07:08:03 Oct 28th 08 - Lord Charley Deallus:

Move to Canada ;p

07:16:35 Oct 28th 08 - Mr. Millenium:

oh yaaaa OHHH CANADAAAAAAAAA

19:43:16 Oct 28th 08 - Mr. Halloween:

Hmm maybe, though Sweden sounds nice :D

19:52:31 Oct 28th 08 - Ms. Laika:

We here in Sweden are probably just as worse of as the USA, "our" (owned by Americans) car companys Volvo and Saab goes down the entire western part of Sweden will die with them. Also our banks have been investing in Eastern europe which of course turned out to be a disaster, Sweden is in deeep *beep*. The other week our government guaranteed the banks money up to 200billion dollars wich defacto doubled our national debt.

19:56:10 Oct 28th 08 - Mr. Raxbury:

Basically move to Asia!

20:05:36 Oct 28th 08 - Lord Charley Deallus:

O_o Asia probably won't want you...it has enough people XD

20:11:28 Oct 28th 08 - Mr. Manwe:

sweden is socialist, just like the US will be if Obama gets the presidency, so rule that out. i don't know if canada has  a good governmnt, but i hope so. maybe greenland...

20:15:44 Oct 28th 08 - Dark Lord Osiris:

dont like socialist countries?

20:17:20 Oct 28th 08 - Mr. Tyrgalon:

socialist...lol :P part socialist maybe.

20:22:51 Oct 28th 08 - Mr. Killer:

Go to Antartica, no-one will bother you there. All you have to do is set up communication lines and internet to play VU.

20:25:04 Oct 28th 08 - Dark Lord Osiris:

just odd that an american could possibly dislike socialist countries

21:12:23 Oct 28th 08 - Duke Maltorv:

I'm an American and I'm not entirely anti-socialist.  I think the government should do more to promote welfare and education.

21:22:31 Oct 28th 08 - Mr. Brainiac:

no welfare is already abused enough.... welfare should be downsized... the democrats set it up and put money into, and now they took money OUT, so eventually it will run out, it needs reform...

Education agreed. Maybe it should be federal law to have a high school education to get a drivers lisence (if you're in school trying to get your high school diploma then you can get a drivers lisence) That would definitely make people go back to school...

Or even better NATIONAL I.D.'s.....

21:22:50 Oct 28th 08 - Mr. Mako:

Thailand, one of the few places in the world where the USD is still strong.

21:31:15 Oct 28th 08 - Dark Lord Osiris:

well all i can say is if "Socialist" troops are good enough to die alongside americans im sure some socialist countries are good enough to live in

22:13:02 Oct 28th 08 - Mr. Master Mind:

yeah, but thats because their not "true" socialists

22:31:50 Oct 28th 08 - Sir Mingan:

U.S. is NOT going down. You people are not old enough to recall the same thing happened to Japan when they were on top of the world's real estate market. This stuff has periodicity. Everybody takes turns moving into market prominence, then falling away. The problem is if Obama can capitalize on the problems his party has perpetrated on their own country. They helped manufacture this mess to try to pin the blame on the other side. EVERY committee in the U.S. Congress that has anything to do banking and finance is chaired by, and the majority is held by Liberal Democrats. Even the sub-commitees have a Democrat majority. The majority party in Congress (right now it is Democrats) gets to appoint it's members to all kinds of committes and they set their own agenda. This whole mess is generated by Democrats in Congress and they want you to think Bush is at fault. He does not have any control over it because the rules are all made in committee.

The U.S. will rebound. This too shall pass.

22:34:53 Oct 28th 08 - Ms. Sloth The Girl:

Move to Spain

We are one of the most Nuetral countires on Earth
We actually have a lower % of being hit by a Nuke on purpose than most of Africa :P

Also, good weather
Hot latino girls
Another Language

And ofc meh :D

22:36:02 Oct 28th 08 - Mr. Mako:

Mingan, Keep telling yourself that.

23:03:55 Oct 28th 08 - Mr. Master Mind:

Mako, keep being ignorant...cuz ignorance is bliss isn't it? Though I wouldn't know, so could you tell me if that saying is true?

23:08:41 Oct 28th 08 - Mr. Athens:

I got to agree with one thing he said though, the US will come back again but that will take a few years to fully recover. Also, bush isn't the best of leaders, but he is doing good with the economy at the moment even though he didn't do it, although as part of his job he has to take responsibility for this.

BRING BACK NATIONAL SERVICE TO THE UNITED KINGDOM!

