musical generals was to retreat their remaining forces to a gate city known as Musica. This was the city guarding the actual border of the lands of Music.
During the retreat, a disaster occurred, Rumpnissen The Evighetsmaskin, once a proud member of The Brotherhood, was struck by madness and ordered his forces to rampage through the lands of Music. The generals of Music never expected an assault from that side because the defense there was under control of Wolves. The raid of Rumpnissen's armies through the economical centre of Music's lands was devastating. Big cities were taken over and sacked, training camps were destroyed. Small patrolling armies tried to liberate as many cities as possible, but the forces of the madman were too big for these small amounts of soldiers. After 2 months of battling, Kimms, a new recruit strengthening the ranks of Music, was able to push most of the enemies armies back and he returned every city to his the rightful owner. Rumpnissen had one last trick up his sleeve though. 2 huge walls were constructed in such a way that they were impassable. Luckily, the Great God of Fantasia was finally with Music and its members, and the walls were destroyed by lightning during the biggest storm witnessed in eras.

At the same time, across the world, our allies of ZEON were enlightened by this act of greatness done by the one God. They created the biggest merge on Fantasia and send it towards the borders of the Carnagian Empire. The tacticians in the Council of ZEON's leader Messiah were unanimous about the path that would be taken to get there. They would march straight through the lands of the most powerful Kingdom known as Nemesis. ZEON was known as the most religious Kingdom and they were aided by God on their quest. Gates of Nemesis cities opened as soon as the army passed, giving them the possibility to reach the borders of Carnage lands. Carnage had however been informed by their scouts about this army and they send the merge that was used to break Music at the ZEON's force to make a stand. When they caught up with the strongest merge on Fantasia, they had their magicians, warlocks and shamans cast an incredibly strong spell. And then they prayed and offered to their half gods. Those gods didn't have the same power as the one true god, but they were able to grant their worshippers incredible speed. The Carnagian troops were able to travel the distance, normally covered in 5 days, in a few seconds and immediately charged at ZEON. The fight was fierce and many soldiers died, even more got injured, but in the end, Carnage was victorious. Out of the million troops ZEON gathered, barely 100 000 were able to leave the fight unharmed. This fight will probably go in history as the biggest battle fought during the era of Dark Orion.

While Music was busy ridding the world of the evil Rumpnissen, Carnage, together with their allies: Peacekeepers and the Freedom Fighter(s), who were once beaten by Music, marched towards the borders of Music. With 100 days left before our God would destroy the world, because he grew tired of the constant wars and arguments. The generals of Music await their grim destiny.

A small step back to gain power.
The end of the previous Era wasn't very good for Music. Carnage broke through the blockers with 24 days to go and the Era basically ended with Music members digging graves for their fallen comrades. They all had to pay their respects to the loved ones they lost and the brave soldiers who died on the battlefield trying to defend their homelands. It was one of the darkest periods ever known, untill it all ended with a short phenomena knwon as Armageddon.
After all the pain they suffered in the previous Era, the Musicians decided to have spend some time recovering on the less harsh world of Mantrax. The start fo the Era was promising, the Knights of Music moved swiftly and easily took out a small neighboring Kingdom to the south. When trying to secure the newly conquered area with some walls, they had some trouble with Ritz resistance. The Ritz' warchiefs were pushed back and the walls were put in place. In the mean while, A small division of Music's elite was dealing with a group of leaders known as Army of Anubis. The start of the war was very promising, though there would be problems with rebels using guerilla tactics for a long while.
Suddenly things turned. Due to our arrogance and the underestimation of a Warlock fighting for Safety in Neighbours [SiN], Music suddenly lost their grip on the southern area. Armies of Music were able to slow the progress of Inactive's Archmages, but in the end, Inactive rampaged through our core slaying army after army, taking city after city. The glorious Kingdom of Music fell.
Music fell, but they wouldn't give up. Thousands and thousands of troops died, but they still had a small area they could call theirs. The cities in that area all belonged to AoA members originally, but now they were a save place for Music to regroup.

Then all of a sudden, a peace threaty was signed between SiN and Music. SiNs borders became to big to effectively defend if they had to fight a war on all sides. Only a few days after the threaty was signed, corrution of a highly ranked SiN knight caused the Kingdom to fall appart. Mr. Inactive, once the biggest threat for Music and its citizens was now part of our Kingdom. His power alone made a powerfull Kingdom of Music once again. Music had already rebuild most of the power they had before the were defeated, though their enemies had grewn stronger in the meanwhile too. While the pact with SiN was broken, a new one with Ritz was signed. And Angels was the victim. Bit by bit, they would shrink untill a disaster made an end to the world as it was known in that Era.

Discovering new lands.
Once again, a generation had been wiped out by a phenomena that has become known as Armageddon. Only the firstborn son or daughter of a family was allowed to live on. This was the way God had decided it would be. Gilth was this firstborn son and his father had prepared him well for his mission. He would have to become a powerfull and glorious leader. And the best way to do that was to be good for his tribe.
A few days before Armageddon would end the world as it was known, Gilth jr. set out on a journey to find a a tribe willing to be lead by one of the Ildarions. He had found one. And not just a regular tribe, it was a trolltribe known as the Ilarii. They had already served under the Ildarions before and they were just the kind Gilth needed. He stayed with them untill the end of the Era and when he woke up the next morning, everyone except for the chosen ones had left for a better place. Gilth thought of his father and what he told him. 'Travel to the world of Fantasia and prove yourself to be worthy to carry to banner of Music.'
He left his tent and looked at his surroundings. Things had changed, the forest were he went to bed had dissappeared and instead, there was a large mountainchain at the horizon.
He tried to make contact with the new leaders of the Kingdom of Music. They were able to tell him that the one God changed more then just the people inhabiting the world, He changed the world itself. They decided unanimously that the world would be called Zetea.
After a short conversation with his fellow Musicians, Gilth ordered his small army to set out and settle a base camp. There was a lot of work and it had to be done before they encountered a possible enemy.

