THE VILLAGE - THE NEW WORLD
20:50:18 Jan 22nd 09 - Lord Frost Wraith:

I'm always around... though so far havent had any reason to post :(

21:00:26 Jan 22nd 09 - Sir Hirgon Sadron:

[[I'm around, and want to keep playing this.  But honestly, the lack of activity has turned me off to it a little bit...]]

21:35:47 Jan 22nd 09 - Mr. Killer:

Alright, I'm going to take this over unless someone(or Salaracen appears again) else does by tomorrow. Does anyone mind if I take it over? I'd prefer if someone else did personally, but I will if no one else will.

21:52:04 Jan 22nd 09 - Sir Karzun Demonsul:

[[Go for it, Killer. I can't take it over, as handling what the game throws at me is my job.]]

22:38:15 Jan 22nd 09 - Mr. Electric:

19:08:29 Jan 23rd 09 - Mr. Electric:

[[OOC:I see we are..low on people now...]]

19:39:36 Jan 23rd 09 - Mr. Killer:

Please read this.

Ok, let's get this show on the road. I wasn't sure what Salaracen meant to do with the numbers of people. Now, we have 7 players, and 11 jobs. I'm changing the numbers of people each person is in charge of(100 men are left over for Demonsul to decide what to do with them. To prevent them being stuck into the best job quickly, they will need training(really sorry about this, don't know how to control it otherwise. They can't be retrained). And I'm still wondering what to do with the other dudes. Tell me if you would like an extra job(I want double jobs to be unrelated too)
I don't want Demonsul or Septim to have an extra job(sorry). I may however, merge Captain of the Guard with War Chief and Farmer with Labourer or Blacksmith or something. In fact, I sort of have to, as we're a bit short on numbers. For the moment, just tell me if you want an extra job, and if you want a certain job just say so(doesn't mean you'll get it though).

1 Septim - War chief (Commands infantry and other military captains ie Wilberforce and Hirgon, Controls 90 people)
2 Wilberforce - Head rider(Captain of Cavalry controls 50 people on horses)
3 Hirgon - Hawk eye (Commander of the archer division, Controls 40 archers)
4 Demonsul - Captain of the Vessel 'Our lady', Organizer of the colony. (The boss, commands all 1,000)
5 Wraith - Head mage(Controls 5 mages)
6 Electric - Scholars (Controls 15 people)
7 Rhade - Labourer - (Controls 350 people)
8 ? - Beastmaster (Controls 50 people)
9 ? - Farmer - (Controls 180 people)
10 ? - Captain of the Guard (Law enforcement, Controls 40 guards)
11 ? - Blacksmith (in control of 80 people)

Labourers, guards and farmers take 0 days to train.
Infantry and archers take 2 days to train.
Blacksmiths, cavalry and beastmasters take 4 days to train.
Scholars take a week to train.
Mages take two weeks to train.

Now, the population. It will increase by a certain amount every day. Demonsul will decide what jobs they get. Would you like it to be 1% or 2% of the population?(Please tell me which you would rather(anyone who cares). I'll calculate it, don't worry. This means 10 or 20 people each day roughly, unless it goes on for a fairly long time) There'll also be deaths anyway(not counting natural causes, they sort of don't matter. The population grows even with these, it's just in bad times(famine, fighting etc.) it will go down.).

Now, I'll be landing the ship soon, and then I will try to explain what each job is more specifically.

[Sorry Salaracen & players in advance for whenever I mess this up]

19:42:17 Jan 23rd 09 - Prince Valan Septim:

[[OOC: I'm fine with being the Guard Captain. As long as you don't make me War Chief and farmer, I'll be fine.

*winks*]]

00:04:02 Jan 24th 09 - Mr. Killer:

I will do the classes and stuff tomorrow. You're landing now though.

Just a recap of the levels(on level 1):
Level 1: shoreline with some open land scattered with trees, generally obstructing building sites. Some fruit/berry bushes, fishing sites along shoreline, and birds of some sorts come to feed on these sites also.

Level 2: Denser foliage, more bushes and ground based plants. Numerous small animals, with some dog sized animals, mostly non dangerous. Fruit trees, possibly many vegetables.