23:25:44 Oct 28th 08 - Mr. Mako:

Master Mind, anyone who tries to blame one party for all the economic problems lately is full of *beep*.  Sure the Democrats had their part, as did Republicans.  The whole system is a mess.  Most bills that were related to trying to solve the housing bubble had so much added bs to them from Republicans that passing them would have been stupid.  The same goes when the Republicans create a decent bill, the Democrats only agree to it if they have their bs added.  Which is why for the most part nothing ever really gets done, and why both parties suck.

While I agree that the US will never fully collapse, we are heading into what will probably be a large depression.  The bailouts are nothing more than bandaids that while helping in the short-term will likely cost us more in the future.

For those of you who believe our country is still going strong and everything is good, lets see what you think a year from now.  That's when the recent economical crisis will really start effect the average US citizen.

The best days of our country have long since passed, today people are too complacent to do anything about the bs our government does. We've lost the respect of a lot of nations, and keep spending well beyond our means.  All of this is ruining our country little by little.  The US needs massive reform to get back ontop, but with the current political scene I don't see that happening.

Of course I'm the ignorant one, so you can just disregard all the above....  Please though "Master Mind" enlighten us...  Surely you have an argument other than calling other people ignorant.

04:16:44 Oct 29th 08 - Mr. Halloween:

I think the U.S will bounce back, but it will never be as awesome as it once was, california being the exception, and some parts of Texas... (Austin ftw)

Anyways, I never felt really attached to the U.S either, alot of my relatives have moved elsewhere, Canada, Euroupe, hell my grandma and grandpa even lived in Japan for 14 years. If Obama gets in, I think the country will spiral downward, and I don't plan to stick around for a long time while they sort it out. Don't get me wrong, I HATE McCain, but with Obama in the white house, democrats will have complete control over the nation for four years, which has the potential for an enourmous disaster, and I'm not gonna stand in front of the fan when the sh*t hits it.

04:32:16 Oct 29th 08 - Mr. Methane:

New world law. BAN Democracy. It's the worst and most corrupt form of government ever. It could work real good if all parties actually worked together for the good of the country, but all politians are nothing but power hungry fuckwits

05:01:38 Oct 29th 08 - Sir Mingan:

You are wrong to think the U.S. is going down. What leftist news agencies are you getting your information from? Tell me who is telling you all of this bull*beep*. One person here actually thought the U.S. would start a war to get out of an economic slump. Some of you think the U.S. will no longer be a superpower. Have each of you lost your minds? You have the analytical prowess of 11 year old school children.

The U.S. economy is measured in multi-trillions of dollars. More than any other nation on this planet. The financial reach of America is global. Dollars are everywhere on Earth and still will be in demand by most other developed nations that have buying power. EVERY major nation on this planet is heavily invested in the United States right now. A few billion dollars in debt will be dissipated among the trillions of dollars that still have value. It is as if you had a thousand dollars in your pocket, but you have lost a hundred of it. You still have 900 dollars. You are sad of your loss, but you are not completely divested.

Your dismall outlook amazes me. The power of leftist media is even more amazing.

05:05:54 Oct 29th 08 - Lord Charley Deallus:

If the democrats control the government completely, they will probably undo everything the republicans have ever done.  They will then pass anythin they want because they hold the majority.  The US government should never be completely controlled by one party...

05:20:52 Oct 29th 08 - Mr. Opportunity:

Politicians=retards

Why do they run our country again?

05:37:25 Oct 29th 08 - Lord Charley Deallus:

Idk...something to do with the fact that no one else probably cares as much...*Shrug*

05:59:11 Oct 29th 08 - Mr. Halloween:

mingan^^

You realize this thread was mostly for fun? just trying to see what countries people thought were great, and their arguements behind it. (so far kinda slow huh?)

My main concern is the strong presence of the democrats in the house and senate, and the possibility of a democratic president on top of that, this is not some silly thing I just made up, go research it, and while you're at it you can research some of the corruption amongst the dems. yes the republicans suck to, but the system of checks and balances is useless if we don't have variety. Political parties are bad, the founding fathers even warned us against them, we didn't listen though. And please take your patriotic bull sh*t somewhere else Mingan, or at least when you present your points, don't be a total @sshole.

You still have 900 dollars. You are sad of your loss, but you are not completely divested.  -  wow, I did not think you were that retarded, let me bring you back to reality, you're 30,000 dollars in debt, and more every day because you have to pay lawyers fees (armies) to fuel a legal dispute that your family no longer supports you in (america). still just a dandy stroll in the park?

08:48:59 Oct 29th 08 - Mr. Josef Fritzl:

Considering Paulson just nationalized the American banking system Americans should be the last people to throw the socialism stone. Trickle-down economics failed with a bang, the sooner you accept that the sooner you'll be able to take full advantage of the oportunities it offers.

