for the person that said during WWII it was europe and america vs germany you are right. however germany also almost inhialated everyone by itself. if it wasnt for america going in and kicking their asses you may have lost. your troops were totally wiped out man. no hope was left for them, until reniforcments came, america who killed the *beep* out of the germans. so yeah us took out what was the rest of german troops which no one else could have done

Anyways, someone mentioned the quality of troops. Well i would be happy to inform you that the US marines S - U - C - K - S compared to the British S.A.S, and the Norwegian Telemarks skvadronen. Norwegian and British soldiers, are considered the most efficient troops in the world. Ranked pretty high. But hey, what do i know... and what do i really care for that matter.

Dude you just saw the movie while I saw the documentary and the spartans had bronze armor a bronze shield a spear and a sword so basicly spartans would only get harmed by arrows if they got shot in the eye.

Dude, what documentary did you see?  The one on the second disk of 300?  Spartans fought with shield, helmet, sandals, spear and short sword, and nothing else.  Well not entirely true, they did rub oil all over their bodies before they fought.  Maybe try reading a book, one from the history section, especially Greek History.

And just in case the documentary you saw did not include this, the Persians did not have monsters, or ogres on chains either.

First of all this is fiction so quit with stupid remarks about it never happening, ofc it wont. But its a for-fun topic.

Now to the issue, just a little observation: USA can't even win the war in Iraq, how could they win vs Europe?

Though I do admit in the beginning of the war atleast USA would have the upper hand. USA spends almost 600 billion yearly on its military while Europe is somewhere around 400 billion(too lazy to add it all toghether). Many sites in Europe and USA would ofc be bombed.

But in the long run, Europes superior industrial power, manpower and access to strategic resources such as oil would give Europe the win.

Sure USA is further ahead in military science than most European countries, but soon enough all factories in Europe would be producing the latest fighters, bomers, tanks and ships. Not to mention the fact that we already have access to most american technology and in wartime we could easily get the rest of it via industrial espionage due to the large European population in USA.
