16:41:15 Jan 13th 08 - Mr. Killer:

... Cna you give us some more quests or something? I might kill whoever is left of the war afterwards... Stupid really, weakening both armies...

18:34:42 Jan 13th 08 - Sir Revenge:

[ Yer, I got kinda bored so I just declared war on septim... usual stuff lol ]

18:40:29 Jan 13th 08 - Mr. Vengence:

k...(you can get allies and stuff ya know btw....)

QUEST! WANTED: ONE WARRIOR

To the east of my house, were i live a long way away from anyone else, there is a cave. I have grown concerned, for From that cave sometimes comes the sound of howling. I believe a wolf may be in there, but it sounds huge. if you rid me of this nuisance you will recieve:

thirty gold coins, a can of C.B/ Sp@m depending on which you prefer, and a extra skill level for morale

(depending on how good your post is will depend on what you recieve, so if it is poor you may not get everything)

19:34:44 Jan 13th 08 - Sir Revenge:

I would take it but I'm in war :(

19:41:48 Jan 13th 08 - Mr. Vengence:

lol revenge...you could call off the invasion, and negotiate peace with septim. then you could take it, once you had got peace with septim

19:48:13 Jan 13th 08 - Sir Revenge:

NO!

19:48:39 Jan 13th 08 - Mr. Vengence:

fine then

19:56:57 Jan 13th 08 - Mr. Killer:

Hmmm.. I'll take it so.

*Killer tells his army to stay where they are, and goes off to the cave which Revenge was talking about. He walks to the outside of the cave, and waits for night to set in.*

19:58:00 Jan 13th 08 - Mr. Vengence:

[night will be in one hour killer, and will end in eight after that

20:24:22 Jan 13th 08 - Mr. Might The God of Cows:

*Might declares war on Killer!*

[He can't do anything about it sense hes in a cave no where near his army! BWhahahah]

At night Might tells his army to split into 2 groups of 500 and surround Killers Leaderless army. He then tells them to Charge from both sides.

20:32:59 Jan 13th 08 - Mr. Vengence:

might, you havefive thousand troops ya know. and his soldiers can act inependantly. so, as you have only used one thousand of your troops, they were east to take out, and only 123 of the one thousand survived

20:34:32 Jan 13th 08 - Mr. Might The God of Cows:

WOOT

Vengence somhow I don't believe that.... I heard that I had 1000. I demand a replay! BECAUSE 1: it was a Sneeak attack 2: I destroyed his morale in the first attack. 3: They didn't have that great of a leader. They were all acting independent!

20:59:25 Jan 13th 08 - Mr. Killer:

*Relic, the commander after Killer, sees that his troops are ready for when Killer gets back. They're all sorted and everything, as Relic is afraid Killer will demote him otherwise. They easily see off Might's attack, who had only 1,000 men. He wandered around couting his own injured. He was sure it wasn't as much as the foe lost.

Meanwhile, Killer waits, and night sets in. He then wonders why he waited. However, he shortly hears howling. He gathered about him his equipment, a sword and shield, and a torch. He walks in steathily inside the cave, torch lit. He sees the creature. It is no wolf. He isn't sure what it is. It was huge, and from its sharp fangs was blood dripping. Killer wondered what it had ate. He looked at the rest of the creature. It was standing up, had fur, sharp claws, and long limbs, short body, and small head. It was muscular. Killer sighed. He seemed to be have been getting into the wrong fights lately. He wonders if he should back off now before the creature spottted him... But he couldn't walk away shamefacedly. Besides, it had already seen him. Killer woke from his stupor. He sighed. The creature bared its fangs, and leaped at him. It was fast. Killer was knocked down onto the ground. The blood dripped from his mouth and nose. He tasted the metallic taste of blood on his tongue. He stood up, unsteadily. He unsheathed his sword, and ran at the creature. It easily jumped out of the way, and smashed him into the rocks. More blood flowed from Killer. He wheeled around, and then fell down, dizzy. He knew he wouldn't survive. He was doomed. A voice in his brain told him to get up, or die. He lay there still, too exhauted to move, not that he had done much. His brain screamed at him. It was no use. He couldn't get his arms to move, or legs. He heard the creature snarling, and was picked up by it, the sharp claws scraping his arms and body. He dropped his sword, too weak to hold it. It landed on the creature's foot. It howled in pain. It dropped Killer. Killer found a last reserve of eneregy, and yanked the sword out of the creature's foot, causing it to scream a bloodcurdling scream. But Killer knew he had to fini*beep* off quickly. He aimed for the creature's Achilles heel, and struck deep into it. He pulled the sword out. The creature roared in pain. Killer covered his ears, but could not block out the cry. He stumbled out of the cave,  and turned around, to see the creature drop to the ground, dead. A pool of blood lied around it. Killer wondered how much of it was his. Killer stumbled across the Vengence's house, after falling many times. He got up once more, and knocked on the door. He collapsed into the house, near dead, and unconcious now...*