Level 3: wild lands, muddy, vines, very difficult to navigate through these areas without proper equipment ie machetes and good boots. Animals the size of large dogs and cows roam these areas. A few very large carnivores an herbivores wander in this area. Stinging insects. Don't bother looking for edible vegetation in these sectors.

Level 4: Wilderness, the canopy blocks out the sun and it is quite dark and moist, Swampy and can get to waist deep. Trees are somewhat spaced apart (but only enough to fit a single man with a large pack). Many large insects  live well in this area, including arm sized leeches. Very large herbivores try to spend as little time as possible in these parts, and travel in packs to make it through alive. Packs of medium sized dexterous carnivores on the other hand travel along the branches of trees and felled trees, lunging upon their prey and pulling them into the trees and using the terrain to their advantage.

Level 5: Jungle comes to an abrupt stop, these are plains on which herbivores feed in great numbers. Large and powerful carnivores are the only carnivores that dare to hunt these herbivores. Spend as little time in these places as possible, you may be trampled to death if not quick enough.

Level 6: Ruins, treasure may be within, treasure may also be hexed/cursed.
Animals stay clear away from these sites. Ruins are overgrown with plant life. Ruins vary in size from a single building to a entire city.

Level 7: Warning zones, skulls on spears and shrunken heads warn all who come this way to go back, terrain is similar to level 2

Level 8: No reports back have ever come back from these regions.

The slender vessel skimmed gracefully through the icy waters, slowly grinding to a halt as they heavy anchor touched the bottom of the shallow sea. The people aboard stared in awe at their first sight of land in near a month at sea. They poured off gratefully onto the idyllic continent of Terria, forests and mountains could be seen in the distance. A few small small birds sang sweetly, eating on worms and other such creatures, and pecking at bright red berries from the bushes. Bigger seabirds were to be seen plunging into the sea and rising with a flapping fish, some fortunate to free themselves from the grip of those ferocious talons.
The crew securely fastened the boat to the cliff, making sure it wouldn't bang into any protruding rocks. They then climbed up the rocks clifflets onto to the open area, sp*beep*ly dotted with bushes. The sun was slowly coming to the end of its journey, the sky beginning to pinken. They carefully planned out where to set up camp, and stumbled along with their meagre provisions.

Right Demonsul, you've to decide where to camp unfortunately. I suppose I better start on some maps. Everyone can make plans as to what to do in future days.(You've got enough food to last 3 more days, and you can make camp from various things around the camp. I suggest Electric studies some of those foodstuffs and birds and such. For scholars, beastmasters and the like, I don't want you to make up incredible creatures or potions or such straight away.)

00:24:31 Jan 24th 09 - Prince Valan Septim:

Septim's climb was difficult due to his bad leg, but he managed to reach the top without too much difficulty.
This is a nice place, too bad the human race has reached it...
With that thought, Septim began exploring. He wondered how Demonsul would get the horses onto land, and guessed that he would land at a different area to make the village.

10:38:30 Jan 24th 09 - Sir Karzun Demonsul:

Demonsul stared across the new land. It was more perfect than he could have thought. A brand new world, a clean slate. A chance to start over.

[[I will just start, it seems a good time to...]]

After spending a little time surveying the land on foot, Demonsul decided the location for the start of the village. He found an open space, along the coast from the landing site. It was mostly clear of trees, and looked inviting. The first zone was only narrow in any case, the second zone was only as far away as the sea. The cliffs were not here, the land reached the sea as a rolling beach.
"We will start here," he declared, and thus was the village location chosen. Only time would tell if it would be successful.

Before long, the ship had sailed up to the beach, and landed properly. The remainder of the village came out, staggering after being at sea so long. The animals could also finally come onto the shore.
Once the laborers had started work on the first meager houses ("Only until something better is available," assured the new head laborer),  Demonsul began planning what to do with this new world. First order of business was food. Demonsul ordered the beastmasters and some of the scholars into the second zone looking for as many food sources and other useful plants as possible. The remaining scholars and the farmers would remain in the first zone, looking for a place to plant the seeds that they had brought, and finding new edible plants.

16:51:08 Jan 24th 09 - Mr. Electric:

Electric walked off the ship and onto the sand when he saw under a layer of it, a shining blue thing. He dug it up and examined it, and saw it was worth at least 500$ in the homeland. He watched as 3 of his scholars talked to demonsul then walked into a shrubby area, and decided to follow them. In front of them was a small animal, no bigger than a large house cat. He picked it up and brought it back to demonsul. "Will this do as some food?" he asked.

