Three Kingdoms
17:36:15 May 5th 07 - Sir Mac:

"Greetings Raidel. Put that sword away. I knew who you were because I have heard tell of your tales, and upon seeing you in the city, I imediately recognized that it was you. I am Mac lij Rugen, and this is my warhorse Holowan. My friend Qymaen jai Sheelal and his warhorse. If Qymaen does not give an interesting conversation it is because he is recovering froma poisoning. Holowan is the talking horse you laugh so much at. He breaths fire and has some basic magic skills so don't anger him."
Walks over towards Holowan.
I can't see what he has against talking horses...

18:00:06 May 5th 07 - Duke Erunion Telcontar:

"Say yana Holowan. Ilya tuneska caribar. Esca rotania caribar Silacetan? Hello, Raidel. Oh brilliant! Somebodys leaving the town with orcs on his tail! Dark Elf, where's my bow? Well? Oh blood and ashes! Don't tell me you lost it! Bah!"
With a great deal of annoyance painted on his face, Erunion Stands up, stiff and sore, but still powerful. A volley of minor explosions takes care of the orcs, and the healer started coming towards them.
"Holowan, I asked you a question. Esca rotania caribar Silacetan?"

18:07:18 May 5th 07 - Mr. Atreides:

Seeing a lone rider charging towards the camp, Vorian drew his weapon. However, he soon realized that the man was being chased down by about 10 orcs.
"Damn it! Orcs! We will have to kill these and keep moving, you're petty squabbles can wait.  If these 10 can find us, there must be a lot more nearby."
Hearing this, the small party decided what Vorian said made sense, and charged upon the 10 orcs. Vorian saw the orc coming towards him, and threw his knife. It hit the orc in the neck knocking it of it's horse.
Senturu, standing in the path of one of the orcs, swung his sword and slashed the horse which fell down dead. He then impaled the orc before it could get up.
Erunion, although still recovering from his wounds, drew his bow and struck down an orc that was coming on Vorian from behind. I guess we're even now.

Raidel slew an orc with speed that Vorian had never seen before. Raidel charged his horse at an approaching orc, quickly dodged its attack, and stabbed it through the heart from behind.
Mac and Holowan made an interesting pair. They used magic with great skill and controlled their element of fire admirably. Still, Vorian couldn't help but chuckle too see a horse breathing fire..
The last orc was coming down on the rider that Vorian had originally seen. Vorian rushed to try and save the rider as he seemed unarmed. However, he was much too far to reach in time. However, just as the orc was coming on him, the rider drew a green potion and threw it into the face of the charging orc. The orc was knocked down, and it could be seen that for the few seconds it lived, it was in great pain.

20:52:34 May 5th 07 - Lord Senturu:

"Aye, i agree its time we get out of here." Senturu said while wiping off his sword.

21:20:19 May 5th 07 - Sir Mac:

"Yes I am related Erunion." said Holowan.

"What do you propose we do?" asked Mac

00:50:06 May 6th 07 - Mr. Sorank Seloc:

"Thanks guys I owe you one." panted Seloc "I'm Seloc nice to meat you."

00:53:02 May 6th 07 - Mr. Atreides:

(oops! lol, I just realized after all this time that Erunion posted while I was typing that...damn...makes me feel dumb now......)

01:13:32 May 6th 07 - Duke Erunion Telcontar:

OOC: Your part there works better. Yours'll be mainline, eh?

IC.

"Thank you for finally telling me where my bow was, but what is your name?"

04:51:39 May 6th 07 - Mr. Atreides:

"Oh yes. We haven't been properly introduced have we...my name is Vorian, Vorian Atreides. So, hello Seloc. I see you have had a close run in with the orcs...do you know how far away the main army is? I'm assuming they're pretty close. We should keep moving now. Those of us without mounts can use the horses that survived the battle. Erunion, do you think you can ride?"

07:38:50 May 6th 07 - Sir Rhade:

Raidel walked up to Mac and, looked him up and down, then nodded.  "Alright, I'll forget this for now," Raidel said, then whispered to him alone, "But if you know who I am and what I do, it begs the question on who -you- are and what -you- do.  We'll talk later."

