I don't really value the era win. The individual player win is somewhat of a meaningless victory, I do not strive to achieve the era win so I can stand among exploiters, those who were fed the era win, farmers, ect. and say "I have won!"

Even at that, the chances I will actually win the era are rather slim, and the same goes for Banned. I know of players who have made it their goal to win the era, and the only way I could win would be to either be successful to an unrealistic level, or to stop contributing anything of value and farm for it. Even at that, I am sure that the players who have had static land and troop count for weeks have more resources than I could hope to achieve even if I dropped everything and horded for the era win right now.

On an unrelated note, here is a shoutout to a few players outside of my kingdom who deserve special recognition (in no particular order):

Heatly- I like fighting OOP even with how much it cripples my economy and sciences, but you made it extra painful.

Aussie- Your presence caused me a lot of dissatisfaction and made things more difficult than they should have been.

Bluelight- Good magic, and good job surviving and fighting others this long.

Aloysius- Same deal as Bluelight

Nighstalker- Your combination of Force Marched Nazgul and gaia spam made you one of the most annoying players to deal with all era

Eddo- You are an extremely skilled player, and did an excellent job supporting your kingdom

Mcmax- You have played your hand far better than most players in your situation would, and deserve recognition for doing so

Banned- You have been in the right place at the right time, with few significant misplays.

thanks Barny. for sure this era belongs to iPwN. we started in different locations in Fant so we have no well defined core to start with. plus relentless warred us in the beginning of the era. ;-(

Legend, although OOP went pretty fast it was still a bitch to deal with you two =P. Coolcat starting spamming those infamous OOP GT and you had tens of thousands of Gaia and some GT, so I was forced into picking up military science, thus stunting me at 6 military 6 mining, on top of needing to fight OOP, which really hurt my economy. That slowed me down pretty hard until I had gained enough of an upperhand in future wars that I could afford to start sacrificing slinger to the God of experience, and thus find sciences and treasure. I wouldn't play Halfling if I couldnt get treasure and sciences, because the 1/2 land cost isn't a huge advantage when I didn't really built shit for land.

As for the scout penis, I thought I had to justify that in an exciting and humorous way. For the majority of people in Relentless and iPWN, all that they would have seen was a giant scout penis and knew nothing more. I really don't want a reputation as a lover of huge yellow penises. In reality, it was actually a giant cock of death.

Big armies show up on the HoH, so you get their name, so you know what to target in the magic targeting screen. I went into Relentless's core with ludicrous amounts of magic protection, far more then I thought I would need; 400k MU. I was alone, and I was pretty sure my army would get hit at some point and that I would need to do as much damage as possible. Over time I razed a ton of armory and MC, and the homes in the mines (razing is expensive at 2 million land), and hit a few huge armies. After dealing with Kaizen I was at 120k MU or something, about 1/3 of my previous army; and Ryorth froze me. I really didnt expect that at all. Overall Relentless magic has been pretty exciting to deal with. It has been a long time since I have seen such widespread use of Invisibilty, but it is a useless spell against a knowledgeable player. I screenshot cores when I have shifting LoS, and I can just find X/Y coordinates of invisible cities through other means anyways. Oh yeah, and it has been AGESSS since someone has done this:

But when Ryorth froze me I just merge walked back to my city. I mentioned army names earlier, because if I covered my HoH army with scouts named "Barnhardo I-XX" or something, you would still see "Barnhardo VII" on the HoH and know to freeze that army, so naming armies the same thing 20 times (max of 20 armies of the same name) in 10 different groups, it wouldnt do much.

Instead I cover my armies with visually confusing scout names, like "illilillilliiil", so having the name of the HoH army doesnt do much for you. It is a real pain in the ass when my army was covered with 200 scouts with visually similiar names to the HoH army, it couldnt be targeted from the map and sifting through 200+ armies on the magic targeting screen is something most magess wont deal with. Eventually I just walked my main army out of Relentless's core under 200 or scouts, then river jumped over their blocker to safety. After getting our of their core I was frozen again, but I could just merge walk to safety anyways. After all, merge walking a large army is only like 5 in-game units less traveled per tick as opposed to using normal pathing.

As for the scout cock of death, the great thing about taking invisible cities is that they stay invisible. Relenltess forgot about 1 city I took, and I had like 5k pony rider in it. I didn't want to make a normal "illillilli" scout cover, because that would give away that I was up to something. Instead I shaped it into a penis shooting it's load of death upon the only Relentless MC I couldnt raze due to freezes, and hide my 5k ponies under it. Overall I had some shitty shitty luck, and I couldnt take the city to raze the 75k MT, but over a few failed attacks around 60%ish I was able to kill 250k+ out of 280kish MU. I was ok with that, because it would have cost me 380 million gold to raze the MT if I took the city.

That is a big wall of text that most people won't read, but it is moderately entertaining at least.

I want to thank my kingdom, and everyone I have fought against this era. Overall this era did not seem like it would be a lot of fun, but it ended up being far more exciting than I had first imagined it would be.

well i was the one responsible for most of the invisibilty a humble orc with too much time on his hands as Aligreat had killed off my dwarf character earlier so i was just in support filling blockers and casting a few spells and leaving our mages to do the real work. although you might of still got some of those cities the other ipwn walked straight past my mage city and i was able to direct them away from key cities before they achieved line of sight, thus minimizing our losses in a huge way. can't take too much credit, FEAR did it to me in the last era so i learnt how useful it could be.

Hannibal im actually just hopping around and plundering a bit, considering era is over and income means squat now ;)

I actually found it amusing tbh... meant someone was having fun on the other side too in this oh so dreary era... ;)

But i did enjoy the uselesness of Random and his huge epenor army :D That was probably the highlight of the era for me personally... in no small part thanks to our resident mage Starxie who played a good part in disabling him for good :)

i have been extremely inactive this era and was never able to do much. i can't be that criticized for you guys crossing my borders. i successfully repelled 4 of your HoH armies all by myself and that significantly weakened me. I had to man 3 blockers b/c i realized my 1 blocker didn't fully block until it was too late and already in a war with MAD so i couldn't destroy it and rebuild

Especially to Half Man who was a worthy advisary that kept me on my toes for several weeks. To all the halfers that donated cities and armies to a lowly mage...thank you. I would like to congratulate everyone for a good era and one of the hardest fights in a long time. And a special way to go to Starxy on her first attempt at magin...way to go. Peace y'all.