Lady luck didn't seem to like the Musicians, as she decided to place a group of Egyptian gods close to them. Abydos would be the possible enemy. Music was no real match for the bigger Kingdom of Abydos, and soon the first cities fell into the hands of the ancients. Music used their good relations with the servants of Zeta in the Kingdom of Zeon to remain on the world of Zetea. There was still so much to be discovered. Music dissapeared and the Musicians joined the ranks of Zeon, reinforcing them for the upcoming battle against the Carnagian battlemasters. Once again, these 2 Kingdoms would be fighting a war that had been goin on for Era's.
The Musicians quickly settled and rebuild all that was lost against Abydos. Now they were ready to help cleanse the world of the Orange Evil known as Carnage. Huge castles and walls were build and filled with troops, and to be honest, that was all that happened. There were a few incidents with Olympic swimmers crossing huge rivers to settle cities in enemy lands, but most of the time, the war was more quiet then a time of peace.

The lost technology
The previous era ended and it was a good thing. The most exciting battle Gilth had was killing a small unprepared Halfling army. One measly army was the only thing we defeated in a whole era. The trolls Gilth commanded didn't like it at all and started to protest against the situation. An agreement was made and Gilth would rejoin his companions of Music and head for the world of Mantrax.
When the era ended, Zeta, our god, once more ended all life except for the firstborn sons and daughters who exactly had the age of 18 years and 3 months. The son of Gilth was given the name Gilthas when he was born, but as his father and the father of his father, he quickly adopted the name Gilth.
When Gilth and his followers reached a safe spot on Mantrax, they started a first important settlement. When his men were putting the old scrolls and books of the Ildarions in the newly made bookcases, the came to the conclusion that 1 important book was missing. It was the one containing all information about how to construct great walls. Without this book, it was almost impossible to effectively build such a wall, so Gilth quickly send messengers to his fellow Musicians to request a copy of their information, though all the messengers returned with the same words: "they also lost the book!"
It seemed not a single leader in Music had the knowledge to build a great wall.

New fought wars
The Era continued nonetheless and Music thrived. Relations were made with a Kingdom of peaceful economists known as Dark Trio. This kingdom was soon attack by a small band of raiders united under the banner of Apollo. The rulers from Dark Trio did not prepare well for an all out war and were pushed back by the fierce raiders. Messengers were send to Music to request help and Music started preparing an assault in the now hostile area. Though, before Musicians were able to secure a safe area, a savage tribe of Gauls had already marched on Apollo and almost completely wiped them of the face of Mantrax. Dark Trio regained their power through trade and would be prosperous for a long while. Gauls however were power-hungry and demanded lands belonging to Music. This could not be allowed by the Musicians, and perhaps the biggest war of the Era started. The Gauls were overpowering in numbers, but slow to move. Music was able to hold out in fortresses longer then they hoped for and was able to get some minor victories every now and then, though the overall view of the war was that Gaulish tribes were slowly invading the center of the kingdom of Music.
The war turned for the worse when the Era approached the end predicted by the servants of the one God. By the time the chosen survivors of the coming apocalypse were done with the preparations, Music had completely lost the war. This Era would go into Music’s history as an interesting one where they once again learned a few lessons. The Roaming tribe of Gauls would go down in history as a fierce opponent that would most likely receive respect from Musicians for many Eras to come.

~Chronicles of the Ildarions~

A new Era, a new family
Once more, the known worlds were destroyed by the hands of our God. This was the way it would always happen. And as tradition wanted it, there would be only a few survivors of this disaster. One of them was Gilth Ildarion, chosen by his father to continue the leading role of the honorable Ildarion family. Gilth's forefathers had ruled over Trolls and Dwarves in the previous eras, and although the Ildarions would always have a tight bond with Trolls, Gilth grew fond of the mystique abilities of the other creatures living in the forest... The Elves. He therefore decided to travel to the new lands with a company of refined Elves, instead of the bloodthirsty Trolls. He would combine the arts of the Elves with the strength and willpower of Trolls, to achieve something bigger then all his forefathers, at least that was what he intended.

Gaining strength
Elves were never feared for their physical strength, though they made up for that with their incredible skills in archery and wizardry. Their archers were so well trained in protecting the Elfish homelands from invaders, that they could take on higher ranking troops one on one when in a favorable defensive position.
The main force of the Elves consisted of magic users known to everyone as Archmages. These Archmages weren't born as strong as Troll Berserkers, or constructed as a Human Catapult, though their strength would increase with every new magic art they learned. And that is why an Elfish Archmage would first study the 10 different arts of Magic before proving himself on the battlefield.
In the end, only the very best would serve in the biggest armies. They would roam the lands, together with spellweavers and cause havoc in enemy territory.