17:03:18 Jan 24th 09 - Mr. Killer:

I'm going to explain the classes in the The Village: Information topic.

These are the new classes. If anyone wants to change to Beastmaster or take it on as an extra job, please tell me. Otherwise it'll just be a NPC.

1 Septim - War chief, Captain of the Guard (Commands infantry, guards and other military captains ie Wilberforce and Hirgon, Controls 90 infantry and 40 guards)
6 Electric - Scholar/Farmer (Controls 15 scholars, 180 farmers)
7 Rhade - Labourer/Blacksmith - (Controls 350 labourers, 80 blacksmiths)
8 ? - Beastmaster (Controls 50 beastmasters)

Stats (sorry, just to keep some sort of idea of what's going on)
Population - 1,000(exc. leaders)
Housing - Crude huts
Food - Enough for 5 days(changed my mind), not making any as of yet(sorry Demonsul, I need the farmer to make the guys go out looking for food).
Healthy - The population is healthy.
Employment - 100 unemployed(your job to give the jobs out Demonsul), 90 infantry, 40 guards, 50 cavalry, 40 archers, 5 mages, 15 scholars, 180 farmers, 350 labourers, 80 blacksmiths, 50 beastmasters.
Animals - 50 horses(cavalry)

With the dawn of a new day, the people began to worry about their food supplies. They would dwindle in but a while. But they were awestruck by the beauty of the new world they had discovered, and soon such morbid thoughts of starving disappeared. They gaped open-mouthed at the creatures of the new world they had so f*beep*en, even though they were not all that dissimiliar to ones on the mainland. The florg had disappeared, and Killer had went to look for it the night before, but mostly with the purpose to look at the new creatures of the world, but had not returned. He was nowhere to be seen. Only the beastmasters were down-hearted, the rest had not noticed he was even there. Arrangements were to be made, and there was no time to search for him.

11:57:37 Jan 25th 09 - Sir Karzun Demonsul:

Demonsul called Electric into his new hut. He had, with the help of one of the laborers, fashioned a crude desk out of one of the newly-cut trees. He was sitting on one side, and he motioned Electric to sit on the other.

"Now, Mr. Electric, you may have noticed we only have five days of food left. I need you to change this. With the unexpected disappearance of Killer, we will be unable to add meat to our stocks until a new beastmaster is chosen, so I need you to be vigilant. You task is simple; use your Scholars to identify edible plants, and then get your farmers to gather and farm them. As this is the most important objective so far, I am recruiting fifty men as farmers. They will join you, so you may work harder to ensure our survival. Do you think you can do this?"

16:59:52 Jan 25th 09 - Mr. Killer:

Stats (sorry, just to keep some sort of idea of what's going on)
Population - 1,010(1% per day)
Housing - Crude huts
Food - Enough for 4 days, not making any as of yet.
Health - The population is healthy. They're a bit fed up with the crude huts though.
Employment - 60 unemployed, 90 infantry, 40 guards, 50 cavalry, 40 archers, 5 mages, 15 scholars, 230 farmers, 350 labourers, 80 blacksmiths, 50 beastmasters.
Animals - 50 horses(cavalry)

[The milatary commanders have to catch the animals now. There is a rabbit sort of a creature to catch, but it is fast and shy. You might build traps to catch them. Also, it is Hirgon's job to scout about the place.]

With Killer gone, a young beastmaster by the name of Lanoc stepped into the role. He sat observing the birds cheerfully chirping as they swooped down on unfortunate worms. He took out his a blank log, and began scribbling at a furious pace, in a steady sloping hand.

The birds here seem to be much the same as on the mainland, but they have shorter and more curved beaks than their counterparts, perhaps as a result of having to catch slightly bigger worms and insects. As of yet, there has been no more discoveries of new animals, much to our misfortune. I also fear that we shall not get a good food supply from these small creatures, unless the people are truly starved. I feel, however, that the scholars and farmers will soon come to an arrangement. There seems to be a plentiful supply of berries, and the birds dine on these and seem fit and healthy, though this may be due to the fact that they could have been here for a great many years. Though I did notice the faint scurrying in the bushes, of a fair sized creature, perhaps akin to a rabbit or such. I feel this matter needs investigating.