21:03:08 Jan 13th 08 - Mr. Might The God of Cows:

*Might follows Killer to the house and once he collapses Might takes out his sword and cuts off his head.*

[YOu gave me a wonderful opportunity!]

21:06:04 Jan 13th 08 - Mr. Killer:

I was pretty sure you would have gotten killed by my men, leading an army of 1,000 men lead by a terrible leader against 5,000 men, with a pretty decent leader.

21:09:21 Jan 13th 08 - Mr. Might The God of Cows:

Killer, You weren't there when I attacked. Vengence didn't say I died.

Now your dead :D

23:34:23 Jan 13th 08 - Sir Erunion Telcontar:

Erunion arrives at the barbarian outpost, and walks carefully forward, Trendarat at the ready. He went in during a cloudy night, where his elven eyes could outdo any of these humans eyesight. He carefully moved forward, with longbow at the ready. A few silent arrows took care of the sentries, then Erunion moved forward towards the main entrance...

14:17:21 Jan 14th 08 - Mr. Vengence:

actually, killer is not dead. he can react, say what he does to prevent it. after about five posts each then ill decide who dies and who lives, or if neither die and one runs for it

*after seeing killer colapse (this is before might arrives, oh, btwm you cant kill me as im a non-combatant in the game) he gets sme stew ready. once killer has eaten and told his tale, he decides the story is true, and gives him:

30 gold coins, the SP@M/ C.B, and a extra level for morale.after hearing that it was not a wolf however, he also adds an extra fives coins to the reward*

15:46:56 Jan 14th 08 - Mr. Might The God of Cows:

Vengence, Killer said he was unconscious. I can also get through them pretty easily if needed sense I have men near me and he doesn't.

16:29:51 Jan 14th 08 - Mr. Vengence:

fair enough, killer you cant post for three days, that way you arent comletely out of the game while still beeing punished

16:31:07 Jan 14th 08 - Mr. Might The God of Cows:

3 days? hes dead! He can play again next game.

*Might takes the reward off Killers body.*

[Do I get a reward for killing Killer?]

16:38:49 Jan 14th 08 - Mr. Vengence:

nope, you get what killer has. so you get all his money and armour and stuff. not his troops though

winner is:

1) first to kill everyone else at some point, so they come bk but if you kill everyone once each then you win

2) First to get ten thousand gold

that is how it goes. Might, Killer comes back, but he has no money, and only three thousand in his army.

16:51:31 Jan 14th 08 - Mr. Might The God of Cows:

Post a list of what I got please. What the hell? I can't turn of italics!

17:05:54 Jan 14th 08 - Mr. Vengence:

lol.

you have recieved:

45 gold coins

a tin of SP@M

one morale level, up

17:20:52 Jan 14th 08 - Sir Revenge:

[ Its been two days, Septim hasn't posted his response therefore I can attack him, If he doesnt respond a day after this post then I will slaughter his troops right? ]

" FOR FREEDOM!"
Revenges men charge down the steep hill with their arms drawn and their large golden shields at hand, they are ready to engage into the Septims...

18:09:52 Jan 14th 08 - Mr. Vengence:

Ok, I think we will do the battle wins for inactivity as follows:

if for twenty four hours one players fails to reply. the other can atack again

if for 72hours there is no reply, the other person wins, and the opponent dies. note that the actual player may not die, while his army could have nearly ben wiped out

18:31:33 Jan 14th 08 - Sir Erunion Telcontar:

Hmm, is the debate from earlier over? And if so, did I win? And if that's so, what did I win?

