"Of course," says Alessia with a smile. * An average sized man walks through the mob that is Cidel. His cloak covering all but his face. In the distance the roar of crowds could be heard as King Bertilius Septim goes through town on his chariot. The man quickens his pace and then does an abrubt turn. He finds a ladder and climbs up it, soon reaching the roof. He then runs across it to see the chariot twenty feet from the end of the building. The man drew a bow and took an arrow from his quiver. He fires and the arrow flies down at Septim only to be blocked by an invisible barrier. The man turns to run, but sees Septim standing behind him. "You have obviously not researched your target, assassin, I am a mage, and a damn good one at that," says Septim before probing the man's mind. Images fly violently from the man's mind into Septim's, and Septim finds that he was hired by a man he recognizes. "Serilar," he says softly before raising his hand, with a gesture the assassin falls unconscious and guards run up to see the assassin knocked out. Septim teleports back down to the chariot and takes his wife back to the palace. * "Serilar? We banished him!" said Alessia. "I know, and now he has returned with a clan of orcs to take back what we took from him. His first plan was to kill me in order to cause confusion, then he would attack. His plan to kill me has failed, his operative captured, and now he must fight me in all out war. His army numbers around forty thousand, and he is a good tactician. This will be a long war if we can't avoid it, but I have a feeling that we can," says Septim. "How?" asks Alessia. "We do what he attempted to do to us," says Septim. The shadow then mutters a word and turns invisible. He creeps gently though the palace before reaching the King's quarters. He opens the door and rushes in to find that King Serilar is waiting with four guards. "Greetings assassin," says the King, "You seem to think that I cannot see you, but I can..." The shadow suddenly disappears, and the King looks around, startled. One of his guards quickly cuts the King's throat with a dagger while drawing his longsword. He takes one guard by surprise and parries two blows, he ducks under another while slashing out, catching a guard's midsection. He blocks a blow with his dagger while pulling the longsword from the guard's corpse, he then parries a blow and stabs the last guard in the neck. The disguised assassin then smiles before jumping out the window, he lands perfectly before running through the grounds. He makes it to the fence, performs a very high jump, grabs the top, pulls himself up, and jumps over it. 03:23:33 Sep 2nd 08 - Sir Charley Deallus: King Ernest was sitting in his room when a scout walked in with a report in his hand. He knelt and handed it to Ernest and then stood. "My king, orc armies are attacking several cities in our area, forces have been deployed around and battles are springing up everywhere. Pockets of orcs have been spotted in city areas and sporadic fighting was popping up all over the area. We are requesting any tactical advice that you may have with the information on the map that I just gave you. Finally a medium sized orc army has arrived on the plains outside the city and are preparing for battle." "It seems that the situation is worse than I thought...gather the remaining forces in the city and prepare them for battle. I will lead them to victory once again...as I did in years past." "Yes, milord." Ernest stood and went to a stand that carried all of his armor and weapons. He took his armor and put it on in place of his robes. He placed his yew longbow over his back, his elven longsword at his side, and his staff in his hand before meeting his armies at the walls. The gates opened and the army of Tasidian marched forth. 20,000 troops marched forth, bearing the banner of Tasidian in front of them. The remaining troops were scattered all around the countryside, fighting the scattered orc strike forces. The drum of Tasidian was played as that army marched in tune, towards the orc army of 20,000 that was assembled before them. King Ernest stood in front of the army, next to the banner carrier. "You have entered the lands of Tasidian with force and violence. This shall not be tolerated in my kingdom and if you do not leave now, I shall be forced to kill every last one of your troops without mercy. Quarter shall not be given!" The orc army then roared and charged towards Tasidian, and at that moment, the army of Tasidian charged forward also. The armies met and it was immediatly noticeable that even the warlike orcs were no match for the calm and battle hardened army of Tasidian. The army had trained for years and faced battle after battle without a loss. King Ernest first used his bow and fired arrow after arrow into the orc ranks. He then used his staff and fired waves of fire into the orc lines, causing heavy casualties. Finally he drew his sword and cleaved through any orc that cross his way with ease. He had fought his entire life and was more than a match for the physically superior orcs. The battle lasted only thirty minutes and the orcs were completely wiped out in the area. The army of Tasidian suffered few casualties and then it split into several groups that began heading into the countryside to clear out the remaining orc forces. King Ernest stood upon the battlefield and gazed at it with solemnity. "This field has taken many lives in the lifetime of this city. The Field of Fallen shall be it's name...for it has tasted the blood of many who have died upon this field in the many battles that have been waged here. Burn the bodies of the orcs and bury the dead warriors of Tasidian. I will go back to the castle and prepare for the next day." A small expedition outside the city walls led by Arthon found scouts to the Orcish army...and crushed them without delay. Meanwhile, Lord Tilakmen watched through Yazimar as the war unfolded.