17:17:35 Jan 25th 09 - Prince Valan Septim:

Septim sat in his hut, he knew that he wouldn't be a good hunter with his limp, it would just serve to make him an extra obstacle, as he would make noise and alert creatures. He had Hawk-Eye send twenty groups of two out to hunt for rabbits, the groups would consist of one footman and one archer. The footman would stomp on the ground while the archer had his bow ready. Eventually, a rabbit would run out for cover and the archer would shoot it down. The method proved somewhat effective, and the hunters returned with (Killer needs to tell me the days)(s) worth of food. Septim was angered that he couldn't go with his men, and made a note to himself to ask one of the mages if they could heal his leg.

17:24:47 Jan 25th 09 - Mr. Killer:

[2 days worth. It is a big population after all]
Lanoc looked on with sadness as the rabbit-like creatures were brought in in their scores. He realised, of course, that they had to eat, and they had lived a long and fruitful life. A few live ones were struggling, and Lanoc decided it would be best to keep the few struggling animals alive, all six of them. He was amazed at the amount of them, they must be plentiful in the extreme. He put the live ones into a crude wooden construction, and ordered the beastmasters to regularly feed them to see what they ate, and wondered how they would fare.

17:42:43 Jan 25th 09 - Prince Valan Septim:

Septim soon approached Killer.
"We have to regulate how often we hunt these creatures. I may have been a cavalry officer, but I know a bit about animals. I know that you know that if we hunt too many of these, the food chain will be disrupted and all hell will break loose. We should also work on domesticating some type of animal for either eggs or milk..." said Septim.

18:23:47 Jan 25th 09 - Sir Hirgon Sadron:

[[OOC: 40 Archers, eh?  I'm just going to use 20 for now if that's alright, because I would rather have more effective individuals than greater numbers - it makes more sense for my role.  The rest I'll pick up later, if necessary.]]

Hirgon ordered his archers to scout about, splitting them into seven groups of three, one of which he would join.  They had orders not to go to far into dangerous land, at least for now...

20:38:48 Jan 25th 09 - Mr. Electric:

Electric agreed with Demonsul on his plan. He sent his scholars out and they almost immediately found small, spicy-tasting plants. He sent his farmers out to gather them, and they came back, saying there was a huge load of them hidden behind the trees, and needed several barrels. The scholars gave them 5 barrels, and they came back 45 minutes later with all the barrels full. "We need more barrels!" they said in unison. The scholars went to get every empty barrel, and 2 hours later 10 more full barrels were added to the food supply. "Theres not much more, but this should help," said Electric.

17:06:21 Jan 26th 09 - Mr. Killer:

Stats
Population - 1,020(1% per day)
Housing - Crude huts
Food - Enough for 6 days, not making any as of yet.
Health - The population is healthy. They're even more bit fed up with the crude huts though, with nothing being done.
Employment - 70 unemployed, 90 infantry, 40 guards, 50 cavalry, 40 archers, 5 mages, 15 scholars, 230 farmers, 350 labourers, 80 blacksmiths, 50 beastmasters.
Animals - 50 horses(cavalry), 18 leppits(the rabbit-like creatures, 13 baby ones)

Hirgon and his archers travelled fairly far, just coming to an area where the bushes grow thicker(level 2). They saw nothing much of interest, except some tall trees, fruit dangling off some. A few creatures, dog-sized(a medium sized dog) meadered lazily through the bushes, picking their way carefully to avoid spiky shells of nuts which had fallen to the ground. A few could be seen with some leppits in their mouths. (you can go on further if you want)

Lanoc observed the leppits inside the box-like construction. One of the six was pregnant, and a staggering seventeen of them were born, fairly small creatures. Unfortunately, four soon died, unable to compete with the others. In the new day, he had noticed that the baby ones had grown observably, and one of the older ones had died. From this, he deduced they had a short life-span, but could not be completely sure.

20:20:16 Jan 26th 09 - Mr. Electric:

The farmers and scholars began fighting because there was nowhere for the farmers to work. "All right, then, 4 scholars work on researching better houses, and 5 work on researching crude farms with a small sun roof and a watering system. If they research correctly, Rhade's laborers should begin building them ASAP.