"My main concern is the strong presence of the democrats in the house and senate, and the possibility of a democratic president on top of that, this is not some silly thing I just made up, go research it,"

What a funny and hypocritical talking point, all of a sudden republicans are for divided  powers, where was that thinking during the 4 years republicans controlled the White House and Congress? Republicans are just whiney *beep*es this election cycle, the smear machine ain't getting traction and they don't know why.

09:10:35 Oct 29th 08 - Lord Charley Deallus:

Obama talks about how Bush's plans failed...well the democrats shot down most of the stuff because they were the majority of congress...if Obama gets office then he can undo anything Bush did, and pretty much lose all respect with Catholic Americans with some sense of religion left in them...

10:19:48 Oct 29th 08 - Mr. Josef Fritzl:

I'm sure we'd all love to hear why that will be exactly.

10:24:57 Oct 29th 08 - Mr. Punny Monsta:

halloween come here in antarctida ill help u build up youg igloo.

Penguin

17:23:21 Oct 29th 08 - Mr. Halloween:

 np pengy xD

Josef, I'd love to hear why you think I'm a hypocritical *beep* incapable of comprehending your all-knowing power over the inner-workings of U.S politics, but that's not what I wanted to turn this thread in to. btw, where do you live?

17:59:42 Oct 29th 08 - Sir Mingan:

What? Just for fun?Holy Crap! You people get my goat every time.

Maybe I need a better sense of humor. Better yet, I'll stay out of the forums.

18:05:03 Oct 29th 08 - Mr. Josef Fritzl:

Does it matter where I live?

It's hypocritical because republicans weren't all up in arms when they were running Congress with Bush in the White House, but somehow when the Dems look like they'll do the same it's bad all of a sudden.

For a party that thinks government  is bad and should be rejected as much as possible they sure didn't have a problem with it when they were running it.

19:48:46 Oct 29th 08 - Mr. Halloween:

political parties should be rejected in general ^^

Does it matter where I live?

-sorta kinda what this thread's about, but if you don't want to share I obviously can't make you :D

19:57:09 Oct 29th 08 - Sir Spoon:

Go to North Korea. *beep* yeah.

20:12:51 Oct 29th 08 - Mr. Tyrgalon:

the only way for the US to become a superpower is if US stops spending more than it produces, US has already a long time been on the negative in its income...

20:44:28 Oct 29th 08 - Mr. Military:

U.S.A ftw

LOL I couldn't imagine how many gangbangings an american would get if they moved over there. It'd a form of art actually surviving for a whole day there

17:35:27 Oct 30th 08 - Mr. Dreadlord:

wherever you go USA wont leave you alone jsut like they dont leave anywhere in the world alone or allow them to develop..

18:48:03 Oct 30th 08 - Mr. Gravedigger:

We in Sweden are like "USA jr" when it comes to trends, so we will rebound too.

The problem is that people gets hysterical about these things and makes the depression a lot worse then it should be.

20:52:07 Oct 30th 08 - Mr. Mako:

if Obama gets office then he can undo anything Bush did

Good much of it needs undoing.

Though I still don't like either choice this time.  However, anything is better than Bush.

...Anything is better than Bush because he couldn't do much with the democratic congress shutting him down.  When a party controls the house and the senate, they pretty much block everything the president does if he is from the opposite house.  At first they may have passed some things but then they just stonewalled him when he tried to fix things.  If Obama becomes president, there will be radical improvements...radical is not good

21:55:10 Oct 30th 08 - Mr. Dreadlord:

bush obama its all the same :)

22:42:14 Oct 30th 08 - Mr. Mako:

Well for a good portion of Bush's two terms it was mainly controlled by Republicans.  That is when most of the crap I didn't like got passed.  As for the Democrats blocking Bush's stuff, both parties do that... mainly because even the bills that would do something good end up having so many bs things attached to them that it wouldn't make sense to pass them.

I agree that it's not optimal for Democrats to be in majority.  In my opinion we need to do away with political parties and lobbyists (yea I know it'll never happen, but one can dream) then maybe something positive could get done.

My main concern is that whoever we get into office works to restore the image of the US with the rest of the world.  We could start by following the same rules we expect the rest of the world to abide by.

23:07:59 Oct 30th 08 - Mr. Brainiac:

Well, it's not like the rest of the world follows them anywayz....

Not like theres much we can do really...

23:10:24 Oct 30th 08 - Mr. Manwe:

politics in latin means...

poli=many

tics=bloodsucking creatures!

socialism will ruin our country! even more then it is already ruined! socialism takes money from the rich and gives to the poor, which is a good thing. however, it takes away the motive to work, because whatever you make gets taken away from you!
