problem with that is that nobody knows everyone in that list and we want teams to be evenly balanced as possible. so a small crew needs to come together to 'pre-rank' if you will, to help the captains evenly pick teams.

In order to be affective in this game, you have to log in a considerable amount of time. Now, What if you are a player that can't be as active enough to support your team on a tick by Rick basis, more like once or twice a day type of login? Where does someone fit in this case

When I go back to work on Monday it will be so much harder to be as active as I was... But I enjoy this game and VU does indeed have a good community...

Indeed, people are actively doing things to improve the game/community and it's really great! Thank you to Horus for taking the time to help make sure things run smoothly whilst I'm busy with the wiki/other stuff, and next round Good will have a different Flag.

How do you guys feel about Red vs Blue? Evil can be Red and Good can be Blue this round or something like that. We should decide on how to do the banners so one KD doesnt end up with a solid black banner while the other gets something else entirely again.

It all depends on your strategy, but activity is definitely important and even required with some races/strategies. I recommend picking Either Human or Dwarf and doing an early farming strategy, but I strongly recommend playing Human over Dwarf given that I feel they are a better race (Both Human and Dwarf are average races IMO, worse than Halfling/Orc generally but Humans units match up much better vs Halfling units than Dwarf units do and Human is generally a more aggressive race than Dwarf)

Human is actually a pretty good race and they have strategies you can use that fit any activity level, It's also very easy to defend a 200k if you log in 1-2 times a day.

I was thinking it may be counter productive to allow untagged players on a map whose purpose is to allow two kingdoms to fight it out, perhaps not allowing players to land on this world unless they are in one of the two kingdoms?

This balance isn't based on one or two eras performance but by the basic and advanced understanding of game mechanics. Besides an active binh and barney battle is going to be quite chaotic. I can't help but grin thinking of the pop between them.

I think this would be much more entertaining if all players were dropped at random spots on the map. In 1 part of the map there might be 3 evil players and 5 good players and on another there might be 6 evil and 3 good. This having 25 man KDs hiding behind 4 blockers and occupying only half the map is getting stale.

I agree, numbers are inflated with a lot of people that dont communicate and dont care.

I was thinking something similiar to what trolling troll said but more the kingdom gets split into two corners so good NE and SW. Evil NW and SE and it would be up to the leadership to try and split the them team into the two corners evenly with selected city drops. or even make 4 kingdoms but that would be stretching the numbers a bit.

I don't understand how Starta isn't an already force no kingdom world, it's the FFA world and you start a kingdom in it you might-as-well have played a different world. The same goes for GvE, these are worlds with a designed purpose, being tagless is against that purpose in the same way that being in a multiplayer kingdom is against the spirit of FFA.