Electric takes 125 Farmers with him and 25 empty barrels and travel after Hirgon after a a strange man comes up to him and says that he traveled through an area of plentiful fruits, and to be careful of spiky nutshells.

20:38:14 Jan 26th 09 - Sir Wilberforce Pwner:

Wilber approaches Septim, whom had returned to his hut. "I know we haven't seen eye to eye, but I promise you on my honour that I will bring back the head of whatever you desire. Deserter, murderer or any creature that threatens our new civilization."

[[After all, we haven't spotted any enemies yet, right?]]

"I see there are some animals, cow sized roaming the muddy and viney area. I'd suggest we chop down the forests, slowly and lure these creatures out with bait. We can then use the cavalry to russtle these creatures to where we can slaughter them easily and use the meat to eat, the hide for clothing and whatever we need."

20:52:18 Jan 26th 09 - Prince Valan Septim:

[[OOC: Still not sure if there are mages here...]]

Septim looked up and gave an unnatural looking smile.
"Thank you for the offer, but we need to wait. If there are any tribes of natives, I don't want any of our army to attack. Attack them only if they attack you. Don't get me wrong, I'm not a pacifist, but I'd prefer not to have men die because some hot-headed *beep* decided to attack a friendly tribe," said Septim, "Now, I have something to attend to..."
With that, Septim got up and walked outside and through the camp to the mage quarters. He walked through into the hut and looked around.
"I was wondering if any of you are good enoug at healing to fix my leg," said Septim.

21:24:55 Jan 26th 09 - Lord Frost Wraith:

Ranraac looked up as the man limped in. He was fairly old but Ranraac recognised him from the ship. He discussed important matters a lot and seemed important, but his name eluded Wraith. Wraith motioned for the man to walk over to him. He looked at the wound and asked simply ''How did you get this?'' while Wraith looked around the hut.

It was simple and crude, but good enough for them. Wraith wasn't used to living in luxury anyway. Fali Gorha, Dirki Lon and Fellhand Stori were playing some kind of betting game on an overturned tree stump and the other two were practising their spells.

Ranraac examined the wound closer and whistled for Rimadan and Fali to come over. Rimadan and Joakim were two fairly new mages, however both were brilliant minds and Ranraac wanted them to develop their skills quickly. ''So, you two think you can fix this? And Fali, teach Rimadan what to do and oversee that he performs it correctly.''*

{{For future reference, this is how they are specialised ;p
Fali Gorha - Healing
Rimadan Mahakeem - Healing
Dirki Lon - Necromancy
Fellhand Stori - Fire
Joakim Menol - Mind

Also, sorry if you mentioned how you got that wound before... Can't be *beep*d to look it up :P}}

21:51:46 Jan 26th 09 - Sir Wilberforce Pwner:

Wilber followed Septim to the mage quaters. While he was being attended to by the Mages, he spoke quickly and unlike his usual nature, friendly.

"I'm not sure what you meant? I did not say I'd attack any friendly tribe, I said any thing you would desire killed. If I was to storm a friendly tribe, heaven forbid if there are none, it would be under your orders. I really think you should rephrase what you said to me, rather than call me hot-headed."

With that speech made and that minor victory for Wilbers pride, he returned back to his own hut to mull things over.
Where are the women?
"Wouldn't that be nice"

21:52:23 Jan 26th 09 - Prince Valan Septim:

[[OOC: I didn't, I mentioned my eye being sliced. :-P]]

"I didn't say that you were hot-headed, I said to keep the men under control. If somebody doesn't obey your orders, demote them, do something that will make them fear and respect you," said Valan, "I wasn't insulting you personally..."
Septim then turned to face the mages.
"It was durinig the war with Undelin. I was charging forward at the head of my unit to break the line when I was knocked off by a pikeman. After getting up I drew my blade and began fighting, ordering my men to form a circle. I was shot in the leg by an arrow not long after. It hurt like hell, but I blocked a few blows before grabbing it and ripping the arrow out. That was probably the most pain I've ever felt, passed out from the pain and woke up in the infirmary. Cidel didn't have many mages, and those we did have were used to fight, not to heal. After that I never really felt pain again..." said Valan.

