Khaile is the son of Kaine, an elven wizard who led his kingdom in the war of the Black Hand, against the alliance of ogres and orcs formed in Era 16. Kaine died while battling the ogre chief Harkram on the battle of the Frozen lake, the last battle of that war. The two combatants killed each other of with their final blows.

His heritage scattered, Khaile led what was left of his elven clan across the blue seas and the the far lands of Stara. There he hoped to reforge his father's kingdom, and live in peace with his neighbours.

Khaile is married to the fair lade Ninriel, High Priestress of Elliassa, Goddess of the Moon. Khaile is the most powerfull mage in his tribe, a cunning diplomat and a good general. His Kingdom will stand his ground and defend what is theirs, but they will not be hastily to be to provoker in an act of aggression.
