I'm not too sure about playing minors. We tried that once, I seem to remember, and I think a couple of us were killed off within 15 minutes.

What about Age of Imperialism? It runs potentially from 1337 to 1913, and I found a working download link for it. I haven't played it in a long time, though, so no idea how viable it would be for MP.

Or how about the Medieval World 2, on some new map as well? I haven't even downloaded this one yet, let alone tried it, but I'm looking at all options now. I like our games on ryokens, but it's true that they usually go the same way...

Alternatively, there's always Interregnum.. that mod does have some balance issues though, mainly related to colonization and how profitable it is or isn't. There's quite a selection of nations, though, so who knows.

What does that mean? :S There are no files without a folder in the download.

And the "do not overwrite folders, only files!!" thing seems weird. All you do either way is overwrite files anyway, I think?

I don't really care about the mods/scen tbh. The whole "repetiveness" nature comes from our diplomacy, and not what nations are available, imo.


Choose a mod/scen, outline the countries, lets get picking. :))))

If you change some of the options, it's a crash. If that's not the problem, are you playing with version 1.09? 

Only option I changed was speed.  I'd prefer more people try out this mod before multiplayer to make sure it's going to work without crashing a fair bit.  Also, I'm using 1.09.

I've only played it for a few months too with no crashes yet. Maybe clean install the game again, then go through Ghoumas steps again Rhade?

Besides that, I do like the look of it, Ghouma.

Have you been able to get a hold of Tob, Nimoink? To see what he thinks, if he's going to play?

So if we're playing UMP, which scenario?  FAL or the UMP grand campaign or what?  Can't seem to get FAL 1492 loading without crashing.

How are the countries going to be assigned? Randomly, or picked?

Ofc I'm in(if we find a night that works for me).

Also I have 2 friends who would like to join in(again depending on if it works for them). On a scale from 1-5 I would grade them lvl2 and lvl3(they lack experience of playing MP).

Skip France and Spain, add burgundy and add Aragon. Remove Austria add Hungary and Bavaria. And remove OE, I have no replacement tho

Take that back.  Qara Koyunlu seems much better positioned to replace ottomans, though it would be a while before they bumped up against any European player.

11 people is probably too much. I haven't played in a game that big, but from what I remember it was supposed to cause big instability to have more than, say, 8 players.

Since I work I have to get up early and cant play all night. But Tuesdays at 7 seem reasonable, can everyone at this day and time?

Idk About the alternative nation list, but if anyone want to play a minor that is in place of a Major, then we scrap the Major!

List a few alternatives (at least 2 of nations you want to play if you dont list they will be awarded to you).

Which UMP scenario are we using? I'm assuming not the 1419 one, but the one after that (1450 or something)?. What about options? There are quite a few. Obviously if we play with Burgundy, "hands off Burgundy" must be on. Also, "locked Land slider" should be off, I don't like that one.

Anyway, I would particularly want to play France or Ottoman Empire. Burgundy and Bavaria seem interesting too. Preferably not a mega-colonizer, but I can play that too (and perhaps take over the New World with Spain, again ;))

As for days, right now it's looking like any day will do.

I like Brandenburg.  Could live with Burgundy, probably, obviously assuming no France.  Assuming no Sweden...Denmark might actually be my first choice, but I'll need to experiment more, first.  Also, why not the 1419 scenario?

Because the 1419 scenario is woefully unbalanced for multiplayer. For one thing, France and all its vassals start at war with Burgundy and England. If we have a player controlled Burgundy, and they lose the initial war (a possibility), that could pretty much be the end of the game for them right there.

Alternatively, a player controlled France could face the same fate, almost. It's vassals could get eaten up quickly, and then we would have a situation where everyone else is smaller than in the next scenario, except for England who are a lot stronger.

Let's kick the organisation into overdrive, guys. We need a dictator.

• Are we going with the player-rating as a basis of allocating countries? If so, when is that happening?
• What days are we playing?
• What countries are we definitely using?

Spoon, there's a reason why very very few big games were ever played on the 1419 scenario. It's not balanced. And you winning a war against the AI means literally nothing. That was done with no interfering from humans. If we have an England player, France will be in a much, much more difficult spot. And if we don't have a France player (instead have only Burgundy), England will be too strong.

I'll play the 1419 scenario too, I just think the other scenarios are better.

I could go for Venice if there is no Austria. And tuesdays work for me.
Still havent checked the mod out yet but will do asap.

I've decided Denmark(No Sweden) is definitely my first choice.  Followed by Brandenburg and then Burgundy.  Tuesdays will work for me as well.  Noon my time, I believe, but I've got no classes on Tuesdays so it will work fine :D

Also, there's the issue of the host. If people can connect to me, I'd be willing to do it. My connection should definitely be able to handle 11 players, if indeed that's what we've got.

I will look at the 1450 scenario Nimic, Osi, that only works until England gets a thousand galleys! Christ you were annoying, will you play with us again?

Kastiel: Denmark (If you want to be a Scandinavian player, reconsider if you wouldnt rather be Sweden, I may also change your nation completly if there is a lack of players.
Augh: Venice (unless we get more players Augh will be Spain or England instead.)

Love: Rus

As it is now, the important Nations of France, Spain and England are unoccupied. Poland would also be a good nation to play in this mod. I need intel on any other players and nations.