Change of plans
After a while, Gilth and his master tutors realized it would take to long to teach every newborn all of the 10 magic arts. So they decided every student would have to pick out 8 of them. Now there were new funds available that could be used to increase the wealth of all inhabitants and of course the ruler. Different offers were made to Dwarves, and in return new mining tools were obtained. The new found ways of digging gold were used to fund new weaponry and armor for the Archmages that already finished training. The sudden wealth in all of Gilth's cities was used to fund one of the most powerful armies on Mantrax at that time. 45 000 Archmages and even more Spellweavers, accompanied by 10 000 Archers were in that single army. When it was at the top of its strength, it completely wiped out an army of 70 000 Halflings ruled by Mr. Air of the Kingdom of Elements. It was a significant victory, but the real war had already ended by then and was won by a reversed scorched earth tactic, used by Demonic Shezmu, an honorable member of Freedom Fighter(s). Instead of waiting for the enemy to leave their defenses and than taking control over the city, Demonic Shezmu had his Orcas hordes raze through all of the most productive cities owned by the Elements. This proved to be a very efficient tactic, and it is very likely it significantly fastened the end of the war.
Other main enemies that had to be dealt with were Cease to Exist and Heaven. Heaven was easily taken care of by Freedom Fighter(s) once they had their War Economies up and running. Cease to Exist was able to survive longer, but mainly because there were more members, spread out over the map, while Heaven had their cities concentrated.

Killing time
By the time a Master Mage of Music called Seloc had enough power to cast the feared spell of Armageddon. Every area of Mantrax was free from evil rulers. Everywhere you would look, the banner of Freedom Fighter(s) and Music would stand proud on top of the highest building. The only armies walking the planes were lead by either Musicians or Freedom Fighters. At first, this was a pleasant thing to see. A real peace in the world, brought by only 2 Kingdoms. After a while though, rulers got bored, so they decided to organize a tournament, to keep the morale of their armies and followers high. In the center of the world, the most powerful armies would gather to battle each other. The winner would go into history as the most powerful ruler of the current Era.

Gilth tried to make his empire as wealthy and powerful as possible. He increased the capacity of his mines, built free homes for new immigrants and invested in technologies to gain more wood faster. The income of his lands grew. By the time it was time to prepare for the end of the world, Gilth had tripled the income compared to the moment when Music and FF gained complete control over Mantrax. He couldn't keep up with the more efficient miners like Dwarves, or take control of the market like a Human, but he was effective. While he was building his cities, he also ordered the training of more men for his army. He had one recruiting center focus on Elite troops. There would only be Archmages leaving those barracks. Other recruiting centers would recruit both Elite troops and militia to protect the cities from small bands of bandits. In the end, the royal army consisted out of 230.000 Archmages and the same amount of spellweavers. And he had the possibility to draft 10.000 more Archmages every day. If he would combine all his militias together, he would have an impressive 600k force of weaker troops, mostly Ghosts.
His main goal at the end of this era was to keep his seat at the council table of most powerful rulers on Mantrax. Only the best 10 were selected by the almighty but no one knew exactly how Zeta picked them.

~Chronicles of the Ildarions~

Purifying the blood
After an Era living with the Elves, the Ildarions now considered both Trolls and Elves to be superiour to other races. To make sure this would never change, Gilth Ildarion Senior ordered his son -once again named Gilth- to travel to a land far away, called Shattered Worlds. This was a beautiful newly discovered area, covered with craters. Some were only the size of a small military camp, others where the size of 4 big cities.
Gilth and some of the selected Elves would travel here to purify the race from all other influences. They left the homelands in Mantrax without even taking the books describing all 10 Magic Arts. Everything would have to be studied from scratch again. This would provide an excellent base for a pure and powerful race.

The new era started good, with a nice new world to be explored. Gilth's scouts had to travel long distances to settle a new colony. The firts city of these newborn Elves would be called Arpolis. By the time Gilth settled this city, Music had already encountered a first enemy. Legacy... A well known band of fierce warriors. They were said to be the very best strategists. Music would have a real challenge here.

The War
When the war started, the Musicians weren't fully prepared yet. Some of them, like Gilth, had to travel long distances before they could settle a city and had a disadvantage compared to the other Rulers. Legacy started as strong as expected with a fast opening on our side of the front, giving them a foothold in our area within the very first days of the war. Their progress stopped here though, as they were pushed back by the Elvish forces under the command of Daryl. These fights created the possibility for the other rulers to get their armies in the area, and some sort of stalemate occured. Towns went from hand to hand during those days. You never knew when a slightly stronger army would appear to defeat yours. An important role was played by Doublex, an heir of the well-known Crissxcross. His family had once been the most powerful on the known worlds. Doublex was the commanderof the army defending a sole fortress on a bridge. This fortress was totally surrounded by Legacy cities, but wouldn't fall during the whole war. Doublex was supported in his efforts by Gothrim. The Famous Dwarven family had been appointed to teach the humans how to build a real mine and Gothrim was selected to complete this task. Gothrim had his armies marching from Picollo mine on a daily basis, reinforcing the Orcisch troops Doublex already had in his fortress.
Days passed, and from our side, it was looking good. Music armies were more victorious then not. They were trying to liberate the last few cities when a message arrived. The warriors from Legacy were offering a peace agreement. Music had fought well and survived longer then expected. In the mean while, a rebel had arrisen in Legacy lands and he proved to be more trouble then you would expect from a loner.
By the time Music and Legacy signed the agreement, a new troublemaker appeared. Fordius the Ugly, an Orc so ugly even Troll faces turned white when they saw him. Fordius was an Orc that didn't care about tactics. He only wanted to burn and raze everything that was more beautiful then him. So basically he wanted to raze everything. He fought with two major army types. One type was a more common big army structure. Those armies consisted out of Gaia and Hammerthrowers. The other, more dangerous type, were small incredibely fast armies with only Nazguls. Those Nazguls were the most feared creatures on in the world and maybe the only thing even more ugly then Fordius himself. Music was able to quickly react to his first outbreak, but he had already done alot of damage. The second time he tried, Music decided to end him forgood and systematically wiped all his armies. Gilth was the leader of a merged army, defeating Fordius' biggest army. The Musicians were still not sure if it was his strongest though. A few days east, Gilth had also taken over a city of Fordius against all odds. His army, consisting of ghosts and archers fought a battle against an enemy 2 times as strong, but thanks to the good morale and the knowledge that the outcome of this battle could be decisive for Musics fate, the battle was won and the city taken over.