He then remounted his horse and looked back to the city.  It was now smoldering, though the army was still busy set about to pillaging it to the ground.

Why stick around, why not move on immediately?  The town is already wrecked, if they wanted to burn it down, they could just have those khaz trample it.  They must be looking for something....

"There's a relatively large desert between here and the next city, but the good news is that it is much larger and may actually have a chance for defense if we can get there in time.  I know of an oasis on the way that we can rest at, that is if you all feel like coming and fighting that army again."

With that Raidel began trotting east again, keeping the pace slow until everyone was mounted, either on their own horse or one stolen from the deceased orcs, and ready to go.

Wait, why am I leading these men?  I doubt this is why I was sent here.

08:05:32 May 6th 07 - Lord Senturu:

Sheathing his sword Senturu snared the reigns of a horse that belonged to one of the Orcs. Mounting he started after the strange man. "well. friend i dont know your name. do you mind giving it? Im Senturu."

12:26:25 May 6th 07 - Mr. Sorank Seloc:

"last I saw of the army was they were still at the village, i was sort of in a hurry mind you, so i could be wrong." Seloc announced to Vorian. Seeing the party was moving of regained his breath, and not having dismounted set his horse off at a slow trot.

16:53:03 May 6th 07 - Mr. Atreides:

Can I trust that man?? Hmmm....well, at this point, there really is nowhere else I can go. I will just have to follow him and hope for the best...
Vorian mounted a horse stolen from one of the deceased orcs and set out behind the man.

23:29:45 May 6th 07 - Duke Erunion Telcontar:

"Nice to meet you Vorian. Be careful of using your name, it's not too popular where were going.... There's a small matter of a record. Do you happen to know another dark elf named Heskaltrotan?" This young human whelp here seems to have the right idea, might as well see where he leads me...
"I'll cross with you, I have a score to settle with those blasted orcs. Anyone know where the rest of the militia are? Or did they all scatter when the dragon came? So far all I see are these two... And Vorian, don't worry about me. I'm a Naergothrendarin, and don't have to worry much about riding.... Our training tends to take the need for horses away from us, except for the heavy and light cavalry, they are for the injured and for packs. Seloc, do you have a vial of Hestaltor and Crean?"
After saying these things, Erunion began to flicker again, and when he stopped, he was wearing sand coloured clothes, with a clothe wrapped around him. About his person were the tell-tale signs of throwing daggers. Lots of them.

02:12:23 May 7th 07 - Sir Mac:

"Very well lead on."

I wonder if he can be trusted....

02:26:11 May 7th 07 - Duke Erunion Telcontar:

(OOC) Error in type. Segment: "with a clothe wrapped around him". Correct statement: "With a cloth wrapped around his head, to guard against the sun."

03:51:45 May 7th 07 - Lord Senturu:

Fingering the arrow shaft still sticking of his shoulder. "hey, can anyone remove this arrow for me?" Senturu. asked. its getting annoying when the horse is bouncing.

11:17:14 May 7th 07 - Mr. Sorank Seloc:

"Got one here" wiping out a vial from a bag, and tossing it lightly to the duke, who catches it without hesitation. "As for arrows come here." seloc dismounts and walks over to the wounded man. "Hmmm, a barbed arrow....This won't be very fun for you, here drink this." , Seloc takes out a flask (OMG not a vial) and hands it to ????. "and you are?"
  "Senturu."
"drink it." without a word senturu drinks it.
"wasss is it...." senturu asked in a drunken stutter.
"Pure Alcohol, think of it as beer. really really strong beer." And without another word Seloc grabs the arrow and yanks it out, The arrow shaft came out after the third heave. Then took out a knife and started digging out the shoulder, and with a neat flick of the wrist, the arrow head rolled out. Finally taking some green glue smottered it over the bleeding wound and bandaged the arm. All the while Senturu abivious to what going on, singing at the top of his voice.
"Tha legsss an horss go sup and drown." (to the wheels on a bus tune).

