Merry Christmas everyone! I have been busy lately due to the holidays so I haven't caught up on the thread, but I just wanted to say that it's really awesome to see the community actively using the forums to discuss things and working together to improve the game.

I've been making a couple of humor/joke posts in other forum sections with basic opinions/info about races for the new players coming in that aren't in Evil because I didn't want to start on a VU wiki page using wikia and then go inactive for a few days right after starting, but I'll get the ball rolling for a wiki ASAP and then we can add to it once I have it hosted and have made a new thread for wiki related discussion.

I just want to make sure new players have access to information without needing to read walls of text from me or anyone else.

We should draw a chart for ourselves (a chart) for base rules we as a community of players should not do.


Like no attacking kdless players (mostly new guys) unless provoked first and such. No kicking of new guys even if they screw up and such etc etc.

What do you guys think?

I agree, and we should get it maybe posted or stickied on the politics section as 'code of honor' or something? 'Rules of Honor? Someone else can think of a cooler sounding name.

We can also put that in a section of the wiki too under a similar title. I get home today so I can start on the wiki and stuff in a few hours after I mess around the forums a bit with MSPaint for some VU-humor type stuff that isn't as fun to do on a laptop or mobile.

Regarding Newer Players
  1. In Qua thou shall not abuse new players whom are tagless.
  2. If said new player joins a kingdom, he becomes free game with a 24hr notice.
  3. If you are a confirmed returning player Point 1-2 apply.
  4. Thou shall not play on lower worlds specifically to stomp newer players.
  5. If a new player asks you a question and you do not or can't answer forward the player to the guides.
Regarding leadership on Qua should ZeTa be unavailable to create an elective monarchy leadership.

  1. The monarch should be chosen by his people.
  2. A monarch should be able to lead 2 straight eras but not a 3rd.
  3. An ex-monarch can be elected after an era has passed.
  4. Viceroys should both be free game and also people's elected.
  5. All monarchs should step down if their people want so.
Regarding Diplomacy in Qua

  1. There's no diplomacy in Qua, only war. But a CF is available should both kingdoms agree that it is on the best interest of the game.

I think those are good rules for and guidelines to follow.

We need to make sure next era is balanced though, and Zeta actually has to fix how spawning tagless works. There shouldn't be a tagless option. You shouldn't be able to spawn on the world without choosing a KD and then apply mid-era.

It's probably up to us to determine how to balance the teams for next round but we have a good sense of how many people are playing now and who is playing.

The random shuffle didn't work and this era shows that, How do we balance the teams for next round?

Discuss this and I'll work on the wiki.

Well i suggested doing two groups:


1) Players playing in Fantasia (which are the players with the highest experience + activity). Divide those among Good and Evil.

2) Players playing in any other realm which would have some with high experience, but likelihood that most would be newbie to "mid" experience players. Which then they would be randomly divided into Good and Evil.

May take a fair bit of organization to do this.

The format for the wiki will roughly follow the Utopia Wiki, except it will use wikia (more popular/better) and VU is a different game than Utopia.

Ideally once it's up it can get linked on the homepage or something like Utopia's wiki does.

I feel GvE is bringing in a decent amount of new players as well as returning ones, we as a community should thrive and make the best out of this situation by showing the ropes to the new players and encourage them to stay.

Unless there are any objections Evil will be looking to Armageddon the first round within 48 hours, once Good drops a bit below 1/5 of Evil's power%, or after the last Good army falls- whichever comes first.

We need to decide on a way to balance the teams for next round before that time, and I will try to get the wiki up in some useable form before then which means I will not be very active in the game or on the forums.

Evil will be casting Armageddon shortly, the okay to do so has been issued and the spell will be cast as soon as possible. Expect the spell to be cast in anywhere from 12-72 hours from now, ideally ASAP.

For those who do not know, Armageddon effectively ends the round. Most rounds are longer than this, but the teams this round were a bit lopsided.