~Chronicles of the Ildarions~

The story continues
During the heroic battle where Gilth's forces defeated the stronger forces of Fordius the Ugly, Gilth was severly injured. Because he would probably never regain feeling in his arms, he resigned from the throne and appointed his young son. Idaron was only 13 years young when he sat on the throne for the first time. And to honour his father, he changed his name to Gilth. Rulers in areas far away wouldn't even know a new ruler was in charge of the Ildarion Clan.
Ther were however some rebels that didn't like it that such a young boy would become the leader of such a great empire and they ceased controll over the cities they lived in. The Royal Soldiers were all assasinated in their quarters before they even knew what was coming. Arpolis was fully destroyed, and other cities were left in the hands of the native people. Gilth managed to escape with his lifeguards and some members of the royal court, including his mother. His father however had tried to reason with the rebels. They never heared from him again and therefore assumed he was killed.
Gilth and his small group of followers fled to a city controlled by a trusted friend of the family, Gothrim. From there they marched out to settle a new empire for the Ildarions.
During the struggle for power, it seemed all written knowledge of the 10 magical arts was lost. Luckily Gilth's mother had also studied these arts, and she was able to reproduce some of them very fast.

A new battlefield
After the war with Legacy ended, Gilth had not seen much battles, except for the ones the rebels fought. Music had however decided to wage war against a new enemy: the Sheolic Empire. The most important reason to chose the Sheolic Empire as an enemy was the fact that they were warring The Musketeers, an ally of Music. Another, less important factor was the possibilty to actually reach the enemy.
Musics explorers prepared for the long journey and set off. When they finally arrived after days of travel, they immediately proceeded with the construction of a base camp. Soon, the first locals were recruited, and a small force was employed to ensure the safety of the other Musicians yet to come.By the time Gilths Explorers reached the area, he had already established a stable economy in Musics Homeland. He only had to concentrate 2 more things now. Constructing an army, and gathering enough knowledge to reconstruct the magic arts. Gilth was lucky, as there were already others who had studied the 10 magical arts, he was able to learn from them. He reached his goal sooner then expected. Now, with only one thing on his mind, his army, he started a campaign in all neighbouring areas to recruit locals. He promised them a good education, training in the arts of war and most important glory on the battlefield. Soon, he had an army of 70000 Archmages with magic support from 45000 spellweavers and an auxiliary force of 10000 archers and 10000 riders. This army was sent to battle. The first stop would be Kineo, a fortress on the Sheolic Empires border. They were added to the massive force already there. Millions of troops had gathered in and round Kineo, but the Sheolic Empire had gathered even more troops in Ruatha Weyr, a nearby magic tower.
When Music send a second army of 500 000 men to attack the Sheolic Empire, their leaders decided to intercept the army. When both armies met on the battlefield, it was clear that the Sheolian forces were stronger then the forces from Music and Musics army was completly wiped from the face of the earth.
The Sheolian army didn't return to Ruathat Weyr, but headed for Heavy Metal, a Musical fort, securing a mountainpass.
Musics biggest army came into action, lead by Spoon and Gilth, it marched towards the enemy, who had crushed the walls of Heavy Metal and was marching straight through. Gilths Spellweavers managedd to freeze the big army for 3 whole days and Musics army was able to catch up. When Spoon lead our army into battle, Gilth stayed in a cave with a basic lifeguard. Spoon had decided things would get really ugly and wanted to spare the young Elf from these gruesome acts. The nicest thing an Orc has ever done for an Elf.
Spoons tactics proved to be good and Musics combined forces were able to defeat the Sheolians. The

Sorry for the weird end last era. Didn't have time to finish the story.

~Chronicles of the Ildarions~

The end of last era
After the one glorious battle, Musics trusted soldiers were defeated more then once in the following battles. Our morale went way below 0, but in the end, we managed to stop the Sheolic advance at Fort Ildarion. The fortress at the shore of a giant lake, was packed with millions of troops, Elven archers and spellweavers, Dwarven axemen and hammerthrowers, Human knights and catapults, Halfling adventurers and pony riders and of course the sky was filled with Orcish nazguls. It was a huge force, and Music had time on their side. Every day they lasted longer, they had more chance to keep themselves from total destruction. And in the end, Music remained the 4th most powerful Kingdom on Fantasia, though we had lost the war.
When the end of the world approached, the chosen ones were prepared for their crossing to the new world.
All together, they decided that young Gilth (son of Gilth era 33) would become the leader of Music.

Try again
The new era started and Music began settling their first cities along a long mountain chain. A bridge was secured by a Fortress made by owned by Spoon. Scouts were send out in all directions, to get a good view of the area and the neighbouring Kingdoms.
The first Kingdom to be spotted was Peacekeepers, lead by Grim Darkhammer. Music investigated if it would be wise to assault them or be even wiser to sign an agreement with this honourable group of rulers. A decision was made, there would be peace between Peacekeepers and Music. With this agreement made, Music could focus on a war against another Kingdom. That kingdom would be The Twilight under the command of one of Fordius's sons. The war was even for a good while, but while Music was fighting The Twilight, they were able to close other fronts and in the end push back Music. The battles during the 'stalemate', were intense and won't be forgotten by the ones that fought them and survived. Thousands and thousands of Nazguls were seen in those days. The Rulers carrying a Music banner lost faith. The Twilight was simply to strong. This battle could not be won without help. And help was something we didn't have. Dark Blood finished our neighbours of the Sheolic Empire and The Twilight decided to also sign an agreement with Peacekeepers, leaving Music on its own. At the end of the era, Music was disbanded, hopefully not forever, though only time can tell.

