Would You Rather Game
14:58:51 Aug 26th 22 - Konspyre (Captain Baba Yaga):

Would you rather work in the Russian army (UKR front) or be a camp guard at a Xinjiang concentration camp for the next 12 months?
Why?

17:20:20 Aug 26th 22 - Matthew (Mr. Xeta):

NO NEITHER but Xinjiang  because Chinese are more competitve and I dont want to die yet lol

13:07:08 Dec 21st 22 - Ms. Jasmine:

Would you rather

Work in company and earn 80k a year but everyone else in company earns 70k
Or
Work in company and earn 90k a year but everyone else earns 100k

14:38:55 Dec 21st 22 - Percy (Sir Daniel Radcliffe):

Option 2 all day. Usually means either they’re looking for more out of you (something I can change), or if it’s unrealistic, that’s a higher base pay to leverage into a new position elsewhere.

If you go option 1, generally means you won’t be going up much more for a while, as you’re already “at the top”, meaning progressions in most cases will be slow compared to 2.

Having been in both positions (at literally same pay scales for me and coworkers, scary enough) can 100% say option 2 turned out to be the MUCH better option. Put me in an underdog situation, that’s where I thrive :)

Also really frustrated my coworkers weren’t able to progress like I was. I felt guilty that they kept elevating me but not them… I eventually left option 1 for option 2, and it wasn’t until I left that the employer fixed everyone else’s pay. Coworkers/employer at option 2 gave realistic growth opportunities and timelines, which is always something to look for in a healthy work environment. Option 1 never gave anything but hopes, which turned out to be a carrot tied to a string

16:40:56 Dec 21st 22 - Phat (Mr. Baelro):

What percy said.

17:24:38 Jan 13th 23 - Princess Yasmina:

Having a debate with a friend

if u had no other choices but to pick 1, who wud u swim with a hippo or a crocodile ?

My answer was:

Hippo obviously. Crocodile is a predator, he would go hunt right away. There is a chance Hippo would not go after you at all. Croc will

Then I did some research

  1. technically you would not escape if Hippo decides to go for oyu
  2. Hippos can swim at just under five mph, much faster than most humans who can swim up to 2 mph.
  3. Hippos can run faster than 30 miles per hour, whereas the fastest human, Usain Bolt, has only clocked in at 23.4 miles per hour. Although usually slow on land, hippos are extremely aggressive, particularly if you get between them and the water.
  4. in water or out... no chance
  5. But how quickly can they run? Most crocodiles can achieve speeds of around 12 to 14 kph for short periods, which is somewhat slower than a fit human can run. Don't believe the hype - if you're reasonably fit, you can definitely outrun a crocodile!
  6. That's around 5.3 miles per hour or 8.6 km/h. Saltwater crocodiles, on the other hand, can swim up to 18 miles per hour (29 km/h). That's over three times as fast as one of the fastest-swimming humans. A crocodile's body excels at speed while in the water.

So if there is a chance you could end up swimming to the shore...
What would you pick?
Hippo or Crocodile?

18:06:53 Jan 13th 23 - HorusPanic (Mr. Hate):

Assuming equal levels of hunger? I guess a croc given your details.

17:02:01 Feb 15th 23 - Dark Spawn (Mr. Dark Spawn II):

Would you rather:

Be stranded in Sahara desert
Be stranded in Amazon jungle (rainforest)

17:10:01 Feb 15th 23 - Phat (Lord New Ideas):

be stranded on val

be stranded on mant

17:29:44 Feb 15th 23 - Dark Spawn (Mr. Dark Spawn II):

23 vs 111 days stranded? Val every day of the week and twice on Saturday!

21:34:46 Feb 15th 23 - Nayoke the Kid (God Eros Please Cry):

jungle for sure. there are poison frogs so I dont have to wait for the heat :p

06:42:13 Feb 17th 23 - Mr. Mullet Also:

can teleport once a day or telekenisis up to what you can carry at any time

imagine leaving work clock out "f this place" bamf home
or i just laid down but thats over there ... not anymore

09:03:09 Feb 17th 23 - Nayoke the Kid (Mr. Nayoke Longbeard):

if there was no range on how far you could teleport then I would go with that. if it was only short range then telekinesis for sure or I would just end up having to get rides to pick up my car lol

09:10:20 Feb 17th 23 - Ms. Jasmine:

Rather be stranded in jungle, because in desert you will 100% die of thirst cause of lack of water, in jungle you might find water, but you'll probably get killed by some wild animal.

Saying telekinesis what you can carry really seals the deal, means you could not pick up heavy objects, just what you can carry. But if teleportation is only once per day and you can only go where you see, then its not a cool thing either lol
If you can go far then teleportation, if you can't then telekinesis.

12:28:13 Feb 17th 23 - Mr. Mullet Also:

sugerrice gave me that one

22:21:09 Mar 3rd 24 - Lady Jasmine:

Would you rather

1. Work in company and earn 90k per year
Everyone else in company earns 80k per year

OR

2. Work in company and earn 100k per year
Everyone else in company earns 110k per year.

23:19:57 Mar 3rd 24 - Dark Lord Anewbis:

2.

Dont really care what others make, as long as I'm content.

03:34:17 Mar 4th 24 - Mr. Grendel:

Lady Jasmine:

Would you rather

1. Work in company and earn 90k per year
Everyone else in company earns 80k per year

OR

2. Work in company and earn 100k per year
Everyone else in company earns 110k per year.

Interesting to think about lol on one hand you're making pretty good money... on the other... would you be mad if you were paid less for the same job?

03:38:51 Mar 4th 24 - Princess Yasmina:

It would bother me that others make more than I do lol

There was a study, the majority of people said the first option
There is a sub question for this
Would you rather

Have 5 weeks of vacation while everyone else has 6 weeks of vacation
or
have 3 weeks vacation while everyone else has 2 weeks of vacation

Here everyone went for option 1 because vacation is not valued the same as money. Gives you status and that is important for people. Vacation does not give status.

06:01:45 Mar 4th 24 - Binh (Mr. Binh):

Lady Jasmine:

Would you rather

1. Work in company and earn 90k per year
Everyone else in company earns 80k per year

OR

2. Work in company and earn 100k per year
Everyone else in company earns 110k per year.

I would choose option 2 because it is the one that benefit me the most. Dont really care how much others make.

19:18:17 Mar 4th 24 - Mr. Ludwig Von Drake:

^Agreed with Binh

Nowadays, I just do not care if someone is getting 10k more than me.

22:41:54 Mar 4th 24 - Phat (Lord Crados):

Also, a week of additional paid leave is a 2% raise when mathed.

So.. do I take a 10% raise and everyone else gets 12% OR do I get 6% and everyone else has 4%??

These are silly. I’d rather earn more, no matter my peers position.

23:49:53 Mar 4th 24 - Mr. Error Prone:

Heaven. Let's say Heaven exists...the game is,

Who's idea of heaven...

You die of old age...you get handed an intake form with 3 options....

Option 1) Do you wish to go to Heaven as a young child so you can be with your parents/siblings or grandparents and be as an innocent kid forever?
 2) Or have Heaven be when you were a parent so you can be with your children forever?
 3) Or as you were when you died?

What if you pick an option to be with your kids, but they picked the option to be with theirs?  Who's Heaven takes precedence?  Idle thoughts.

15:26:54 Mar 6th 24 - Sable (Arkanist Sable Blackbrush):

I kind of liked the way Supernatural handled the idea of Heaven. Everyone just got their own room with basically alternate universes where things were the way you wanted them, your own personal paradise.

So in your scenario, you'd be with your kids and they'd be with theirs.