18:35:00 Jan 14th 08 - Mr. Vengence:

I guess so, as might hasnt posted his side of it.

you recieved: 100 extra cavalry. (all of the ones to start were infantry)

18:43:44 Jan 14th 08 - Sir Erunion Telcontar:

Erunion slipped into the camp, it looked like he had chosen a good night. The sentries had been half drunk and the rest were in a stupor because of it. They had obviously had some sort of celebration.
Erunion stalked quietly over to their massive storehouse, and found a great deal of plunder, everything from chain mail vests to gems. Then he heard a whimper in the corner, and saw a group of women and children, obviously slaves.
"What happened to you?"
One of the older women replied:
"We were taken earlier today in a raid. What, what are you doing here?"
Erunion spoke again;
"Getting you out of here. Quick, grab whatever you need, but don't make much noise." Erunion then pointed to the three oldest boys, ans said:
"You three, come with me. Silently."
The boys nodded in agreement, and followed Erunion. Erunion shuffled through the stores until he found the barbarians supply of lamp oil. Handing the boys each a weapon and a share of the lamp oil, he spoke:
"The roof's are thatch, pour some oil on each of them. Only, I repeat only use those weapons on barbarians who are awake. Do not make any noise whatsoever. If you do, were all as good as dead."

Quickly the three boys and Erunion went throughout the village, pouring oil on the thatched roofs. Once this was completed, Erunion spoke once more:
"Quick lads! Run out of the town, find your mothers and follow them! I'll deal with the rest."
Once the boys were out of the town and had disappeared into the woods, Erunion lit a torch, then ran from house to house lighting the roofs. One of the barbarians heard the clamour, and was sober enough to jump out of his home. Erunion cut off his stunned head, grabbed it and ran. Once out of the town, Erunion bagged the head and jogged on over to Vengeance's abode, the sounds of a burning town behind him.
Once Erunion arrived in the home, he placed the head on Vengeance's table.

18:45:39 Jan 14th 08 - Mr. Killer:

Wtf? How come I lost 2,000 men? You can't seriously tell me that 1,000 crappy troops let by Might would beat mine, even if I wasn't there. I don't mind losing the rest of the stuff, though I don't know how Might stole morale. Sorry for posting, I just find it unfair, after Might sneaked after me.

18:49:58 Jan 14th 08 - Mr. Might The God of Cows:

I find it unfair that I even lost 1000 men. You were just unprepared.

19:11:49 Jan 14th 08 - Mr. Vengence:

Killer, you men didnt die. you died, and the two thousand left in your absence.

19:14:05 Jan 14th 08 - Mr. Killer:

...
Right Might, you better be prepared.

19:15:06 Jan 14th 08 - Mr. Vengence:

*vengence looked in surprise at the hed on his table, but said nothing. he had been halfway through a lovely bowl of soup, and now didnt feel like eating it at all.

'so, you brought me the chieftain's head eh? those slavers have been annoying us for years'

after making sure the head was real, he spoke again

'you have done well, and deserve a reward. go, take with you these gold coins'*

Your have recieved: 25gold coins

19:45:13 Jan 14th 08 - Sir Erunion Telcontar:

{"warrior wanted to go on a quest, reward is new weaponry for them and if they have one their army. the weaponry may be chosen by the person who completes the quest." A lousy 25gp is all I get after being promised this... Well, maybe not so lousy... :P}

Upgrading morale to level two. Costs 30 gold, and I have 35. I know have 5 gold left over.

19:48:31 Jan 14th 08 - Mr. Vengence:

oops......oh yeah, sos m8...

I gave you that, and you get to choose the weaponry as promised. however, you do NOT get it for yor army too, the Rp has to be really exceptional to get the full prize. I gave you extra gold coins tho so that is ok...

NEW DEBATE!

Army size, or army skill!? which one would win out! 10,000 men with bad skill against 1,000 men with good skill, who wuold win?! you choose your side!

NOTE: the army with bad skill have basic fighting training, but lack the flair of the 1k men, that what Is meant

19:55:43 Jan 14th 08 - Sir Erunion Telcontar:

Alright then, I have a Naergothrendarin noble Trendarat. (Trendarat that has a spell imbued into it causing a burst of flame when it touches a target.)

I choose quality over quantity in the debate.

20:04:08 Jan 14th 08 - Mr. Vengence:

okay, we need one more participant to represent the other side. you might aswell people, as if you lose the debate there is no forfeit.

20:04:25 Jan 14th 08 - Mr. Might The God of Cows:

Quantity then... [It depends on how skillfull and where they are.]

20:06:36 Jan 14th 08 - Mr. Vengence:

might, not talking about a particular battle, just generally which would be better:

LET THE DEBATE BEGIN!