22:16:34 Jan 26th 09 - Lord Frost Wraith:

*Wraith listened to the man's story with interest. ''I see... thats an interesting story... Glad to have someone with such experience leading such an important role'' he said trying to remember what the old man did in the community.

Wraith then nodded for Fali and Rimadan to do there jobs. They nodded in understanding and Fali began explaining to Rimadan what to do. After they were done, Rimadan gulped and muttered words in a strange, odd language and a faint blue light appeared across the scar. Wraith bent down and looked over at the scar.

''Hmm, come in once a day for the next week. The spell is weaker than normal since Rimadan is just an apprentice so his spells may be weaker. '' Then getting up and whispering into Septim's ear, Wraith continued ''I'd rather he healed you completely himself.... would boost his morale and confidence greatly''

22:28:12 Jan 26th 09 - Prince Valan Septim:

"I can handle it for a week, I've handled it for a few years now, just glad to get it healed so I can be useful off a horse again.", whispered Septim.
"The name's Valan Septim, by the way," said Septim before getting up, shaking the hands of all the mages present, nodding, and walking out the door.

22:29:50 Jan 26th 09 - Mr. Rhade:

Rhade had left the exploring of the new world, and really all matters that didn't concern building, to others.  Staying out of any politics during the restructuring of the new world government, he had focused on getting crude shelter up.  Only a few larger buildings were under construction, as he had placed most of the blacksmiths under the charge of Arthur for the construction of the new world's first forge.  The rest of the men under his control had been assigned to building homes, a good number to a couple of larger barracks to be used by the military, and the rest to crude palisades around the main camp, protecting mainly the homes.

One project that Rhade had focused his own skills on was the town centre.  After landing and meeting briefly with a few of his closer men to help draw up plans for the main camp, he had decided to center the homes around a single, larger building where the council could hold their private meetings, as well as use to hold town hall style meetings to inform the people of any major events.  If this new world was to follow any kind of leadership, that leader would have to show himself to be just that.  Only the foundation had been laid thus far, and Rhade entered Demonsul's hut to pitch the idea to him.

After explaining his vision, Rhade leaned back and paused.

"It's up to you what you want this building to be, right now it's nothing.&nb*beep*ess hall, a marketplace or normal gathering place, the foundation was laid to accommodate anything, really.  It is my opinion that we build it with these meetings in place, otherwise your governence will run on rumours and word of mouth."

22:46:29 Jan 26th 09 - Sir Hirgon Sadron:

[[Insert this before Electric's post.  ;-)]]

"Dale, return to the village and guide the Head of Farmers to this area.  The fruit is edible, and the labourers could possibly clear some of the trees for farm land."  The "strange man" returns to the settlement to tell Electric.

Hirgon reorganizes the archers into five groups of four.  "Alright men.  We're going to continue onward, and explore this new territory.  Be sure you've got three days rations for each man, just in case.  This is a woodsman's task, so the groups will be led by Will, Alan, Donovan, Artemis, and myself.  We will explore in five different directions; continue onward for a half a day, and then return to this spot before sundown.  Sometime we'll get around to going deeper into the territory, but for now, we'll best serve the colony by staying close."

[[OOC: Would it be possible to map the territory as it is explored?  If there are no maps being drawn yet, that's fine, but it would be nice to get a general idea of what progress has been made, and make it easier to roleplay, as well as plan where to go next.]]

23:55:53 Jan 26th 09 - Mr. Killer:

[Alright, I shall work on a map*sighs*. One for the general area of where the people are staying, and one for the continent as it is explored.]

04:09:21 Jan 27th 09 - Mr. Stickman:

[[ If you need anyone to fill a deserted position, or need someone to control a neighboring tribe, im lonely ;p]]

22:24:00 Jan 27th 09 - Mr. Killer:

[Stickman, you can take over the job as beastmsater. I'll continue describing animals with Lanoc, and you can decide what to do with the animals then, if you want. You can make up some animals if you so wish, but please don't go overboard, at least not until later levels are reached.]