16:19:09 May 7th 07 - Sir Mac:

"Well, my friend and I are on our way somewhere so unless there is something more important, we will be on our way."

Maybe someone will give me some answers now....

18:01:28 May 7th 07 - Duke Erunion Telcontar:

"Thanks healer, I've always found that mixture sovereign for pain and stiff joints. An interesting idea that, pulling it out front, often with barbed arrows you must push the arrow out the back to avoid tearing, but that could cause more damage in some cases."

"Raidel, what exactly are you doing here?"

21:20:45 May 7th 07 - Lord Senturu:

Looking over to the Elf. "I Thinks yousss Ssulldd geve urrselv Sum Fun". Senturu then passes out on the horse.

16:44:19 May 8th 07 - Sir Mac:

"Mac, Qymaen should rest for another day before we go." Holowan stated.
"Fine we will stay here for the night but tomorrow we leave." replied Mac

"Anyone for some food?"

17:09:30 May 8th 07 - Mr. Sorank Seloc:

"Ah yes but this wasn't some cases, my friend. But i shall keep that in mind if you ever obtain an arrow wound, for now i'll stick with my way. As for food" *belly grumble's* "better to die on a full belly than an empty one I think. I'm cooking mind you......". Taking out his frying pan, and some herbs, along with some eggs, a vial, tinder and wood (that rucksack holds everything). Seloc set about making a fire, useing his unlimited supply of cooking oil as lighter fluid (knew that ability would come in handy).

18:07:47 May 8th 07 - Duke Erunion Telcontar:

"You seem to have a lot of cooking oil, did some twisted mage enchant you or something? A mad one maybe? If an arrow is put in say, your thigh or your upper arm, or slanted out from your abdominals, you'll want to pu*beep* out. If it's near organs, the way you used is more effective, that way you don't pu*beep* through your liver.... If you pull it out of muscle however, that guys going to have serious problems for a few months. Such as his muscle being half torn out. I've always called that serious."

"I am, however quite fine with your cooking. Nine or so thousand years, and I still am outcooked by a raw recruit."

18:58:56 May 8th 07 - Sir Mac:

"Thanks for the offer, but I think I will stick with my fruit."
Pulls out some fruit gives some to Qymaen and eats some. Then he gives Holowan and Grievous some sort of food.

"Well you all know who we are, but who are all of you?

21:39:38 May 8th 07 - Duke Erunion Telcontar:

"I am Lord Erunion Telcontar, Lord of the Telcontar province of the Duchy of Naergothrendar. I think. My memory was, err, damaged at Teralagon, this is what I have discovered in the last few years, and what I have remembered."

22:41:04 May 8th 07 - Lord Senturu:

uhh..bacon guy....why'd you do that?

05:28:49 May 12th 07 - Lord Senturu:

Senturu wakes up still on his Horse, "uhhh. my head hurts like crazy...Bloody Elf"

06:55:19 May 12th 07 - Mr. Paracelzus:

Out into the distance a faint and fair voice is heard. Under the blazing sun a faint rider is made out on a gleaming horse slowly troding twards a group of men.

I sang of leaves of leaves of gold, and leaves of gold there grew:

Of wind I sang, a wind there came and in the branches blew.

Beyond the Sun, Beyond the Moon, the foam was on the Sea.

And by the strand of Ilmarin there grew a golden Tree.

Beneath the stars of Ever-eve in Eldamar it shone, In eldamar beside the walls of Elven Tirion.

There long the golden leaves have grown upon the branching ye*beep*M>

While here beyond the Sundering Seas now fall the Elven-te*beep*M>

O Lorien! The Winter comes, the bare and leafless Day;

The leaves are falling in the stream, the River flows away.

O Lorien Too long I have dwelt upon this loansome Shore

And in a fading crown have twined the golden elanor.

But if of ships I now should sing, what ship would come to me,

What ship would bear me ever back across so wide a Sea?

Ending the song the rider drew upon this company. The men startled, jumped up, drew their wepons and pointed it at the rider. Raidel Told them to lower their swords, he noticed this rider. The rider started to chant a poem that he wrote himself.