20:23:46 Jan 14th 08 - Sir Erunion Telcontar:

Quality. Definitely. The only time a horde of basic training troops would beat an elite army would be in an open field conflict where they could completely surround the elite army and fight all at once. That would still be risky however.
Why would they lose? Morale. First off, the elite army would work together well, they would use ranged weapons effectively and they would have a reputation.
Let's look at it from the perspective of the basic training soldier.
He sees an enemy army facing him down. He's heard about what happened to all the other armies that faced this one. He's peed in his pants before the battle begins. Once he sees a flight of arrows heading towards him, massacring his friends all around him, while his own armies archers are being entirely inefficient, he'll be terrified. Then when he sees the enemy army charging towards him and letting out their world renowned battle cry, he'll turn tail and run. Far, far away. And whatever troops are brave enough not to run at the start we'll see all their friends running, and will decide that they don't stand a chance after all. Which will start him running. Which will have a domino effect, routing nine tenths of the army, leaving the numbers about even when all is said and done. If anyone stays at all.
Now that the numbers are near even, the elite army will wipe the floor with the few poor fools who stayed to fight, then they will have their light cavalry chase down the routing troops, further scattering and demoralizing the few who survive.
Therefore, the only way the larger army will win is if they manage to surround their opponents. Seeing an elite force in a little knot in the center, while you look at the vastness of your own army encircling it is a definite boost to morale, which should give your men the strength and courage to keep fighting.
And I haven't even started on forest, hill or city conflicts...

21:19:51 Jan 14th 08 - Mr. Might The God of Cows:

Quantity. [Still all depends on if this "Skilled" army just came out of Elite Training or something and what equipment they have.] They would surround and over whel the defenders by the end of the day because the defenders wouldn't be able to fight all day in plate. Even if the Archers were ineffective they would still be able to his a large circle in the middle of a field. Being completely surrounded they would have no way to get supplys nor replenish their arrows. They would slowing be pushed into a massive circle.

21:51:45 Jan 14th 08 - Sir Erunion Telcontar:

Might, you forget morale.
As the commander of an elite force, I would use it as one body of men, slamming it into weak points. I would also use my superior mobility to gain advantageous terrain and avoid being surrounded.

If the enemy army did not run, as a commander I would have a line of "Retreat" I would have some of my men "Flee" from the battlefield, then the others follow. The undisciplined horde (I'm assuming that troops out of basic training would be undisciplined.) would make chase. I would run to a forest, then when I was at the eaves of said forest, I would have the troops who "routed" first fire a volley or two of arrows, and I would then have my troops charge into the now exhausted enemy force (again I am assuming that the force have less stamina and endurance than my own). The tired and strung out troops would be easy pickings.

22:20:36 Jan 14th 08 - Sir Revenge:

I join the debate as a spectator! I will be non-biased as best I can { Do I get somink fo this ^^ }

True, Quality does make a difference, the 300 a pure example the part where the Spartans meet the other greeks
The greeks are made of ; Potters, Craftsmen, Tradsmen
In other words lowly trained men they could throw together, in total they had about 4000 men but when asked the occupation of the spartans ; Warriors, from the moment they were born trained to perfection, truely better

Quantity , Even with highly trained men quantity can beat quality , just because sheer numbers
One man can only do so much, if the numbers are right a highly trained man could be no-one if he is being attacked from all angles, they could also surround them , pushing them into eachother, killing the outer sides and crushing in a way into....

23:18:46 Jan 14th 08 - Mr. Meowman:

everything happens while im ofline, your all in like opposite time zone... this isn't working... *Meowman attacks all the armies put together by himself and dies.*

17:28:54 Jan 16th 08 - Mr. Vengence:

Ok, This debate's result is:

Winner: Erunion

Reward: a chosen weapon that wil be given to all your soldiers

18:16:10 Jan 16th 08 - Mr. Might The God of Cows:

[How the hell did he win? Quantity can beat Quality with 10000 vs 1000 easily. I don't care HOW good your guys are.]

18:17:28 Jan 16th 08 - Sir Revenge:

Dont I get anything?
For being Un-biased spectator?

18:47:13 Jan 16th 08 - Sir Erunion Telcontar:

Might, it doesn't matter which would win. A truly unbiased spectator would agree with me, because I out-debated you. (Un-biased being someone who knows nothing about warfare. A biased spectator might even agree with me. Hey! I'd agree with me!)

18:48:05 Jan 16th 08 - Sir Erunion Telcontar:

Oh, I would like to equip my forces with (this is medieval right? So no rifles/muskets?) longbows. (That includes training and arrows.)