Mr. Gilthas

Lived in Era 35, got 1 heir(s) (Gilth) and was a member of The Old Firm

~Chronicles of the Ildarions~

After Music disbanded, most of the leaderships rulers went their own way. Some, like Gothrim would just wander on the worlds as a mere peasant, not bothering with the big quest of ruling the world. Other decided to join in another alliance to see they could fulfil their dream there. Gilthas, son of Gilth, decided to travel the worlds to see if there were other interesting things to see or to do...
Because he didn't want to travel alone, he joined up with a travelling Troll tribe, it was a fairly unknown tribe, even for the Ildarions, who had spent many generations living with Trolls. Because no one knew of his history, Gilthas never adopted the name Gilth. Maybe this was the signal for a new start.
The tribe travelled for many years, while the wars on ever plane raged on. A new kingdom of Superheroes was created on Fantasia, as was a Kingdom known as Foundation. Both did fairly well in their attempt to rule the most beautiful world of all., but the Peacekeepers or Legacy were more likely to claim the title of Ruler of Fantasia.

When Gilthas was travelling the worlds, he passed through Mantrax and Zetamania, even spent some time on Starta, but none of those places could bind him. Nirvana however had some factors in its favour. A Kingdom known as The Old Firm had only been recently created on this young world and apparently it was lead by a cousin of Kobuskan, known as Humanoid Invader. Even Spoon, the once glorious leader of Music had joined this Kingdom. It had to be worth it. So, for the first time in 30 years, Gilthas settled a city.

The story of Gilthas's reign.
The Empire of The Old Firm flourished. Cities were settled around a big mountain lake and scouts were send in all directions to find other 'cultures'. Humanoid Invader proved to be a strong leader when he quickly claimed the position of most powerful ruler. In the end, the other rulers of The Old Firm would also become important forces. The little wars that were fought didn't mean much. An agreement was made with the Chompers to provide security for all citizens. When all opposing kingdoms were either destroyed or became insignificant, a war started between Chompers and The Old Firm. And for the first time, we were faced with a real fair challenge. The generals of Chompers made the first moves and captured quite a few cities, but mostly remote outposts. When strongest armies of The Old Firm started marching, the war was soon decided. Spoon send out 200 000 Adventurers, Humanoid Invader had more then 100 000 knights and 40 000 catapults causing havoc. Braveheart was able to field more then 150 000 Dwarven Axemen and Gilthas had an army with 150 000 Warlords and 10 000 Berserkers and Mano was seen with around the same amount of troops. These were definitely not the strongest armies ever seen by an Ildarion, but they were more then strong enough to conquer the cities of Soccermunches, Eason and alike.
At the very end of the era, Gilthas even had to suppress a guerilla war fought by some Russian socialists, but they never became a real threat.

~Chronicles of the Ildarions~

Loyal to a pirate
For the very first time since the Ildarions started writing down their Chronicles, they asked to join a certain kingdom. After Music, a temporary stop at Zeon and the relaxed time in The Old Firm, Gilth now sought a new challenge for his family. Together with a group of Trolls, he set out to find a new place to live. There were multiple possibilities to choose from, but Gilth decided fast. Retribution would be his new home, once again a black flag to serve under. He would be loyal to his new leader, he would bring Pirate Lewatha to the top.

At the very start of the era, Gilth already had problems. It wasn't easy to find a place to settle his first city. Because of this, he decide to enter enemy lands while he was still protected by the magic of The One and Only Zeta. He then immediately set up a drafting city in the lands of Aurora and ordered his chiefs to start training troops. He would not bother with constructing mines in enemy lands. By the time the protection was lifted, Gilth had a sizeable army. It was send out to the nearest mines controlled by Aurora Rulers. Gilth was only able to capture 1 of those mines before his army had to battle against an even stronger one, the Humans of Mr. Mystic. The losses were big, the morale was low. A last plan was devised, A small band of Hobgoblins would start the preparations on a large mining city, called Mystic. The main army would arrive later and could use the preparations of the small group to speed up their process of preparation. The Hobgoblins reported that there were very few troops inside the city, so Gilth was hopeful. There was only one problem, the few defending forces had a major advantage, because they could use defensive walls, and more important, guard towers. Mr. Mystic, the owner of the city also send reinforcements, who ultimately defeated Gilth's main army. His role in enemy territory was over.

Luckily, a few man escaped the slaughter, with Gilth among them. They fled to a far away outpost. The outpost was settled because it was expected that the troops behind enemy lines would be defeated. Now, it was time to rebuild. For the very first time during this era, Gilth ordered the construction of mines.
While Gilth was busy with his own rulership, the war against both Aurora and Fusion raged on. Retributions allies, Legacy, helped Retribution clearing out Ilia, A warhungry Halfling with a few thousand Pony Riders under his command. They also raided Aurora's mining cities more then once. The war against Fusion never went bad. Although we didn't put pressure on them at all, they never succeeded in entering our territory. There probably were internal conflicts or other fronts requesting their attention.
After only a few months, Gilth had established an economy strong enough to support the war again, he didn't even think about training Hobgoblins or Rockthrowers, the troops he wanted to employ were the feared warlords. Thousands and thousands of these fierce warriors would wander Fantasia, carrying the beautiful black banner of Retribution. The first groups of a few thousand Warlords were send to aid Orc Chief Zii in his battles against another Halfling warrior. (The Halflings most certainly were aggressive this era). Random was his name.
Gilth and Zii were successful after days of chasing an army of Pony Riders and Adventurers and the biggest army of Random at that time was slain. GiIlth's warlords battled the Nazguls of Peacekeepers after that and were once again succesful.

