Dead Silence
01:46:07 Jun 25th 09 - Demonslayer The Confused Demon Farmer:

As the battle finally settled down, Charley began switching through his squad menu on his HuD.
"Drake, Wilson, Leiondon, and Timmons are all wounded or incapacitated.  At this rate, we won't make it through this mission," muttered Charley to himself.
"Secure the hallway! Someone get that damned power online already!" he ordered as he moved to the ladder.  He pulled a long line of cable from his waste and lowered it down the ladder.
"Makenzi, attach the cable to Timmons.  We are going to have to pull him up.  Try to climb up with him and keep his foot from hitting anything," said Charley.  Within a minute, the medic had hooked Timmons up and Charley began pulling up the wounded rifleman.  It took about five minutes, but Timmons was finally pulled up all the way and moved to a safe location in the power room.

Finally, someone turned on the power after some difficulty.  Connor had apparently returned and the battery was hooked up.
"Headquarters, this is Ernst, come in," said Charley through his radio.
"Jenson here, what is your status? We just noticed some power turning on in your area," replied the general.
"We have four men incapacitated or wounded sir.  We need either evacuation or replacements.  My team cannot continue pushing on with only four good men in combat readiness," said Charley.
"Four men? Damn...I was hoping things went better.  You need to get two levels up before we can get to you.  Marine teams are beginning their approach towards the station and there will be a temporary power outage as we need to disable any weapons systems they may have turned at us.  The ETA on those marines is about 10 minutes so just move towards the extraction point," ordered General Jenson.
"Yes sir," replied Charley as he ended the conversation.
"Alright men! We need to get to an elevator just down this hallway that leads to the city level.  We need to keep our eyes open and not split up! Do not be careless at this point! We are possibly getting out of here or just getting refitted, but no one is going to be left behind!" said Charley.

Makenzi moved over to Corporal Leiondon's side and checked him out.
"He hasn't been hit by bullets sir!" said the medic as he began going through his instruments.
"What? They were shooting non-lethal munitions at us?" asked Charley.
"It seems like it sir.  I think a shot of adrenaline should get him awake," replied the medic as he stuck a needle in the corporal's arm.
"Try the same on Wilson," ordered Charley as he knelt by Leiondon's side and waited for the soldier to revive.  Makenzi moved over to Wilson's side and stuck him with a syringe of adrenaline as well and hoped that it worked.

01:50:31 Jun 25th 09 - Mr. Travis Leiondon:

Travis woke up, his vision blurred, as he muttered, "Argh, I feel like I'm wasted..."  His shoulder still hurt after getting shot by something.

The marine rubbed his eyes, and then looked up to see a giant helmet looming over him.

"Ahhhh!" Travis yelled.

"Yeah, I think he's up," Makenzi snorted.

09:39:18 Jun 25th 09 - Sir Karzun Demonsul:

Drake limped down the corridor, a cheerful expression dawning behind his cracked visor. "I'll be alright! Whatever it was only glanced off me. Either that or..." noticing nobody else was actually wounded, he trailled off. "Non-lethal munitions, you say?"

00:47:44 Jun 26th 09 - Demonslayer The Confused Demon Farmer:

The group finally began making its way towards the elevator down the hallway.  Everyone who could walk was supporting someone else due to the number of injuries.  As the group was rounding the last corner before the elevator, it opened up suddenly and gunfire erupted.  Immediately, Connor fell to the ground under the hail of projectiles and didn't move.  A vicious firefire continued with Charley trying to drag Connor back under cover, but the body was sprayed with more gunfire until it was nothing but a bloody mess.  Corporal Stevens yelled in rage at the sight of his dead comrade and pulled two frag grenades form his side.  He then proceeded to run out into the hallway, straight at the enemies and threw them at the last moment.  His body was torn apart by gunfire while the two enemies in the elevator were blown apart as well.  The hallway was littered with blood and all sorts of gore, and it took several minutes for Charley to pull himself together.
"Oh, god...who is left?" he asked quietly.
"Leiondon, Wilson, Timmons, Drake, myself, and you sir," said Makenzi in reply.
"Two men dead, one seriously wounded, and two others shaken up...we need to get out of here fast," ordered Charley.  He quickly moved into the hallway and arrived at the elevator, which looked like it wasn't damaged at all.  Apparently the two enemies had moved away from it and it had avoided any blasts.
"Everyone in the elevator! We are getting out of here now!" said Charley.  Everyone filed into the elevator except for Connor and Stevens, who were dead and would be collected later when they could spare the manpower.  The ascent was uneventful except for the silence that hung in the air.  When the doors opened when it stopped, the marines found themselves on the city level.
"The rally point is only about two blocks away! Let's move marines!" said Charley as he started heading down the street, careful to be near cover along the sides.

00:56:32 Jun 26th 09 - Mr. Travis Leiondon:

Travis loaded his pistol and walked out the elevator.  Since his already useless rifle was blown apart in the gunfire and his grenade had already been used, he had to make do with his lesser weapons.  He ran with the others in the group to the rally point, where they would get reinforcements.  The enemy had proved more stronger than anyone had anticipated, but despite the losses, the Marines still had managed to push them back.

Still, if our luck continues, we'll only have about three men left when this is over.

21:59:52 Jun 26th 09 - Sir Karzun Demonsul:

Drake followed to the rally point, ready for combat. What were those things? he thought to himself. They were different from normal people...

17:40:07 Jun 27th 09 - Sir Santa:

Waking up in the elevator, being held standing by Medic Makenzi, it took a while before Wilson realised there group had grown smaller, again. When he saw the bloodsplatter on the suits of his comrades, he felt sick again. Knowing fainting now could mean death, he tried to pull himself together. He needed something to focus on while the elevator made its slow ascent, so he took out his rifle and started loading, unloading, loading, unloading it until they reached city level.

A few minutes later, he loaded his rifle for the last time and, upon hearing Charleys command, started walking down the street, keeping his eyes open for any enemies hidden in the shadows.

11:31:02 Jun 28th 09 - Sir Karzun Demonsul:

With no enemies in sight, Drake kept close behind Charley, making sure no more hostiles approached. Oddly, the streets were deserted.

"Where is everyone?" said Drake in confusion.

15:38:12 Jun 28th 09 - Demonslayer The Confused Demon Farmer:

"Most likely many people went inside due to the shield being broken.  Anyone outside would most likely have suffocated, but I am not seeing any bodies yet.  There is also the possibility that even the interior of the buildings would not have been safe and everyone is still inside..." said Charley as the team advanced down the street.  The only sound heard was silence.  Nothing was heard at all until Charley reached the end of the street.
"First Sergeant Ernst!" shouted a voice to his right.  Charley turned quickly and saw an airlock with about six marines standing outside of it in positions.
"The command center is inside the airlock sir.  Supplies and extra equipment are there as well with a doctor," said another marine.
"Makenzi, get Timmons in there.  If anyone else needs medical attention, I suggest you get into the airlock for quick healing.  Everyone else, refill on ammo and anything else you need," ordered Charley.  He then removed his pack and took out several weapons that he had been carrying.  They were stored in a sealed container with warning markers on it.
"I need this delivered to headquarters for analysis," said Charley as he handed it to one of the marines.
"Alright, it will be on the next transport back to the station," replied the man as he placed it into the ship connected to the station.

13:12:54 Jul 2nd 09 - Sir Santa:

Wilson made his way to the airlock, greeting the marines guarding it. He had barely fired a shot so he wasn't low on ammo, but still, an extra magazine or two wouldn't hurt. He opened one of the boxes and took out a bunch of energybars, it was time for an early lunch.

17:06:28 Jul 3rd 09 - Sir Karzun Demonsul:

Michael picked up an additional breaching charge, and two clips for his SMG. He then proceeded to the airlock door, and looked out in case they came under surprise attack.
