Atheism is inherently evil
02:37:36 May 17th 10 - Mr. Lollylops:

  • Joseph Stalin
  • Adolph Hitler
  • George Washington
  • Mao Zedong

were all Atheists, does that mean Atheism is inherently evil? And that these men were spawn of Satan?

03:00:02 May 17th 10 - Mr. Rylee The:

lol i can bring up plenty of popes and crusaders who where pretty damn evil and ask the same thing about Christianity.

heres one for you pope Alexander VI.
i can even point out the number of criminals who "find god" in jail.
it makes a good argument on the surface but is really ridiculous.

03:01:48 May 17th 10 - Mr. Lollylops:

but their beliefs drove their actions, no?

Evil men do as evil men believe. Therefore, Atheism must be evil? Personally I think Satan created Atheism to stop God. And Stalin, Washington, etc were all pawns in his big game.

Christians are good btw.

03:12:54 May 17th 10 - Mr. Rylee The:

same for the evil Christians.

did you know that in one of the crusades a group of hundreds of crusaders ate people from a village they had sacked?
Christians are not good or evil and Atheist are not good or evil, good people are good and evil people are evil regardless of what they believe.
a men does not inherit the crimes of his father and as a Atheist i do not inherit the crimes of Stalin.

03:14:26 May 17th 10 - Mr. Rylee The:

also there is no reason to believe hitler was a Atheist and i thought Washington was a good guy.

03:35:43 May 17th 10 - Lady Patches Ohoulihan:

If the mighty English crusaders under Winston Churchill didn't go take Jerusalem off the Scientologists in 1099 and keep it until now, we'd all be speaking German.

03:41:05 May 17th 10 - Mr. Rylee The:

i just checked and hitler was Catholic.

where does that point your hypothesis now?

04:55:33 May 17th 10 - Mr. Arthur Dent:

Hitler was a freak!  All that Occult stuff :/  He wasn't Atheist maaan.

05:58:07 May 17th 10 - Mr. Rylee The:

well hitler was not behind much of the Occult stuff most of it was Himmler if i remember correctly

06:20:44 May 17th 10 - Mr. Vuggy:

What's wrong with eating people? And how is George Washington evil?

07:23:48 May 17th 10 - Mr. Arthur Dent:

"well hitler was not behind much of the Occult stuff most of it was Himmler if i remember correctly "

Noooooooope ;)  Sorry he was a freak with that stuff.  All started with the Thule society.  He was commisioned by the government to spy on the Thule society but he loved their occult stuff and joined with them.  A lot of his ideas are based off that, especially the Eugenics.  Himmler just helped Hitler carry out his plans.  Hitler even sent parties to the East in search of Amian people.

13:29:40 May 18th 10 - Mr. Tyrgalon:

you mean Arian I presume.

14:47:51 May 18th 10 - Lady Patches Ohoulihan:

Maybe he means Asian?

18:22:17 May 18th 10 - Mr. Tyrgalon:

haha :P

23:13:33 May 18th 10 - Mr. Erunion Telcontar:

No, Atheists are not inherently evil. You can still be a decent man and be an atheist, you are just a misguided man. Something to remember about so-called "Christians" committing atrocities, it is very easy to say you are a christian, or be called a christian. It is much harder to actually be a follower of Christ. As a rule of thumb, if they commit an Atrocity, they aren't exactly following Christ's teachings... Many, many people consider themselves to be Christians just because their parents were, or they go to church occasionally. Only God knows the heart, so only God can ever know who actually is a follower of Christ.

23:53:57 May 18th 10 - Mr. Hkoooxxx:

Hitler was a Christian!

My feelings as a Christian points me to my Lord and Savior as a fighter. It points me to the man who once in loneliness, surrounded only by a few followers, recognized these Jews for what they were and summoned men to fight against them and who, God's truth! was greatest not as a sufferer but as a fighter. In boundless love as a Christian and as a man I read through the passage which tells us how the Lord at last rose in His might and seized the scourge to drive out of the Temple the brood of vipers and adders. How terrific was His fight for the world against the Jewish poison. To-day, after two thousand years, with deepest emotion I recognize more profoundly than ever before in the fact that it was for this that He had to shed His blood upon the Cross. As a Christian I have no duty to allow myself to be cheated, but I have the duty to be a fighter for truth and justice.... And if there is anything which could demonstrate that we are acting rightly it is the distress that daily grows. For as a Christian I have also a duty to my own people.... When I go out in the morning and see these men standing in their queues and look into their pinched faces, then I believe I would be no Christian, but a very devil if I felt no pity for them, if I did not, as did our Lord two thousand years ago, turn against those by whom to-day this poor people is plundered and exploited.

-Adolf Hitler, in his speech in Munich on 12 April 1922

00:04:31 May 19th 10 - Mr. Rylee The:

i like that theory sadly it does not work for Atheists as there is only one thing that all Atheists have in common and that is a lack of belief in any god other then that they are free to believe in anything they want.

you can say yeah well a true Christian wouldn't do that where as a Atheist would say well yeah a true Atheist might.

funny thing is that there are about 2000 different Christian  denomination and even the Jews and muslins worship the same god so all three religions and all of there different sects believe that they are the truly faithful and the others are all wrong and are not true  Christians, Jews, or muslins.
what are the odds that you are right about god? how do you know what a true Christian would do?

00:05:10 May 19th 10 - Duke Rensmauth The Meek:

Let the flame wars begin, huh?

00:12:31 May 19th 10 - Dr. Evil:

yawn

00:36:33 May 19th 10 - Mr. Erunion Telcontar:

I don't know what a "true christian" would do. I do know what Christ did, and seek (and often fail miserably, to tell the truth) to emulate that in my life.
Also, identifying yourself with a group is an excellent way to make a connection with that group and raise support for your actions/get votes in a political campaign.

02:19:59 May 19th 10 - Mr. Kobold II:

atheism is not evil. It's better than Christianity. Hell it's better than most organized religions for very simple reasons. Most religions, believe it or not, discourage free thinking and serious analytical thought. As kids Christians are taught Jesus saved us and that's all there is. There was no other possibility, and to question that was blasphemous. They are brainwashed and taught never to question the "almighty" word of god. The same can be said of many other religions such as Islam and certainly Scientology. Read "the god delusion" by Richard Dawkins. Expand your minds my friends.

"A man's ethical behavior should be based effectually on sympathy, education, and social ties; no religious basis is necessary. Man would indeed be in a poor way if he had to be restrained by fear of punishment and hope of reward after death." -Albert Einstein

"What can be asserted without proof can be dismissed without proof."-Christopher Hitchens

and finally

“Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able?
Then he is not omnipotent.
Is he able, but not willing?
Then he is malevolent.
Is he both able and willing?
Then whence cometh evil?
Is he neither able nor willing?
Then why call him God?” -Epicurus