Straight line to his grave
After the first small successes, Gilth failed to continue this positive trend. The war with Aurora wasn't even finished, when Foundation, the largest kingdom on Fantasia send a large army towards our ally, Legacy. Skilled as they were, the tacticians of Legacy were able to push back that army with an bigger one of their own, but it seemed they were themselves outmanoeuvred by the warriors of Foundation, who reinforced their army with an enormous amount of fresh troops. They were able to defeat Legacy's biggest force and marched straight into their economic centre. The leadership of Retribution immediately ordered all rulers to provide troops to serve in a big army. Gilth was able to send 32 000 warlords and 7 000 berserkers, protected by 30 000 mages. At that time, it was said to be one of the strongest armies on Fantasia. Retribution was able to push the Foundation army back inside a walled fortress, but Foundation was able to reinforce its army faster then Retribution and beat back Retribution's army. A stalemate begun on this front. At the same time, Retribution had been fighting Peacekeepers and witnessed the appearance of armies carrying the banner of Heaven. These armies weren't friendly either. The attacks started on every front. Retribution kept Foundation at bay as good as possible and was able to push back Peacekeepers and actually defeat multiple of their larger armies. Some of the armies with a Heaven banner were also beaten, but the others entered our core area and started causing havoc. New Foundation armies arrived and captured another part of our core. Gilth was one of the first real victims of this breach. He lost every city under his control and had to pull back into a city of an allied ruler, Luis Funes. It was only in these allied cities, that Gilths armies could survive, as Gilth had no gold left to pay the wages. Days passed, and Gilth did nothing. He just waited until someone would give his armies the final blow. Though, one day, he saw an opportunity, to at least die fighting. An Orc from Heaven had captured several cities from Retributions rulers. Gilth send out his army to recapture these cities. He then decided to raze every building inside. This army was defeated by the Orc later that same day. His other main army rested in the merge for a few more days, until finally, Fate captured the fortress and slaughtered all armies inside.

[Note: Era 36 I was in Retribution (all of it)]

~Chronicles of the Ildarions~

A woman in charge
The early death of Hazels father, Gilth, created a problem. Their were no male successors to lead the Ildarions. This had never happened before. After a long debate amongst the council members, the easiest solution was agreed to be the best. With no male successors, the title of leader of the Ildarions would pass the oldest daughter. Hazel Ildarion would become leader of the Ildarions at the age of 17. Although she was fond of Trolls and Elves, just like her ancestors, Hazel became the leader of a village inhabited by humans. Most would claim that humans could never compete in strength with trolls, though using their mind, they were able to overcome their weaknesses, but it would cost a price. A swordsman was no match for a warlord in a one on one battle, but if you give the swordsman a horse and call him a knight, he will equally be the equal of that same warlord. The humans were great inventors. They couldn't smith like the Dwarves, or use magic like an Elf. But they were able to construct a machine that could throw rocks as big as goblins towards the enemy. Those rocks were devastating when they were aimed correctly, the only weakness these machines had, was their vulnerability to enemies because the operators weren't trained as intensely as a knight.

The gods must be crazy
When Hazel first awakened after a long sleep during armageddon, she immediately noticed the differences to the world. It just sounded differently. A first city was settled and scouts were send out to look for extraordinary things. Their reports were astonishing. Apparently, there was no boundary to the world, it was round. One huge chunk of land and water instead of the usual flat square. This change in the world had immense consequences, as there was no safe place left, for Kingdoms to settle. Every area was open for attacks.

Marching out
After a few days, the wise council of Retribution announced the first war, Legacy would be the target. They had been our allies in the previous era, though that was in the past. Right now, they controlled a huge mountain chain, which would provide tons of gold for Retributions war efforts if we could gain control. A few days after this announcement, there was already a second war target, Dark. A large kingdom, mostly consisting of rather newly founded estates. Both wars were won with the help of our allies, Godlike Noobs (Ex-Aurora). Legacy and Dark had to relocate to the other side of the globe.
Our troops had only just won the last few skirmishes of these first wars, when a new enemy stepped up. Vengeance had been causing problems in the north. Orders were given and Hazels loyal soldiers were marching through the lands of Fantasia once again. More then 30 days in a row did the veterans travel. They were welcomed by new recruits and old friends. Hazel had to deploy her troops in a fortress guarding a narrow passage. They had to defend the walls against Armies from Vengeance more then once. But Hazels archers were very skilled and there weren't many losses. When the valley was secured, the soldiers marched towards Vengeance. Together with numerous armies from other Retributors. Another valley was captured and the march continued. Until Retributions armies were halted at the river. The sole bridge granting passage was heavily fortified and Vengeance had been preparing it for a long siege.

The era progressed and many huge battles were fought. We had a slight advantage at first and were preparing for an assault when another front opened. Fate send 500 000 soldier to our borders. Retribution had a basic guard of 250 000 soldiers, but when they tried to escape from the overpowering enemy, they were slaughtered. The army of Fate could march straight to our core, but Retribution achieved a miracle. While the mages worked on slowing the enemy down as much as possible, Retribution gathered a bigger army in just 2 days. Every ruler had drafted to their maximum capability to withstand this threat.
This small interruption did give Vengeance a chance to reinforce their fortress even more. Days passed, months passed. the huge armies moved little. When in the end, Retribution attempted an assault, they were able to lay siege on the fortress of Vengeance, but in a desperate attempt, Vengeance broke the siege and the situation returned to its previous state. The huge armies were both send out multiple times to try and conquer the enemy, but both without success.

