Before Balberak was born, his father had died in battle while fighting off elven invaders. From the stories Balberak is told, His father was a mysterious Fighter that kept to himself and was built for war.

Since balberak never met his father, he promised to himself that he would be their for his own, so he set to the mines like the dwarves and founded a peaceful Mining city out of the way so that foreign invaders would hopefully pass them by.