No might of men can ever compare,

To the words of wise men, thoughtful, with care.

Wars have been fought, many men have died,

But men of wise, have identified:

Men so brave, and sympathized,

By war, bloody war, who would care for such fearsome war?

Men of old, with their lore,

Killed many men, of family poor,

Who would want such fearsome war?

Men lusting for curiosity,

Who studied things of mystery,

Sought to find, this cursed history,

And with this history, brought thoughts of misery,

With yearning to kill, with sword and shield.

Came bloody war cries.

There came tears, there came the poor,

Thus, the blind and the war,

Came Countrymen, old blind and poor,

To the door, of hells gate they moored.

Hello my tavern friends! Paracelzus raised his voice. It is me paracelzus, I met you all at the tavern. O, well if it isn't the elf who I offered a rid, but didn't except it. Hello my friend, I should hope that you are my friend. Paracelzus dismounted and walked toward the company. Everyone started to relax when Paracelzus rencountered events concerning Raidel.

16:16:09 May 12th 07 - Duke Erunion Telcontar:

"So, if it isn't out poet. What took you so long to get here? We've been having a merry party here, right whelp??"

16:45:30 May 12th 07 - Mr. Paracelzus:

After seting his horse by the rest of the group Paracelzus sits down by the fire. I am very sorry, I was... delayed. As you all know, the orcs started to burn the city. I had been resting my men and me while the fighting was going on. Once I got back to the vilage my men disasembled and said that they were going to go to the gate and help defened once they got somthing to eat and drink.

Well, while I was feeding my horses, I heard a large screetching sound in the sky. Looking up I saw a huge dragon dive down to the ground a few times. I raced up to the battlments of the wall structure and yelled out orderes to the archers and men there. Runing the langth of the wall yelling "get down! shoot the dragon! get down!" I finaly disided that my help was needed elsewhere.

I got down the stairs and found the 20 men were holding the city gate. I ran toward the gate wispering spells under my breath. The gates healed right then, filling every splinter and crack. It was not anough, one of the dragons ramed his tail into the gate. It broke through sending men flying. I rushed back to the stables to ready my gear and horse.

I jumped on the horse and rode toward the gate once more. pulling out my bow I spoke to it once more. Letting the arrow and string go while ridding my horse I drew back. The arrow flew true, it stuck the dragon in the eye, peircing the brain it fell dead. The city was in runins, I knew I could help no longer so I fled to the east gat.

Finally I got there, I asked the guard to let me through, and I also asked where the next outlying village stands. The guared pointed in the direction of this dessert. I asked the guard for some suplies, loathfuly he finaly sold me some.

I rode out the gate to meet you. So i hope that satifies anyone here for story telling. And rest asured it was all true.

Paracelzus grabed one of mac's fruits and gave it to the horse, Paracelzus took some for himself and ate it. Sorry there chap for the fruit. Ill repay you latter.

18:26:49 May 12th 07 - Mr. Atreides:

Well, I'm glad to see a new face. Actually, you're all new faces to me...ah well. I guess you'll just have to come along with us and see where Raidel leads us to.

18:31:47 May 12th 07 - Mr. Sorank Seloc:

Seloc took out his knife and started flipping his eggs on to the silver ware he had just recently produced from his bag. The toast was ready to he put this on a larger plate in the middle of the group, and started to repeat this process.
"Well i was half expecting you recite your story in the form of a poem."

20:59:27 May 12th 07 - Mr. Paracelzus:

I get very thoughtful somtimes...

01:33:06 May 13th 07 - Sir Raidel:

Raidel rode on slowly, at a pace that would allow those who were still getting ready when he left a chance to catch up.  He had generally ignored any attempt to talk to him, relatively deep in thought.  As he rode he unrolled a small parchment that he had recently discovered tucked into his pocket.

"Proceed to Illian, the elven city across the desert.  There is a small oasis along the way you may rest, and where you will also find some compensation.  Be wary, however, of the creatures of this desert."

Raidel kept riding and tucked the note into his boot.  If there was more money involved, and a chance to find out a little more about where that army had come from, then he was up for it.