The Breakthrough
Then in one day, the whole war shifted in Retributions favour. The addition of Halfling Master Sloth almost doubled the size of our assault army, creating a huge advantage. But even with this massive amount of troops, it would take days before fortress of Vengeance would fall. This is where a member of the Dorian Empire, and former Retributor comes in. Knish the Great marched towards the lands of Vengeance with an army of 40 000 catapults. This massive force was only a small piece of what he actually commanded, but it was more then enough to fulfill its task. The mages of Retribution crushed the walls of the bridge fortress and the glorious army of Knish marched straight into the lands of Vengeance. This created a problem for Vengeance because they now had no way to reinforce their army defending from our hordes.
While Knish was still causing assaulting city after city, Retributions grand campaign army utterly defeated Vengeance defenders. After this victory, they could cross the river without any problems and started dividing the loot.
After a few days, scavengers were reported. Godlike Nubs, an ally of Retribution found a way to steal loot from Retribution by passing through the Lands of Fate. They conquered undefended cities of Vengeance, without ever earning the right for those cities on the battlefield. The relations between Retribution and Godlike Noobs cooled. Only the future would show if these 2 strong kingdoms would band together again.

[[PS: Ended 14th on fantasia because everything I had was concentrated on the central map, while other, stronger rulers had their power located on the other worlds.

~Chronicles of the Ildarions~

Change and continuity
The line of the Ildarions continued for another era. Hazels first-born was a very fragile boy. He wasn't good with a sword or with a bow. But he had a sharp mind and spend most of his days studying in the shade of beautiful old oak trees. Gilth was his name. As his mother, Gilth would serve under the banner of Retribution. He would not become a General or Warchief though. The council decided he would be Magelord for the upcoming battles. He would have command over hordes of spellweavers to cause havoc over whole of Fantasia. His balls of Fire would fall from the sky and burn thousands and thousands of troops to death. Incredible colds would freeze entire armies to the ground, not being able to move half a mile.

Gilth asked his mother for the hidden books of Magic. The Ildarions had studied all 10 of them before with the help of Elves, but Humans and Trolls hadn't been careful enough with these rare goods. and most of them were lost. So they had to be studied again. The first few Arts were easily reconstructed and Gilth taught his Spellweavers how to Crush Walls, Gather info on the enemy with a magical Eye in the Sky and use both Ice and Fire to hinder the enemy armies. While he had been studying and teaching, Retribution had found a first target for this era. Rebirth was a neighbouring Kingdom with some fine warriors. While most of Retributions warriors prepared their armies, Gilth and his Spellweavers travelled through safe lands and gathered in Turd Tower. A small city, but perfectly located behind Retributions line of Defence. Actually it wasn't a city, but more like a huge Magical Tower as big as 6400 houses. This Tower was able to channel all the magical energy created by the Spellweavers. because of this, Gilth could reach places further away more effectively.
He had only just settled when the first request from the leadership was brought to him. Rebirth had prepared defences inside a small but heavily fortified city. As long as the defenders had the advantage of those huge walls, it would be nearly impossible to assault the city. Therefore, Gilth was requested to magically Crush the Walls. he assembled his Spellweavers and started the incantation. One loud crack was heard miles away and a few moments later one who would listen carefully, could hear the sounds of a large battle going on. Retribution rampaged through the defenders and Rebirths force was broken. The war carried on a little longer before a peace agreement was signed.

While Retribution was fighting against Rebirth, there were rumours coming from the north. Elements, an ally of Retribution had been defeated by Revelation and Revelation was now marching against Foundation. Foundation, the second ally of Retribution, was only a few miles away from Retributions borders, meaning Revelation was coming close. Retribution gathered all their armies and after some small skirmishes, it seemed that we were able to outnumber Revelation. We pushed through and reached Revelations core, where many Warriors of Retribution plundered millions of gold and other resources. When Revelation was almost driven away from Fantasia, other enemies were spotted. The Brotherhood of the Wolf, together with Heaven and Predators had been neutral to retribution before, but now this neutrality was broken and a new war started. The armies of Retribution were more powerful then the ones the 3 enemies could assemble and Gilth's magic was mostly needed to freeze the fleeing armies, so they could be finished of. At one time, the Rulers under the banner of Heaven managed to bring together several strong armies in a merge, but they forgot to bring sufficient mages or other magical defenders and right before a grand army of Retribution charged at them in a huge battle, Gilth and his spellweavers burned thousands and thousands of the enemies soldiers to death.
Retribution was able to rid all of Fantasia of enemies and ruled the entire worlds and others with the help of Foundation.

[I did get 6th place on the HoH of last Era. Once again because my power was concentrated almost solely on Fantasia, while other more powerful rulers are ranked lower]

~Chronicles of the Ildarions~

Change of banner
During the destruction of the old world, Retributions glorious empire was destroyed. Their lands were spread out so far, that the rulers united under the black banner could not stay together. Retribution would not try and gain power in the new Era. Gilth, son of Gilth, mage of Retribution, was a young skinny boy. As his father, his skills with a sword were pathetic, but his mind was even sharper. He and some old Retributors joined a group of ancient Egyptian Gods. Abydos Returned to Fantasia.

