Mr. Jonny Bacardi

Lived in Era 42, got 1 heir(s) (Jonny Bacardus The First) and was a member of Paladins of the Order of the Frozen Flame

And so, it comes to this.... To a decision that could alter the fate of my entire line.
As I sit here, on my throne, I have started to wonder. Mine are an old people, who have gone through, and lived through much. We have been the sworn protectors of the frozen flame for many, many life times now, and it has given us the strength and confidence to live, survive, and grow. And now, after many generations of living in hiding, we are back. However, as my son, Gianni, has pointed out, our name is big. But, is it right. He has scoured the most ancient texts, dating back to the days of a man we know only as "Tirading Virus". A powerful man who lived on a world many many miles away. He is the first known holder of the flame. But he was unworthy, and grew greedy. And so, on his last stand, he gave up all his power, and flame was nought. Lothon could have given up, but he found hope in a small village not far away from there, but many many years later.
It was our greatest ancestor, Jonny Bacardi, the man for who i and every first born son is named, who found the flame, god, and the true path to righteous living.
However, we have new evidence to suggest that this was not his name. That his name was in fact, Bacardus. And so, I have named my first born son Jonny Bacardus, in the hope that he will do the same for his, and that our TRUE name will live on.
Such is the legacy that I, the last Jonny Bacardi, will leave upon the world. For Lothon has spoken to me, and i know that it is right.
He has also told me that men will once again flock to our banners, and our ranks will swell in size and greatness. None should be able to stand up to the might of the flame. For Lothon is the true path to heaven.

Grand Paladin Jonny Bacardus The First

Lived in Era 44, got 1 heir(s) (Jonny Bacardus The Just) and was a member of Paladins of the Order of the Frozen Flame

And so, we went. The followers of Lothon, prospered in the lands of Mogrox, made their way to the lands of Zetamania for a fresh start.
Completely unsure of what to expect there, the new man, Jonny Bacardus, The First, and his people made their start.
The people felt right at home, settling close to their ally Sipuae Greenleaf, the follower of Midban the Wise and the new leader of that branch.
Jonny set down the standard of the Paladins near the Mountains of Rifdar, and so the city of Tyrus was born. It would soon flourish under the new rule, as those with Jonny went forth to try and spread the word of the true god Lothon, and the message of the Paladin Order that protected his earthly body, the Frozen Flame

After settling with his allies, Jonny Bacardus turned to look for ways to expand. However, dire news reached him.
First of all, his neighbor, a one Mr. Pogo, had decided to not join up with the Paladin Empire. This was not so bad, and would be dealt with. The problem however, was with No Pulse.

The Kingdom of No Pulse had decided that they were going to try and take the entire continent for themselves. Once news of this reached the ears of Jonny, he acted quickly. Sending out riders to the leaders of the other major groups of Zeta, he quickly discovered that a coalition had been formed against the No Pulse clan, and that it was led by a join effort of Knights of the Black and White, and the Hillbilly Mafia. Jonny sent word that he would most definitely join up, and that he was willing to use all available troops to help the cause.

However, shortly after joining, the unthinkable happened. Legions of the vile Pogo Pogo streamed out of the small mountain ranges to the North, and blind sided the un protected lands of Jonny's good friend and fellow Paladin Spiaeu Greenleaf. His cities were defenceless, and they quickly fell to the wrath of the barbarian hordes. Jonny ralled quickly, and began his war efforts in the training city of Myre, where many brave paladin warriors were tought how to fight with a wide array of weapons. They were equiped with the finest weapons in the area, and with the, the first small garrison, dubbed as the "Paladin Faithkeepers", marched off and won an easy victory over a larger but poorly equiped garrison gaurding the city of Greenhome.

Pogo Pogo had met his match, as wave after wave of new recruits poured out of the city of Myre, and were sent across the empire for both offensive and defensive postions. The Faithkeepers kept up their march, not staying long in Greenhome, they headed north, towards the friendly city of undefinedtwo, led by Mr. Pirate.

It was expected that, given the location of undefinedtwo, Pogo would make his next assault here. And he was. Even now, we await word from our noble heroes of the faithkeepers, anxiously hoping that they are able to stave off the invasion of the evil pogo.

The Faithkeepers kept the city of Undefined two alive, and the forces of Pgo travelled downward, taking back the unprotected city of Greenhome, and moving to Nightvale. There, they joined up with the huge army of slaves sitting in the city, and marched upon the capital, the Heart of the Empire, the Glorious city of Tyrus.

The siege has been a few days, and Pogo has just recieved reinforcements. However, we can take heart, for our men have a good chance of being victorious if they leave the city to launch an offensive strike, and we have gotten word that an army known as the Paladin Tyrantkillers is just on the horizon, marching quickly to reinforce the capital.

The odds, man to man, are over just under 4:1 in their favor, and still, they know that, if they do gamble and try to take the city, it will be an almost sure failure on their part. there is no use in trying, they camp outside mainly as a show of strength. However, when thje Tyrantkillers arive, I feel the tables will turn....

At the battle of Tyrus, the Paladin Faithkeepers, with the new Tyrantkillers on their flank, completely routed the much larger but shoddily equiped army of Uraganas. The army of Pogo pogo numbered almost 12000 men, while the Paladins numbered just 4500, and still, with the words of their leader ringing in their ear, and seeing him rush out in front of them on his magnificent battle horse, the paladins had something to fight for.
The fighting was fierce for a short while, until the barbarians realized their were out equiped and outclassed. Thats when they broke down. Their entire left flank collapsed, and the Paladin army took full advantage showing no quarter to the men who had only just recently attacked the friendly city of Greenhome, and pillaged it until their was almost nothing left.

Lothon had indeed willed this victory, and with his blessing, it looked like the tide of war was finally turning.

However, the victory was short lived. Soon after these great victories, the problems grew worse. As Sir jonny and his knights fought, others did not. There were not enough troops left, and though every paladin who died took at least ten slave warriors with him, the ten slaves were replaced, the paladin was not. Those under Bacardus fought the hardest. The faithkeepers rode out in defence of their allies and their own numerous times. Slowly, death had its toll. It was tough.

The slave armies mounted huge odds, and eventually, only a few of Jonny's strongest cities survived, every other one of his, and all the other members of the flame, had been taken.

In the following months, Jonny watched in complete dismay as his order was slowly picked apart. He could not understand what had gone wrong. In a last effort, he sent his son. A man his men had already dubbed Jonny Bacardus The Just, to a new world, with their most sacred relics. There, he was to restart his empire, and bring back the glory of Lothon
