I've been wondering this ever since I started playing...
WHO ARE YOU PEOPLE?

like, I can't imagine normal people playing this game, but I consider myself pretty normal in most respects, and I play it. it just seems way too nerdy to be real... like dungeons and dragons, which I do NOT play.

but despite it's incredible nerdiness, I find that I am drawn towards it like a magnet! it's so much fun! and I can't figure out why!

and that led me to thinking... maybe I AM a nerd! and that's really weird because I usually don't like nerds, I love pick-up football, swim team, going to parties, college life, drinking etc. (and no, don't worry, I'm not one of those little poser kids who like to talk big and "cool" about themselves online and on Live etc.) this game goes against every fiber of my being as I thought it was and is on the outside. but I log on like 10 times a day. and stay up late so I can make those last moves before I have to sleep, which really sucks

anyway, the entire time I've been playing this I don't know whether to picture you guys as fat bald comicbook collecters in their parent's house basement or "regular people" wandering around the world sharing this secret of VU.

ANYWAY, just something I wanted to get off my chest. I love this game. now please tell me I'm not playing with a lot of crazy people putting on their elf and orc costumes before they log on. because that would really creep me out and would make me really, really uncomfortable and probably stop playing.

and maybe there are other people wondering this too? who knows? if you're out there, this is for you too.

Hey man, I thouroughly enjoy playing sports too, and chillin with the guys havin a couple drinks, goin' to parties and pickin up chicks.. but I also love playing videogames lol, which makes me glad that girls are gettin' more into it :P... the last few I have been with enjoy videogames which is a bonus for sure :)

yeah, like at my new job we're around computers but i can't log on since we don't have cubicles and if one of the girls I'm trying to score with saw me playin this and that 2D map and the army page or something... wow... haha.
I often wonder if other people at UMD play this, if you do please step forward. thanks in advance. I need to know who you are lol

Mhmm, Deallus's routine pretty much describes mine, as well.  Sometimes I'll spend afternoons online, but mainly when procrastinating on assignments.  Although, in my case the routine has changed a bit since I just got back from being abroad.

I can't tell you how many papers I've had to write that took 3 hours instead of 45 min. because this game was distracting me.

oh and everyone hast to go to the facebook group now and post something, I just joined. it's pretty amazing.

I will make sure to keep my away time secret...don't want certain people looking for me >.>

really, is it THAT weird that you're playing vu? just tell 'em its good for the brains or something..planning and stuff. hahah

I basically pop on a lot...but never am on for extended periods of time.  I go on walks around the campus, read, do homework, study, go to parties at frat houses, and walk off the campus to buy junk food at fast food places...joking about the bowl...I just have a lot of energy since I quit playing soccer(football)

Yes, but you do talk to me on IRC/MSN for extended periods of time (Example: Five hours). =P

Ive drowned ants nests with the hose, I've put salt on slugs (they explode inside-out btw...), ive squished spiders and flies...But i promise i wont kill another bug ever again...*stabs cat in chest* Well at least it wasnt a bug...

Yeah and remember the times when I was drinking while talking to you....? Yeah that was why it took so damn long...because I was losing my mind :p

i live in a basement apartment and spend most of my days drinking heavily and playing vu. the strength of my flaming posts will usually depend on how blitzed i happen to be at any given time. i am skinny not fat though because i don't eat a lot of food, just drink alot