When the new Era started, the Abydonians found themselves immediately surrounded by other kingdoms. Sarafan Knights were spotted in the north, while Chocolate and Foundation were told to be south. The west was closed by an impenetrable border, at least for now, and in the east several rulers were united to fight for the cause of Spaghetti. After a short meeting, it was decided that Abydos would go to war with Sarafan Knights, while maintaining peace with Chocolate. It didn't turn out this way though. Armies of Spaghetti immediately marched towards Abydonian cities to support their comrades fighting under the banner of Sarafan. After several months of war, Abydos negotiated a peace between Chocolate and Foundation, to ensure their survival. Alas, another enemy showed up. Fruit and Vegetables razed through the lands that previously belonged to Spaghetti, who were at a certain point, the strongest Kingdom in the world. The warriors of Abydos had been fighting all era and didn't have the economy to support another long term war. The Abydonian armies were able to defeat the Sarafan Knights, together with Chocolate and the front with Spaghetti was closed as well. But the unstoppable amount of armies send by the Vegetarians ultimately broke through our lines of defence. We were defeated. All that left us was to fight till dead and show the world that Abydos would come back, stronger then ever. To prove this last statement, Gilth rallied all the men in his small cities. 28 000 Archmages, 15 000 Riders and 10 000 ghosts were brought together with 30 000 Spellweavers. Gilth couldn't believe this many soldiers survived the wars until now. They would march out and face the enemy in multiple battles until they would finally be ...

~Chronicles of the Ildarions~

Reclaiming the throne
After Gilths final forces were destroyed in battle during the last stand of the Abydonians in Era 39, his beautiful daughter Tinzt was put on the throne during Era 40. She controlled a band of Trolls that were seen as one of the strongest armies in the whole world for almost the entire Era. But even the biggest amount of troops couldn't provide a breakthrough for Abydos against any of their enemies. Assault after assault was attempted, until in the end, Tinzt gave up in pure despair. For some reason, all defenses seemed impenetrable. Because of these failures, her son decided to not claim the throne, but instead he went to live in solitude. Almost two Eras passed before Gilthas, son of Gilthas, son of Tinzt broke the solitude when he met a Berzerker and killed it in self defence. Killing the Berzerker left him, the youngest Ildarion, once again in charge of an entire tribe. And even though the end of the Era was near, Gilthas was able to create one of the strongest empires on Mogrox with the small band of Trolls. In no time, he succeeded to train 37 000 Berzerkers, 43 000 warlords and sufficient Mages to assault nearby villages. But even this sizable force could not protect him from the ARMAGEDDON.
After these struggles, Gilth, the chosen son of Gilthas, went in search of a new Black Banner. Soon, he was contacted by Kobuskan, grand grand grand grand grand grand grand son of the great Kobuskan, fiercest warrior of Music and friend of Gilth's own ancestors. Kobuskan was currently loyal to the Banner of Phi Factor. Gilth decision was made, he would join his friend and battle all enemies on his way. Once again, Gilth would command massive armies. He would lead incredible assaults. His scouts would map entire worlds. His Mages would wreak havoc on whole nations. And his peasants would be Happy. Once again, Gilth would rule as an Ildarion.

As the era progressed, Gilths lands flourished. Soon enough, his economy would be able to support large armies. The first small bands of warriors were send to take out surrounding native inhabitants. Although small, their cities would be a valuable addition to the Ildarion Empire. After these first skirmishes, Gilth ordered the construction of Fort Ildarion, blocking the entrance to Phi territory. There was peace, untill a messanger arrived. Mavich, King of the Phi Empire, had declared war upon Insane Asylum. Gilths berzerkers marched out of his city, towards the enemy. It was a long way, and it took more then 2 months to reach the lands of the treacherous Crazy people. All this time, they had been preparing for war. This would definitely not become an easy victory.
The war went slow, cities were overrun, razed to the ground and left behind. Armies were running in circles, but Phi Empire was making progress. Crazy would be defeated.

Strong Stronger Strongest
While we were slowly advancing against Crazy, a new enemy appeared in our homelands. Fate armies came marching down from the north. The size of these armies was incredible. While Gilths armies were spread out, and totalling a number of 38 000 Berzerkers, Fire Lord Nova appeared in our territory with an army of more then 80 000 Archmages, all trained to the maximum of their potential, both in magic and in fighting. The first cities to fall into Fate hands, were those of our allies in Revelation. Nothing could be done against it, it all happened too fast. Gilth mounted defences in his most northern outpost, called Musica. He ordered the construction of walls and towers. Army after army of newly trained Berzerkers were sent to reinforce the fortress. 30 000 Berzerkers, all thirsting for blood, prepared for the coming of Nova. When his army reached the walls of Musica, Gilths men trembled with fear, row after row of enemy soldiers came marching towards them. They would never be able to defend this fortress. Messages were sent to our allies in Revelation and to the members of our own Kingdom. We had to prepare a defence fast. Gilths army was prepared for a last stand and with the courage worthy of an Ildarion, they marched out of the gates, towards the enemy, towards certain death.
Gilths forces fighting Crazy had by that time suffered heavy losses against the armies of Fight Club, an ally of Crazy, stepping in to fight Phi Empire.
When the reports of his generals reached him, Gilth ordered a head count. Only 2 673 Berzerkers were left after all these losses. It would take a while to retrain a decent army. And time was something Gilth and his allies didn't have. Army after army was reported, most of them of Elfish origin, all of them carrying the orange banner of Fate. Gilth scrambled every resource he had and put it into training more troops. Tree and food were sold, stone was made to gold by magicians and every last penny was devoted to training new troops.