02:17:07 May 13th 07 - Lord Senturu:

Noticing Raidel stick a note into his Boot, Senturu rode closer to Raidel. "How far is this Oasis?" Senturu asked.

Looking over his Shoulder Raidel spoke. "we are still a ways from the Oasis."

11:10:19 May 13th 07 - Mr. Sorank Seloc:

Noticeing everyone starting to move on, seloc quickly packed away his stuff. Either eating or giving away the left over food. He mounted his stolen horse and set of after the forward riders.

16:26:41 May 13th 07 - Duke Erunion Telcontar:

"Thanks for the toast, healer, but no eggs. Were leaving now? Illian is it? Thought you'd want to hit Toragan, but that's your choice. Illians as good as any to me."

Thought he'd strike out for Toragan, it's closer. Why Illian? Well, I haven't seen the place in, oh, thirty years? About that.

With those thoughts running through his head, Erunion set out to jog beside Raidels horse.

"Can't we move any faster? Or do these blasted horses lack the endurance? Bah! Healer, you wont be able to heal anything ever again after an hour out here without a hat, put one on!"

16:40:53 May 13th 07 - Sir Mac:

Still trying to keep his friend upright on his horse Mac leads his small group quickly towards his new aquaintinces.

20:14:45 May 13th 07 - Mr. Sorank Seloc:

Seloc pulls out a hat from his bag, it was white, and clashed terribly with his robes. Never the less he put it on.
   "Urgh what...?"
taking it off his head, he pulled a giant live white fluffy rabbit from it and put it back in his bag, checking the hat was empty this time he put it on his head.
"If you continue calling me healer I may have to call you moaner, the name's Seloc."

22:25:39 May 13th 07 - Duke Erunion Telcontar:

"Good to meet you Healer, err, Seloc. Names Erunion."

22:33:09 May 13th 07 - Mr. Paracelzus:

Well, since everyones here, lets talk about personal lives. Lets get to know each other. What about you Erunion? Where are you from, and what are you doing here?

18:18:49 May 14th 07 - Duke Erunion Telcontar:

Hearing Paracelzus, he replied, "I am Lord Erunion Telcontar, of a middling house in the Naergothrendarin nobility. Not that there is much of the nobility left, most of us died at Teralagon, during the fall of Naegothrendar. We were betrayed by a dark elf, who was our contact with the rebels."

Voice bitter with memory, and eyes lost in the past, he continued. "He said that they needed reinforcements, so we sent ten of our finest Legions. With half our standing army gone, the empire struck, their armies filled to the brim with orc mercenarys. We retreated blood-soaked mile by blood-soaked mile, every pace bitterly contested. In the end we ordered the milita to take the civilians and evacuate the Duchy. Then Teralagon. We were sorrounded by the enemy, and fought, in shifts, for two weeks. Two weeks we held them at bay, our pike wall never faltering. Then they struck with all their might, and with a corps of reinforcements. We were overwhelmed, and I was struck in the head by a spell I barely managed to slow. With that blow most of my memory went. Ever since then, I've been hunting the traitor. That is what I will tell you. How about you, my fine feathered friend?"

04:55:24 May 15th 07 - Mr. Paracelzus:

Well, I can tell you a bit of my past. I dont really remember alot since I was 14. During the raign of Jorthri, I lived with my father. He was a kind old man, just past his 40s. He lived on a farm and was brought up by parents I have no earthly idea who they were. My perants never told me what there past was. Just simple lies, which I knew they were. I had been trained in the arts of combat from my father.

He was a master in archery and combat. I was trained in both. And once I was 14 my father considered me a expert. He said one evening while I sat on a tree stump wittling a stick into a yew bow, that I had one last test. I asure you that I was famished of test, of all sorts. He said in an old and wise voice. That I was to travel to lorian, a city of elves.

While on my road, which my father disctriptingly pointed out. I came across a old man siting on a field of grass that grew beside the forest road. I came to him asking directions on which way to take to lorian. He said that if I found somthing for him he would be glade to show me the way.

