History
04:06:58 Oct 4th 09 - Mr. Kjetilbert:

The first era that recorded my name in the history of VU is the era of Roxbury. When i was introduced, the game in itself was a buggy inbalanced cult site more than a challenging online strategy game. What kept me going was the community of which i was presented with in those early days.

This community had stories to tell. Tales of their already long lasting strifes inspired me. I was told these stories of VU by those who experienced it before me. Through my time here i've been playing along both sides in these early conflicts, and i have been told the tale from different perspectives.

My great grief is only that the ones who told me these tales are slowly, but surely leaving this community. The great players who contributed to the community through great gameplay and leadership were friends of mine, many of whom i shared personal things with. I realise now that the remaining of us must let go, and wish our parting friends goodbye. In this game as in life, we make up new friends and communities. The old ones are in time forgotten.

I returned this era to VU, after years away from the game. To my great disappointment, many of those i contacted only vagely remembered me as the winner of era 13. Maybe mine is a special case, since this feat is also my greatest regret in my time in the game. Also in my own mind, one of the worst eras i played. My point being, the memory of the old days is reduced to the list overview of the end game score. In my opinion, there should be written stories. Small texts giving balanced overview of the eras long passed.

Why is there no written history of VU?
No abstract tales of gods or creations of the world like in other games. There should be a clear referance to the wars that domminated the world of VU in each era! The victorious should be hailed, and the loosing side should be honored. For if our efforts are not soon written down, they will be corrupted or forgotten. I've seen attempts from some to rewrite history for their own benefit. This dispicable!

04:21:03 Oct 4th 09 - Mr. Pingvinai Daug:

So ask zeta to set up a game blog. Give each KD leader a page with a login. Then the players in the kd can write their accounts of the wars in their forums, and he can copy paste to his kingdom blog. Dont make it a forum thread cause that just becomes a flame fest. Its their story, as told by their writers. Simple. Maybe award the best written kd story each era a few bt's or a title or something...incentivise it a bit...who knows

i think that the High score page for every era should at least include a link to the video of that era.

03:42:43 Oct 5th 09 - Duchess Orioles:

Who would write the history of the era?  Like in real life, it can be fairly subjective...

02:09:28 Oct 6th 09 - Prince Gaius Septimus Cidellus:

I won every single era, without playing or doing a thing, and gave the era name to the second place person every time. I'm good like that.

;-)

One of our talents RPers.
Mac, Septim, Charley, Sci :P but most of them wouldnt do it

01:32:23 Oct 9th 09 - Lord Pesterd:

Septim should do it :P

01:52:02 Oct 9th 09 - Prince Whiskers The Feline God:

Septim is writing his stories and could care less about the wars in VU most likely.  Sci is old, busy with life, and lazy...did I mention old? :P  I haven't been able to write anything lately but when I can, I am writing a book and working.  Mac is probably the only choice, but he is also busy with life and couldn't even stay active enough to run Werewolf due to how busy he is...sooo...the RPers can't do it atm :o

01:54:57 Oct 9th 09 - Prince Gaius Septimus Cidellus:

Glad to be mentioned, and I would do it, but I am about as ignorant of VU affairs as one could be. It should be somebody with a lick of talent as well as somebody who knows the general history of Visual Utopia.

21:52:59 Oct 9th 09 - Mr. Ezatous:

The RPers are inbred fags. They shouldn't touch it with a barge pole.

09:49:02 Oct 19th 09 - Mr. Augh:

Hey Adelbert =)
I bet some people still hate you :P

22:18:17 Oct 19th 09 - Mr. Senturu:

lmao. I liked that. ^   But come on, it's BS. Mac is a good guy. Dont know the others ;)

Kjetilbert of HIV? , you would probs enjoy the game more if you carried magic support with your armies. Remember your venture into Talents this era?  For a previous era winner I was pretty surprised with the lack of MU's for such a nice army. What was up with that? :)

Don't know me? THIS IS SPAMALOT!

*kicks Senturu into the town water supply*

10:06:20 Oct 20th 09 - Mr. Tyrgalon:

I think Roxbury has a point, few remmber the great and everlasting wars between ZEON and Carnage, and how Carnage and Legacy where the top Kds that decided who lost and who won, by their power and skill in the game.
