 ok, covered this before, it IS possible to play dwarf, but the other races are way easier. Just like I could learn to fight Mike Tyson with a plastic fork, but it'd be dam hard.

about 7 era's ago Dwarf were the best race ever!!! The top 10 were always 7 dwarfs minimum!

Well, I honestly don't think Zeta put a whole lot of thought into how he "balanced" dwarves. Making thier buildings cost 50% more took away the only edge they had, economy. Thier military units cost more; but that's because Dwarves produce more gold from mines and thier mining science was on par with humans (who have the cheapest of EVERY science)

Of course dwarves were usually almost all of the top 10; the top 10 is usually full of farmers; and dwarves excel at that. Basically; now Dwarves and Trolls have NOTHING to make them desirable. A few eras ago, 90% of players chose Dwarf becuase they has such an economic advantage that they conversely were the best military.

Now, Orc is usually viewed as the de-facto military choice due to Nazgul providing a good cost / OP value and low upkeep; thus most players select them. Halfling is usually chosen for their inflated point value, so they are chosen for those who want an era win. Elfs are chosen because most people are *beep*s and think that thier magic science is cheaper then Human, and Archmages make up for not having any or high military science. Humans are chosen because thier magic science is the same cost as Elfs, and they have the ability to StG all era long. Trolls and Dwarfs are chosen because the- because they- errr I dont know why people would choose them now!

in era 30(which is 7 eras ago) the top ten were all dwarfs and in the top 30 there was only one human and one halfling

ORC > Halfling > Human >= Elf > Dwarf > Troll

 this list is all jacked up.... dwarf is definitely on the bottom, at least in a military chart.   I know dwarfs were overpowered, but their punishment was to severe, most (if not all) fantasia kingdoms will not let any dwarfs into their kd. Trolls aren't that great, but they can pump zerkers towards the end of the era, and they're still alot better than dwarfs... I've known some people that could play troll pretty well.


+2 op on axemen, and a little break on builing costs, that's all we need :(