He told me of a lost friend of his, his name was Perwigine. I thought that an odd name, but never the less took it into conserdation. The old man said that he last saw him on a farm, a few steps away. And that he wears a old blue looking coat of some sort. Well, I spent some vauluble hours looking for him. It turned out that the man and the farm figured out to be a few miles rather then a few steps.

Ever since then I thought to just walk away from that old man, never to talk to him again. Such was my urge to turn back and follow on the road intill I bumped into somone more kindly to tell me the way. I finaly arived at the farm, such a drerie place it was. Spider webs coated the farm house as I got nearer to it. Steping up to the door I knocked. There was no answer. I opened it and peeked in. It was dark and ransom, humileating at the same time. In a corner was a faint light infront of a chair that stood propt up, hinging the a door that was behind the chair.

The door jingled, and shaked. I stepped through the threshold. Calling out if anyone was residing here, the door shock some more. A faint moan crept from the door cracks, chilling my bones. I removed the chair qwickly and oppened the door, from what I saw non can tell the horrer of it. Upon the floor a man curlled up on the floor, blood spilled on the floor. Most of it already dried. I shreeked with fright and jumped back. Just in time too, a arrows wized past the door way and hit the other wall with a thud. I pulled out my sword and out from the showdowy door way sprang a wearwolf.

He sprang at me, head first, sword getting ready to extened the fattle blow. I jumped to the side and swung the sword around. It sliced his head off. He fell on the floor lifless. I ran back to the man and helped him to his feet. Carring him to the door way, I gave him a drink from a well I found around a corner of the house.

He said thanks, and that was the last words I ever heard from his mouth. Carring the fainted body of Perwigine, I came upon the old man again. He cried in suprise and shock. Seeing his suposedly friend, he ran to me and helped me cary him to the grass field. The old man laid him on the road and told him that lying on the grass beside him was a string of elf hair and five little blue beeds. He said that for saving his brother and surviving the attack I gladly deserved it.

What amazed me when I grabed the string and beeds all the grass turned to my atention. Giving his directions I went to the road on which the Lorian city dwelt. He said that the elves there will show me what to do with those beeds and hair.

With that long speach Paracelzus took out his canteen and drank some water. I will tell you the rest of the story tomarow, I am getting tiered. With that Paracelzus droped his head on his horses sholder.

17:06:07 May 15th 07 - Sir Mac:

I am afraid that I cannot reveal our tale now as it is such a secret that if the wrong person knew we would probably be dead in less than a day.

18:28:16 May 15th 07 - Duke Erunion Telcontar:

"I doubt that Mac, considering the fact that we are in the middle of this forsaken desert.... Paracelzus, an interesting tale. Was the old man named Tentoragan? I advised him to be careful about giving that away, but he said he didn't want it anymore..."

18:36:40 May 15th 07 - Mr. Paracelzus:

You must be mistaken, how do you think that that old man was Tentoragan? He never said anything, about his name and his wearabouts. Of corse, I dont know who Tentoragan is. And I doubt I will ever see him again, I will countinue my story in a bit. Probably when we camp again.

With that said Paracelzus sat back on his saddle and rode off into the distance.

I will scout out a good place to camp! Paracelzus shouted out as he rode away.

19:35:31 May 15th 07 - Mr. Naerey:

NaeRey watches a flock of black ravens fly by, and as he looks around, he whispers to himslef "Ah, a battle is soon to come...". He then goes back to his little tent on the tall greysome tree...

19:58:11 May 15th 07 - Sir Raidel:

Raidel slows as he noticese a small watering hole at the edge of the forest.

"From here on out it's pure desert, can't quite remember the name at this time, I'm not usually in this part of the world."

Raidel dismounted, downed his two canteens then refilled them, "Drink up, then fill everything you've got.  This is the last water we'll be seeing until the oasis, we should get there sometime tonight."

He mounted again, then waited patiently for everyone to finish before taking off at a brisker pace.

21:47:53 May 15th 07 - Lord Senturu:

Senturu grabbed his waterskin and walked over to the water, filling his waterskin and putting a stopper on it. Senturu looked around and began to walk over to his horse and remount.