Stats
Population - 1,020(1% per day)
Buildings - Crude huts, timber cabins(be more specific in future Rhade please, I'm just making a guess as to what they're made of. I'll only mention the finished constructions).
Food - Enough for 7 days, not making any as of yet(they'll start eating more once the colony is doing fairly well).
Health - The population is healthy. Some are fed up being unemployed[Where is Demonsul?].
Employment - 80 unemployed, 90 infantry, 40 guards, 50 cavalry, 40 archers, 5 mages, 15 scholars, 230 farmers, 350 labourers, 80 blacksmiths, 50 beastmasters.
Animals - 51 horses(cavalry, 1 baby), 18 leppits(the rabbit-like creatures, 13 juvenille ones)

Electric outlies his plans to his fellow scholars, and they research into it. They are, however, baffled as to how to get a massive glass roof over a farm, even if small. The watering system is slightly less confusing, and one comes up with a method to water the ground with various wooden pipes, carefully measured and cut to spread the water. However, for such a large area it would just be encumbersome and pretty much useless. They do however, successfully research into how to build timber cabins, and Rhade's men begin working on them.

23:41:16 Jan 27th 09 - Mr. Killer:

[I tried to make a map from Salaracen's one, but it didn't... work... The result was messy, to say the least. So, I shall have to make another map, sorry.]

01:15:58 Jan 28th 09 - Prince Valan Septim:

[[OOC: Demonsul is a tad bit inactive. o.O

He sent me a message about werewolf though, so he isn't gone.]]

19:44:03 Jan 28th 09 - Sir Karzun Demonsul:

"Whatyasfadaba!?" Demonsul leapt from his bed. "Oh god, what a nightmare," he said, "it was as if I wasn't even there."

After a while, Demonsul returned to is duty as leader. A new beastmaster had taken over (nothing new there) and more things were being constructed. Demonsul assigned the leftover population to builders o help with the new cabins.

Since you dudes don't seem to be doing anything, I shall give you a challenge.

Lanoc observed tiny creatures coming from the ground. Thousands came, disappearing soon with food. Screams were heard from every which way, but Lanoc sat calmly, fascinated with the tiny creatures. He took out his log, drew a quick diagram and begun writing.

The Rilp.
This is a strange-looking tiny creature, a single eye peers up from its grounded position, a long snout pertrudes from its flat skull. Its body is long and flat, and it has two tails. I am unsure as to why this is. It also has powerful claws, capable of digging deep into the dirt, at least in great numbers. Their eye is too big for its stomach it seems, they can eat a great quantity of food considering their size. I hope to find out more details about this fascinating creature. I fear however, that the people will be angry with the amount of food stolen.

The leaders were worried about his sudden plague of Rilps, and decided something must be done. But what?

00:13:19 Jan 29th 09 - Prince Valan Septim:

Septim soon approached Demonsul with a solution.
"Back in Cidel, we used this stuff called concrete for our buildings and pillars. It was strong, really strong. I suggest that we use concrete foundations on our food warehouses. That'll prevent 'em from coming up through there..." said Septim.
The mages had done a decent job so far on his leg, and the limp was a lot better. He was able to move faster, and his leg was a little more flexible.

01:38:48 Jan 29th 09 - Mr. Electric:

Electric runs up to Septim, taking the formula and running away. He asks two scholars two study it, and 7 to think about making a medium-sized reserve pond, with pipes from the lake, and to have a small gate on the opposite end from the pipes, with a dug down farm in front of thre gate. When the crops planted there start to dry up, they pull up the gate with ropes and let the water fill up the farm with water.

07:11:59 Jan 29th 09 - Prince Valan Septim:

[[OOC: Yeah, because everybody carries the formula for concrete in their pocket. XD]]

16:13:27 Jan 29th 09 - Sir Wilberforce Pwner:

[[ROFL. Two parts sand, one part water, one part gravel. Thats a crude concrete... I don't even know if thats real, just sounds right :P]]

Wilber, had seen the birth of the baby Horse. It had been a difficult job, but with the experience some of the soldiers had with horses, they could deliever the baby with as little emotional or physical damage possible to both the baby and the mother.
It was male, powerful and large even from birth. It will be a mighty Stallion. When it is old enough, I may use it as my own War Charger.

Wilber then continues with his daily chores, checking the horses and soldiers. Examining their kit and riding the horses, allowing them excercise.
Once this routine check has been finished, Wilber approaches Hirgon.
"I have cavalry, if needs be we can set up a scout party, one cavarlyman + and one archer, one horse each and send them in each direction. I'm sure we can make a further distance on horseback than we would do on foot."
